I love coming here! Not just because it's so convenient in location but because we've gotten to know the workers and every time we bring the kids they now order in Spanish as we make use of the words we've learned over the summer. They have great deals almost every day of the week which is why on certain days we go either for the tacos or pupusas. I tend to get the pupusas revueltas which is a mix of cheese, beans, and chicharrón. I love their agua de Jamaica (hibiscus flower) and make sure to get a large.

Don Goyo is a lovely restaurant in Columbia Heights. It has a wide selection of Mexican and Salvadoran dishes. The service was quick and our server was attentive. She checked on us often and answered any questions we had. The restaurant was busy on a Friday at lunch, which is always a good sign in my opinion. We got the tostones, tilapia, burrito with chorizo and a chicharron pupusa. For 2 people, that was a lot of food and we had a good amount of leftovers! The tilapia was perfectly fried, but could have been seasoned a bit more. The tostones were also well cooked, but underseasoned to my palate. The pupusa was delicious and the chorizo burrito was excellent. Overall, I'm looking forward to coming back.

Ordered pick up. It was delicious. I ordered birria and pupusa. Both were excellent. I think they could definitely turn up the heat! But I understand we are in Minnesota. The staff were friendly and helpful! I would definitely stop in again!

My first time in New Brighton and I was so happy that I got to try this restaurant out!I've noticed that not many South/Central American restaurants in the Twin Cities offer complimentary chips and salsa and was pleasantly surprised. I loved the carne asada plate and the Horchata, but what truly won me over were the pupusas. I got the revuelta which is a combination of pork and cheese all covered by a crispy flatbread (for lack of a better term). Would definitely come again!

Placed a delivery order on a lazy Sunday, clearly the two of us were hungry because we ordered quiet a variety! No leftovers! We ordered the Carnitas Burrito, Horchata, Pollo Guisado, Revueltas Papusas, and Yuca. Many of these items were a first for us. I wish I could order a KFC sized bucket full of the Yuca it was so yummy. Very much a comfort food! I always appreciate a variety of side sauces and they did not disappoint! I've been meaning to review this for a while and the burrito isn't clear in my mind, however, the rest of the items we ordered are still vivid! Take that as you will. The Pollo Guisado was delicious! I love pickled things so the addition of olives intrigued me!Very good value overall for quality of cooking and price!

I am on the search for some of the best Birria tacos around the Twin Cities and these tasted authentic, full of flavor and an absolute must to try!!This place is located in a strip mall with a decent amount free parking. There is limited seating inside. I originally was going to take my food to go, but there was an open table and I decided to take a seat. I enjoyed the music that was playing! It definitely added to making this experience feel authentic! I felt like I had been transported to El Salvador! The service was very quick, although I was never checked on during my meal and I noticed the other two tables were... The Birria tacos were very very good!! They had tons of meat, cheese onions and cilantro! There were 2 sauces that came with. The orange one was very spicy! Delicious!! I didn't try the green. The consommé was very flavorful! The Queso Pupusa was excellent! If you have never tried these, it's a must! The chips were thick and crispy and the salsa had a subtle flavor of garlic and tasted good! The horchata was a bit of a let down. To me, it tasted like sunscreen... not what I have tasted from other places. I would not get that again and instead would recommend a jarrito. Definitely give this place a try!! I will definitely be thinking about those Birria tacos until I get back there!!

I've only been there once, and I like to try street tacos as a gauge to their worth. Tacos were great. Sour cream was overpriced at $3 for about 2 tablespoon amount. Neither mine nor the other meal received red or green sauce, obviously an oversight - it was a to-go order. Would try again, but will make sure sauces are within the order.

Salsa tasted like ketchup/ tomato water. My father and husband had the Shrimp cocktail which had 4 pieces of shrimp and the rest was tomato chunks. They ended up having severe stomach sickness later that day... go somewhere else!
