Danno's

Had Dinner here during the Anoka Car Show. We ordered Burgers and Onion Rings. The cook said the Onion Rings didn't come out the best, so he wanted to give us a basket of Fries. The burger was good and the Onion Rings were not that bad, but appreciated the cook and the establishment takes pride in what they offer to the public.

**THIS IS A DIVE BAR** do not go into this place expecting more than what it is. Bottom line, the food is damn good and reasonably priced. I have been a few times and had very friendly and pleasant service. My favorite day to go is Tuesday to take advantage of their $2 burgers. They also offer other various specials M-F. I also strongly recommend the Wings and the Steak Bites which maybe the best I've ever had.

Came to Danno's on a whim to see what they offered. 2 dollar burgers on Tuesday? What a deal! Anyway, we didn't stay for them. It wasn't the staff, the selection, the price, or the building. It was simply how absolutely dirty the entire bar/restaurant was. We walked in and her immediate comment was, "wow, look at the dust." Honestly it was overwhelming. I grew up in small town bars in small country towns and this has been the most grimy bar I've ever been in. The staff was absolutely awesome. We received the delight of the dinobites, and then we left. Without a doubt they probably have amazing bar food. The dinobites were one of the best fried food dishes I've ever had as an appetizer. Our waitress was super friendly and fast. Based on food taste and staff, 4 solid stars. Based on building, 2. Based on cleanliness after 3 months of being closed -3 out of 5. If you're looking for a dirty bar though, this is the place!

Met a friend here for some beers. I really like this place because it reminds me of the taverns I cut my teeth on back in Wisconsin. Tap selection is pretty limited; you have your standard corporate beers and a couple of locals as well, and a reasonably stocked selection of distilled spirits. I am not sure if I'd call it a dive bar, but it is certainly not "high falutin". It is a really comfortable place.The place has a cool friendly vibe, and you can rub elbows with all walks of life. They have a small dance floor and a DJ as well. A number of friends who have frequented this establishment say the bar food is certainly pretty good. The next time I am there I will report back. I did notice on a basket they were serving somebody near me that they have Tots, so they automatically get an extra star for that.

I'm going to just come out and say it - Danno's has the best bar food in downtown Anoka!Danno's was last on my list of trying every restaurant in Anoka. It took me about a year to finally get to Danno's. My expectations were low. Boy, what a surprise! I don't know who's running the kitchen program and who's doing the cooking...but Danno's has awesome food!My "Dyno Bites" jalapeno poppers were the best I've had anywhere. I tried some of my friend's beef tips & baby potatoes. It was excellent. The beef was cooked perfectly. My burger was good too. And my daughter liked both of her chicken selections, chicken wings and chicken tenders. I never expected any of this coming out of the kitchen of an Anoka bar.Our server was great too. She was very articulate, funny, and totally on top of everything - nice!All of this comes in a super casual, unassuming, dive bar atmosphere. I don't like Karaoke. But luckily, our timing was good and we missed it.I'm calling Danno's 4 stars. But if they're consistent and just as good on my next visit, I'll bump them up to a 5 star dive bar.-Daddy Maxx Retro

Burgers, burgers, burgers!!! Hands down one of the best burgers in the twin cities. Don't be turned off by the dive bar decor. Bob is a total bad ass in the kitchen. GO HERE NOW...favorite is the patty melt with a fried egg. Enjoy! You can thank me later.

Fantastic - need I say more. Yes, it's a dive bar - but the food is great. Owner cares about making everything good and staff is generally attentive.

Anoka's average bar offers a tasty cheeseburger basket special on Tuesdays for $3. Before realizing I should have taken a picture, I jotted down everything. Crispy, not mushy, crinkle fries. Nestled along Main Street is a pleasant surprise.

Fun place, great music. Had concerns about my credit card and the manager worked with me right away. Turns out it was my fault. I appreciate the responsiveness and would recommend this place all around.

I Absolutely love this place. Angie is such a fantastic bartender and the atmosphere is awesome. A must see!
