We came to Devil's Advocate before a show at Orchestra Hall. The restaurant itself is really conveniently located & reservations were readily available. The folks who sat us were really helpful, finding an accessible table for my dad (who's in a wheelchair). Our server was also really great & confirmed that we had a show to get to (& made sure to bring the check quickly, etc.) The restaurant itself was pretty nice, I like that they didn't lean too hard into the devilish/hell theme, which could get tacky quickly. We started with the burrata appetizer, which was tasty but surprisingly was served cold. I wish there would've been more bread, 4 slices wasn't enough for all of the burrata & sauce. My dad & I also split the Brussels sprouts (crispy & delicious) & the margarita pizza. There weren't a ton of vegetarian options, which was a bummer, but the pizza was pretty good. The sauce was sweeter than I expected, but still tasty.

Pros: very close to the orchestra and other downtown hot ticket locations like the convention center. Food was really good - pizza and burgers and fries. Some interesting stuff on the menu such as foie gras juicy lucy, good happy hour and drinks. VERY cool website. It's what lured me there. Cons: slow service. I had to ask our waiter to repeat nearly everything he said because he whispered it, and we only saw him on the floor once about every fifteen minutes. Took us about 15 minutes to get a bread basket, which doesn't seem that long but sure does when time's ticking. We didn't get our food until about an hour after we sat down. Ambiance was kind of odd. Felt like a saloon mixed with Porter Creek or some other dark wallpaper new American food place. Half the floor was covered in rugs, making the tables wobbly, the other wasn't. I told the waiter about it and he said 'well, the tables are just like that. I'm not the owner.' With the amount of wobble it was hard to talk and not worry about my glasses spilling! So basically in review: probably a good thing for drinks or light food, not the place to go when you've got a time limit you thought was reasonable for a meal.

We had a great happy hour experience prior to a show at the Dakota. It's easy to find street parking nearby. We had the lasagna, steak sandwich and brussel sprouts. The lasagna was very spicy, but good! The steak in the steak sandwich was perfect. Delicious - we will be back!

Nice menu options, food was fairly quick and good. Service could have been better, they didn't have enough servers on a fairly busy Monday night. There is a very cool fireplace but the rest of the place was typical industrial sort of look, kind of cold. Speaking of cold, they left a door open and the cold wind blew right in. I would have rated a 3, but I think they just happened to be having a bad night. Again food was good and that's why I was there...

Bar scene with friendly people and service. It is a bar with tvs all around. Bar area is busier than table service but it was after 11pm. There are lots of regulars from what I can tell since the workers and patrons were on a first name basis. Decor is modern/mahogany/cherry wood tables and chairs. It is inviting and not divey. Nice place for happy hour with coworkers and business associates. Our server was Tate who was very helpful. We were disappointed that there was no pizza available. Skillet lasagna was our favorite. The brussel sprouts were pretty charred with a little bit too much cheese which made it salty. If it was a little less cheese, I think it would tasted better. Green beans were sooo good. Teri/sesame Sauce was and not overly sweet. The beans had a nice firmness and crunch -the way we like it. The charcuterie board was amazing and saved for the next day to enjoy since we had ordered tons of food for 2. When we come back to visit, we will definitely be back for food and drinks again! Check them out!

Went here for the 1st time last night and sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and truffle fries were great! It was difficult to find parking. Overall nothing special but worth trying once

Waiter was a little green but very patient and kind. Nice clean open space overlooking the square at orchestra hall, can make for some interesting people watching. I'm trying this whole keto thing so I didn't dive full into the menu. Food...is tasty. Family raved about the Meatball Burrata. Red sauce is very very rich. Steak tips are good, the white horseradish sauce makes it really good. Billy's Brussels are great for keto and wonderfully flavorful. Should be shared, very heavy. But that's the intent, so not a slight just a statement. Major detractor was food came out cold. I ordered the stuffed meatball and the cheese was still cold, like solid not melted and cold. Will come back and hope for better prep from the kitchen.Update: came with a large group with a lunch reservation, service was good again. Food was good. Anyone with allergies be warned, several people in our party had an allergic reaction...we think to the fake fire place. Definitely something in the air. Burning eyes, irritated throats. One in our party left early due to the irritation to the eyes.

Went to the Devil's Advocate for libations. The food was great and we even had fun having drinks from the "Sinners" section of the menu. Here are two of the amazing drinks you can select and have fun with. The first one is "The Alchemist" a blend of lavender and other concoctions. The second one was a smokey mezcal drink names "Santa Muerte" as in saint death. The place was fantastic it felt dark and cozy and had tables and a lounge area giving it a Miami feel. The lighting was dark and dim and the decor was fantastic. The service was amazing considering the size of our group. Our server was kind and patient with us all. The menu was beautifully made and the items matched the theme of the place. Whether you want to try to sign a pact with the devil or come perform an exorcism or become a mad scientist, well this is the spot but either way you will enjoy the food, drinks, and company. I would highly recommend checking this place out #devilsadvocate

It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The Ceasar salad was the best thing we got - we ordered a meatball sandwich, goat cheese pizza, and some sides. For a place that hypes up the meat balls, eh.

The drinks were good and for the most part food was too. The crab cakes were so so to me I am a little biased being that I lived in the east coast so I know good from bad. I took one home to finish. Thought I was just woozy from the drinks tasting paper but come to find out at home I'd been eating it. I was not happy as you can it's a LOT of paper The icing on the cake was our server stopping us on the way out telling us our payment didn't go through. We paid cash.... Must have gotten us confused with the other black couple although the restaurant only had 3 tables
