Diamond City Bread

From the moment I opened the door and began my descent to the lower level bakery, the overwhelming fragrance of freshly baked bread wafted upward to greet me. Then I could see the counter with loaves upon loaves of breads in many flavors. The cinnamon rolls were large, frosted, sweet, and filled with cinnamon flavor all for an unbelievably low price. The sourdough bread was moist with a crust requiring a slight pull - perfect plain but out of this world when accompanied by a slice of cold butter. But don't believe me. When in the area visit Diamond City Bread and taste for yourself.

Just visited again today and cannot say enough good things about the customer service. The energy and willingness to help from the staff is unmatched. The quality of the bread continues to be stellar - we love this local spot! If you haven't visited before, I've included a picture of the entrance - it is down the stairs and the sign is kind of easy to miss if you aren't looking for it.

We stumbled upon this gem due to the donut place around the corner being closed for a week. We are so happy we did!! No, they don't have donuts, but better than donuts!! We almost judged and didn't step down the stairs to this bakery, but you need to! Ambiance: A basic bakery inside... simple and clean. The people working (possibly the owners) were so friendly and passionate. They have a wide variety of breads and sweets available daily. It was a Saturday, so we got the Garlic Cheddar sourdough sliced. I was informed they are at the Plymouth farmers market on Wednesdays and I am the most excited about those flavors, so I will be there! We also got a cinnamon roll (I am obsessed with theirs because there is more cinnamon to bread ratio, many others are so dry... NOT theirs!). The chocolate muffin was super moist and I wanna try the others! We couldn't pass up the homemade focaccia... I've never had more spongy and fresh before! Also, we got some lemon blueberry fritter bread for another day. Overall, we will be back here and anytime we go up north. Thanks for such a great energy and product!

Most delicious bread I can find in all the bakeries I have been in. Better than whole food and Byerlys. Friendly service. They even offer to help you to your car. Or to bring order to your car. You can't beat that for service. ALSO they are so charitable and making donations to the community alway. Such a wonderful place in ELK RIVER. I recommend it always.

This killer bakery is literally underground and an absolute find. In old Anoka right offthe main drag this place sits downstairs baking incredible bread, cookies and rolls and making some delicious deli sandwiches. The staff is so kind and helpful and they feature daily bread specials. They are also featured at several twin cities eateries with their incredible breads, come check this place out !!!

Always amazing service and THE BEST baked goods. I love their scones, brownies, baguettes, breads. I have never been disappointed!

I've lived in Elk River for about 2 years and started going to Diamond City Bread this past summer. Let me tell you - they know what they're doing! I brought home the French Peasant this afternoon and by 4:30pm it's nearly gone. Great selection, prices and very friendly staff! I was able to get a frozen Blueberry Fritter Bread and I'm patiently waiting for it to defrost. By 12:30pm all pasteries were sold out, so I recommend going early. This is a must-try if you're in the Elk River area!

Found almost accident.Came Saturday mid morning. They had a great selection of bread and even real freshly baked French baguettes. By the time I got home half was already gone. It tasted GREAT

Love the bread. The employees are always friendly and smiling. They have a nice variety. Love the dinner rolls they have at holidays.
