Deep Water Grille

Came here for a Lental Friday Fish Fry while traveling to Ashland for Book Across the Bay. Wanted a fish fry for Lent & it did not disappoint. The beer selections were good local beers with only be $6 a pint, very reasonable.My girlfriend got the beer battered & it looked amazing. I was craving something blackened or Cajun & loved my decision. Many places will give the non fried fish choices much smaller pieces but here they did not do this. For $20 it was right on point from a price perspective compared to most Wisconsin places nowadays. Also sweet potato fries not being extra was great.Great indoor decor atmosphere. Very nice place to catch a meal on a weekend night in town.

We were greeted right away and seated by our server Lisa F. She was on point got us waters while we looked at cocktails. Great menu- good selection! My boyfriend got the fish tacos- excellent- I got the smoked turkey wrap and cup of clam chowder was very good! I tried an island martini and he had the Burberry mojito both were very good! Good came quickly Lisa checked to make sure everything was good! This is inside a brewery lots of things to look at! We will be back!

I came here with my family of 5 and a friend's family of 7 for lunch at noon on a Wednesday. The hostess asked if we had a reservation, we did not, but it only took her a couple minutes to place us in the back booth - two tables, one large booth. The service we had was very good!All the kids got kids meals, and I was surprised by how large they were. The adult portions were a good size also. The food was good, but not amazing. I appreciated that you could get sweet potato fries with a sandwich order, and it wasn't an upcharge. I would come back here for their ability to deal with a large party and their great service.

Decent mal but little flavor in the curds, Alfredo, or the tiger shrimp. The clam chowder has wild rice - unexpected and would have been nice to know in advance. Only the old fashioned was truly good.

Excellent restaurant in all aspects! Food was great at a great price point. All with the best, friendliest service I could ever hope for. Every detail of the food was exceptional. The Lake Superior whitefish prepared perfectly, the mac n cheese best ever, and even the mashed potatoes were mind blowing.

Drove up to Ashland to enjoy a beautiful day and discovered this gem of a restaurant. Very nice atmosphere, comfortable seating, fast and friendly service, and the food was delicious! I enjoyed a Lake Superior whitefish sandwich with a side of clam chowder with wild rice. My wife loved her pulled pork sandwich with to die for bbq flavored waffle fries! Prices are very reasonable, and as a bonus for you craft beer aficionados, they are affiliated with The Alley, which makes and serves South Shore Brewery beers!

The salad I had was about the best salad I ever had in my life. My friend enjoyed a different salad and said the same thing!Lively bartender! Good wait staff!

Great food, great service. We always go there for celebrations! The lighting is a little low, but overall very nice atmosphere.

Very nice place. Quiet and comfortable inside. They brew one of my favorites, nut brown ale. I had the ribs which were very tasty. We have been here before and we will be back again when in the area.

This is one of my favorite restaurants; the food is always excellent, staff is friendly and on the ball, and the atmosphere is fabulous. It never disappoints. Today I had the grilled Cajun whitefish, absolutely perfect sweet potato fries, and to top it all off we ordered the chocolate volcano cake, which came with a fruit salsa, and delicious ice cream --a stunning presentation! My friend, an extraordinary baker, kept saying "this is to die for." Thank you for a special treat!
