East Village Grill

I ordered the Gyro with fries and a drink. I've never tasted a gyro so bland. Even the tzatziki had no flavor. I'm not sure if the location has no air conditioning, or if it wasn't working but it was hotter inside than outside.

I had the gyro, soft pita bread, soft very seasoned gyro, very tasty. Customer service was good. Waiting at the time was less than a minute. I went during lunch and I will definitely come back again.

Ordered a gyro that came with no tzatziki sauce. No lettuce. Literally just meat and tomato. Could of been better. Unorganized and not really great inside. Looks cluttered and unsanitary

Sizeable portions. Goat special was definitely the highlight! Will return for the goat

Such a great restaurant located just next to Elliot Park. Their daily soup is a must have as well as their gyro!

Average at best. Average food. Slow/below average service. Nothing to rave about. We ordered the lunch gyro special and lamb kabob. $25 for this was a bit too expensive in my opinion. Especially since service was minimal. For a "sit down" establishment, this place is pretty bare bones. How people rated it much higher on Yelp is puzzling because it wouldn't get more than 2 stars from me.

I've only had the best experience here. No one has been rude/quite/unsmiling to me the few times I've gone there. I'm a little hesitant to write too glowing of a review as I don't want this place to change! I love the lentil soup that is preceded at each meal. I also love the off brand fanta that was quite good. The food is quite good and I enjoy taking a walk at lunch time and hitting up this place! I hope they never change!

Only has 2 stars because the food is really good.You've heard of the Soup Not-See. Now here's the Falafel Not-see.The guy was staring me down when I was eating. He demanded that I order some main entrees. I simply wanted a few snacks. I'm trying to watch my weight and I didn't want anything too heavy. Fried falafels, gyros, chicken, etc. Not my thing. He proceeded to stare me down and intimidate me into buying something bigger. My last experience there, he overcharged me for a falafel sandwich. Record your interactions with him on your phone. If you're reading this, owner...You're in America. This kind of false advertising and intimidation of your customers will result in many bad things. All the way from a dirty look to some guy tossing you out the window to something even bigger. Also, many of your customers are associated with the Vikings stadium. Not a good look to intimidate people who would likely be your biggest customers.

I've been coming to this place--on and off--for over a decade now. While the food is delicious, I've noticed that the owner OVERCHARGES customers. This was the case even before the current inflation issues. I will not personally come back here again. But if you want to go, make sure you ask about the prices before placing an order to avoid any surprises. Hopefully, the owner will be more transparent and honest about their transactions in the future.
