Dollar Fresh - Hy-Vee

Went there today first timeVery nice storehas everything you need for groceries!I had a pork tenderloin sandwich from the kitchen dept!Yummy!

I know Coborns has a bigger selection in some things, but Dollar Fresh is so much less expensive. For almost everything. A few things might be the SAME price.I find so many good deals here, it's crazy the store is as empty as it is when I come here!Fine, if I want turkey bacon or vegetarian baked beans I might need to make a second stop, but it's worth it to save the $70 per grocery trip. Knocked one star off because their prices often don't ring up correctly, but they're real quick about helping you with that.

WHAT IS WRONG with the people of Glencoe?!! I drove all the way over from Arlington to shop. Don't get me wrong, I love Coborn's and left them a positive review a while back too, but C'MON! This place is PACKED with great food and amazing deals! This is a smaller version of Hyvee, and I just don't get why they aren't busy since THE EXACT SAME GROCERIES you can buy 'anywhere else in town' are at least 15 % - 25% cheaper here...50% in a few cases!!! EXACT SAME BRANDS! I really don't get it. IMHO - They should have brought this grocery store to Arlington! We are stuck here with an over-priced grocery store with sub-par products. FYI - Today at Dollar Fresh I bought the EXACT SAME BRAND qt. of milk for $1.30 cheaper, the EXACT SAME BRAND PF Chang Frozen Entre $2.70 cheaper, the EXACT SAME BRAND BREAD $.98 cheaper, the EXACT SAME COTTAGE CHEESE $2.03 cheaper, the EXACT SAME BONGARD'S BUTTER $1.25 cheaper, the EXACT SAME PILLSBURY TOASTER PASTERIES $1.99 cheaper, and the list goes on and on. I also stocked up on Pork Ribs...a huge pack under $5.00...Chicken, Kielbasa $1.40 CHEAPER...and NONE of it was on sale, mind you. These were their regular prices! Honestly, Glencoe...WAKE UP! This place is AMAZING and they're going to close their doors because for whatever reason, you're loyal to Coborn's only...who FYI - aren't even based in Glencoe or Glencoe family owned...all the while missing out on this AMAZING store. IMHO - They do need MUCH better exterior signage, however! I had NO CLUE they were even there until a couple of months ago. That said...what a pity the town of Glencoe is ignoring this place, because WOWZA! They ROCK! And PS Dollar Fresh - If Glencoe doesn't want you, can you please move your store to Arlington?!!! We would be THRILLED!!!
