Davanni's Pizza & Hot Hoagies

A little slice of Chicago in the St. Paul Suburbs!This is a great place to grab a pizza or a hoagie. Their deep dish truly rivals the Chicago greats (and be prepared to wait for your pie to bake). You've got to try their garlic cheese bread. Their hoagie selection is also great and priced acceptably. The restaurant atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but their to-go options are painless.

We got to go orders as a group for lunch on our teacher pd day today. I got a chicken Cobb salad. The entree size was a perfect size. The chicken was flavorful and everything was fresh! Quick and easy pick up and nothing wrong with the order!

Today, my family ordered a kids pizza and two hoagies. The dining room was empty except one couple eating their food. Soon they left, then it was just us. It took 20 minutes for the pizza to come out. It took 28 minutes for the hoagies. This is the Davanni's standard I guess. My previous two visits spanning since last Fall were the same. I used to be a frequent visitor here in my teens and college days. I even worked at the one on Cleveland in St. Paul for a year. I know how long it takes to make shit, and it is not 20 minutes for a solo or 28 minutes for hoagies. There is something wrong at this location. There has been for awhile. The employees don't care, they just offer up half hearted "sorry" or stupid excuses that are bs. I think I know why the dining room is always near empty now. I used to think it was good timing, now I know they've driven all their dine in customers away. Intentionally from the look. Why don't you just close the dining room instead of mistreating customers? When we were leaving today, the one couple that came in after us were at the counter asking where their food was, and they looked grumpy. What the actual Fk are you doing Davanni's? This has been happening long term. Either figure it out or shut it down. Maybe the latter, it doesn't matter to me though because you've permanently lost this customer.

The food at Davanni's is always fresh, hot and tasty! My favorite hoagie is the club (Turkey, Canadian bacon, Pepperoni and Mozzarella) made on a whole grain bun. The garlic butter crunchy top and the fresh lettuce and tomato are delicious. This store makes a monster good pizza. I love the sausage because it has some kick. They use fresh mushrooms and lots of cheese. The traditional crust is not too thin, not too thick with just the right crunch. This is a favorite place for a great meal for the family. The people who work here really go out of their way to make customers happy. I enjoy watching the team working fast to make the pizzas. The place is CLEAN! It's welcoming and the bar is lovely. I've gone early to pick up a pizza just so I can grab a Surly and watch a few minutes of the game while I wait. The staff is always happy to have someone at the bar to take my order. The upbeat family environment is awesome.

Personal size pizza! Cheese & pickles Love this place.Want to try more food. The hoagies are good too but get the wheat bread & ask for extra meat or there is too much bread.

We called in an order to be picked up at 5:30. Arrived and was told they messed up and put 6:30. They'd pop a pizza in and it would be 15 min. 20 min later, oops, they forgot to put it in. Finally got our order at 6:15! Guess what we got for our trouble? 1 free soda. Seriously? Save your money, they obviously don't deserve it.

This davannis is your solution to a bad day! From it's newly renovated interior to comforting food it has everything you need to cure your blues.The hoagies are the best thing about this place including the feel of the warm buttery bread in your fingers. They can be a little pricey but they taste so good and filling. There's something in the mayo/oil? Condiments they use which make it more addictive. I like the thin crust pizza as well because the quality of cheese is outstanding but the hoagie is what really takes the cake!They have booths designed for work too because I've seen a lot of people working while eating here,or even holding business meetings. They have a huge space in the back for parties also.Try ordering online- they have a lot of good deals on desserts and family packs. The brownies are to die for!!

this was atrocious almost died from pineapple on pizza. I'm allergic to pineapple. Lucky me, my dad was there and saved my life

Favorite Hoagie, Pastrami wait not on the menu anymore, wait have to order a tasteless sandwich. Food was always excellent in the past. Just tasteless sandwiches now. Pizzas good, if that's what you want.Sorry Davanni's think your great, just miss the Pastrami.CE

Just picked up a takeout order from here that I was told would be done in 25 mins. Showed up in 25and waited another 20 mins for my pizza to be done. They left the hoagie sitting under a heat lamp in the box 5 feet from me the entire time I sat there. It was ice cold when I bit into it. Got made right away and just sat on a rack to get gross and cold. Hot hoagies is literally in your business name. The only comment from an employee when I left clearly not happy with getting handed cold food was a very sarcastic "have a nice day." What a terrible experience. Order from any other Davanni's. Bad management. Employees clearly working hard.
