Denny's 5th Avenue Bakery

Stopped here for the first time today because I drive by it everyday and I finally did it! Wow, not only incredible, fresh, soft, spongy donuts, but some of the most amazing customer service. Just a great experience here. Will definitely be back. Amazing donuts and amazing ambiance and service. Thank you for being so amazing!

Unfortunately this first try experience was met with a major disappointment. I ordered a half sheet cake for my son's 30th birthday party today and when I arrived at home with the cake my wife informed me that the message decorating the cake was done in pink. One, I am color blind and didn't realize while at the store but Two and what seems to be common knowledge to me and many is that the color pink is considered more associated with being feminine rather than for a son's birthday cake. I'm sure we'll survive but this seems to have been careless on the part of the persons involved with making this an exceptional experience for my son and myself. BTW. I attempted to call and let them know of my displeasure but their phone was no longer giving me the option to speak to a live person as it was earlier today when I called to confirm that the cake was ready for pick up.

I love this bakery. It has amazing tasting donuts, cookies, cakes and other pastries. They have the cutest decorated mini two tier cakes decorated for the season. The donuts are made fresh in house. We love the elephant ears. Staff are friendly and helpful. They also make beautiful custom cakes. This is the best option to check out by the mall of America if you are visiting. I'd argue it's one of the best places in the metro for locals. I would highly recommend it. There's something for everyone and the prices are reasonable.

I had a cherry fritter, along with two old fashioned donuts, chocolate & blueberry. The cherry fritter was flavorless. The fritter was colored red, but had zero cherry taste. The outside wasn't crispy either. The chocolate old fashioned was crisp on the outside, and soft in the middle. The chocolate flavoring was fair. The blueberry old fashioned was incredibly dry. The blueberry flavor was good. I wish I would've purchased a coffee to dunk this donut in. It might have made it taste better.

This bakery never disappoints! They went the extra mile to make my 60th birthday cake the best ever! Always love their donuts and other goodies. Would recommend to anyone who wants good quality baking.

Great locally owned small business that's been in the same family for over 50 years. This place has the best chocolate icing on donuts - it's a rich chocolate, with a lot of cocoa in it. So many donut places (including one about a mile away) use some fake chocolate icing that's artificially flavored, without cocoa in it. The batter/dough they use for their donuts is really good. Donuts & pastries are always fresh.Their fritters have a great cinnamon taste to them. They don't include apples in their fritters - they'd be even better if they did - but the rich cinnamon flavor makes them quite good.They're open only until 2 pm (Tu-Sa) so get there early. I'm sure there isn't much business later in the afternoon, so it make sense.Quick friendly service. Very nice customer seating area. Immaculate business.I love their "old fashioned" donuts. Really good flavor; denser (as they should be). But their raised donuts are really good too, as are their cake donuts! Danishes are great as well. I haven't tried everything here, but it all looks fabulous.

Always fresh, great selection, wonderful employees, my go to bakery! You won't be disappointed.
