Dawn's Corner Bar & Grill

I'm a Midwestern boy that has lived in California for over a decade. I miss good pizza, and this place was such a great surprise. While visiting a friend that lives in the area, we stopped in for a burger. Let me have the bartender explain this menu item: "Dawn's burger? Are you sure? Are you sure you want that burger? It's a pound of meat. Are you sure? A full pound of meat." Ha! I always order whatever menu item is named after the establishment, so this is what I was gonna get. Wow, no joke, it was HUGE! And delicious. Great burger. Had to remove a patty just so I could get a full bite of the burger! Okay, now back to the pizza. I knew I wanted to get pizza on this trip, so I ordered a sausage and pepperoni to go. I think they only do one size, and toppings are limited. Classic tavern style thin crust. I didn't even eat a slice because I was so full from the burger. But, I ate that pizza every morning for breakfast for 3 days and it was so fantastic I might visit my friend 12 times a year just so I can have a pint and enjoy a pizza and just be content.

Very good pizza! Tasted so yummy and also their steak bites are amazing, the server was so nice and kept refilling our drinks, bingo was so fun and the place was such a great atmosphere lots of people enjoying the night!

We stopped here after Chapel Brewery's 1st Anniversary Party. The menu online needs to be updated as they don't have fried pickle spears. Ordered bacon cheese burger with peanut butter. My sister ordered a cheese burger special that includes salad bar. Salad bars are so 1985 but whatever. The wait was long over 30 minutes for burgers and a case a dilla. Another server brought food. I had to wave waitress for a refill of water. Granted it got busier but service could have been better. Maybe have another waitress on. My cousin's case a dilla was at least 12" in diameter and had a second meal. Food was good, service needs to improve.

Note: I am not related or even a local of this business (from Shakopee, MN). Nice hometown atmosphere, everyone is real friendly. We stopped for a beer and dinner. Beer was poured almost to the very top, with no head/foam! For dinner had the Cheeseburger and Tots, both of which are very good. Stayed for Bingo, another plus for the business. Highly recommend Dawn's Corner Bar & Grill, great people and food!

This used to be a great place to enjoy a salad bar and a more supper club menu. Unfortunately, I will not go back. Food was average.

I have been to this bar and had some great times but tonight I walked in with a friend and a smile and was refused service. When I asked why I was not told but then again more aggressively asked to leave and quickly. When looking for a good spot to chill don't stop here! Especially if you look like me and my pal : just sayin...

I'm all about a local dive bar and this place was right up my alley. Came in from out of town and was looking for a place to have a couple drinks and some food. They have full liquor bar and a pretty good menu. Staff was friendly and they pour a good drink. I'd go back if I ever go to that area again.

Great local establishment. Most Sat/Sun there is a Bloody Mary bar that is fantastic! Food is always good and servers are very friendly and efficient.

I've been to Dawn"s corner bar a few times and it's always been a nice place for a few drinks or a meal. Dawn is awesome and I love supporting this business.... However, I had some friends join me for yeti bingo last week and we were treated horribly! We had no reservation, but in our defence, the Facebook post that alerted me to the event didn't suggest reservations, and there were empty tables at bingo time. I ordered food right away but my friends wanted to wait. When our server came back to check on them, she told them they had to order "now or never." It was 1pm and the kitchen was not closing. When ordering drinks, you're not given a size option, but when we got the bill, there was a $1.75 uncharged for a tall glass, not a double alcohol drink, just more mixer. Again, I've been to this bar in the past, the drinks are always in a pint glass, and there is not usually an up charge. It made the drinks cost 8-10 each... at a dive bar! I expect this in a downtown restaurant, not a small town dive bar. When we noticed the uncharged, the server yelled at us from across the room. Long story short, I don't think I'll ever go back after being treated so rudely.

How is Dawn's such a hidden gem in Dundas? They have a great selection of appetizers, a vast burger menu, and super friendly staff. It's a small town bar menu, for sure, but I think they do a great job of it. For me, a burger with an egg on it, with waffle fries, is just about the perfect bar lunch. Especially if served with Brad Keselowski's favorite beer, Miller Lite on tap. You know what? You can get this lunch at Dawn's. Don't want a burger? Get a steak sandwich. Delicious. So check it out! There are not that many good places to eat in Northfield/Dundas, and Dawn's is easily in the top five. This place should have a hundred reviews.
