It's a nice small town grocery store. They have a great meat market, deli and bakery. They will carry out your groceries to your car.I've been going there for many many years, even back when it was Tait's!!

Driskill's Downtown Market is perfect for those oh crap, I'm outta of this moments. They have the basics, & due to their size, can't hold much more. The dairy department always surprise me with how far out their sell by dates are compared to big box stores. Their holiday ham's are out of this world. The service is very nice & accommodating to the seniors that shop there. However, the place is DARK. The last couple times I've been there, the bakery section has been empty; huge bummer. But what kills me the most is the produce department is just flat out awful, gross, & badly managed. I seriously think the produce department is the reason they keep the store so dark!! The moldy berries, the bruised/rotting apples, the shriveled up plum that's so old it's turning into a prune. I had to remove apples that were visibly rotten to get good ones today. In the banana section, someone put out a box of not quite ripe(part green/part yellow bananas on top of the more yellow ones. For the cost of food these days, the even higher cost in your store, the produce should be beautiful for the clientele you serve. There are a lot of people that shop different things are different places. This store has the potential to get more clientele, but not until the fix the basics.

Driskills is high in price and very little to choose from. the essentials I guess. They also seem to cater more towards cats and other animals than the dog loving community Hopkins actually is. But to continue my review, twice in 1 month, we had the incredible luck to purchase meat that was bad. I would say that is pretty pleasing to spend your hard earned money on food you cannot consume. The last item we purchased was Spicy sausage and the sell by date has not even came about yet. Pretty sure that was wrong. Yes I have told them and no nothing has happened. The staff might be nice, well most of them are I suppose. This store is a quick run in and run out if you have a family and need to quickly grab something. Definitely not the place to do any major grocery shopping, unless you get a senior discount or happen to be in a place financially where you do not care if you throw away your money. Simply put... if you want to go a couple of more miles, there are other options. Not pleased at all.

There prices may be a bit higher than most, but the staff is great, the salad bar is wonderful, and their day old bakery shelf has some delicious products most of the time. I still stay away from the deli, though.

I happened upon this store on my way to the post office. They have a surprisingly large selection of food: fresh, and regular packaged groceries. I noticed many people seemed to grab from the butcher/ fresh food area. Slightly pricy but only enough to take 1 star. If your around the Hopkins area I suggest you check it out.

This grocery store was very convenient when I used to live in Hopkins, but I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here. The service has gotten worse as time progresses. They make up for this with the fact that the store is practically immaculate. They also offer great ready-to-serve side dishes and meals in the deli section. The bakery goods aren't too bad either, but you will be paying a bit more than at other grocery stores.A couple years ago they used to serve Carmel Apple Salad for Halloween. It was amazing, but I think they stopped making it.

I absolutely love this grocery store! The people behind the deli/seafood counter are SO friendly and helpful. The prices are definitely more than the chain groceries, but you get what you pay for. My only complaint is that there is one female (older lady) cashier that is SOO crabby. Just a total mood killer. She clearly hates her job and wants everyone else to be miserable with her. There were two young adults working today at checkout and they were awesome!

For the money I am sure they have this is the best lil grocery store I ever saw!Everytime I go to a new grocery store in state or out I look at how much they raise for charity and I have never seen a store beat Driskills. Not Hawaii, not Cali anywhere. That is very profound to me and I think they go above and beyond here even if they do not have a wide variety of products though they have come a long way and deserve way more credit.

Great employees who are very helpful, and if you have an issue the management will take care of it with no problems (not that I have had more than 2 or 3 issues with any of their products in the last decade). Their prices have been steadily rising since they did their remodel, and more so since the pandemic started. I can put this off to higher costs for some things, so I am just very selective what I buy there. My only real issue is that In the past 2 weeks I have been in line with someone ahead of me not wearing a mask. The employees don't say anything, and the customer just goes on their merry way. I've spoken up about it, but the customer doesn't care and the employees don't seem to either. So I DO NOT recommend shopping here as they do not follow current health guidelines and allow people to shop without a mask.
