Damsite Supper Club

We ate here again a week ago and things have gone downhill a bit. This is not a super club. If you go in expecting that you will be disappointed. This is a bar with food that has a very stark, very bright, and very white room attached to it. The staff is uniformly friendly and the bartenders make nice basic drinks. There are hints of homemade chef driven food, but much of that has gone downhill some. I liked the ribs before but the portions are smaller and they were very fatty. The burgers were just ok, and nothing special. The walleye was pretty good, but also somewhat spendy. The best thing we ate was the hog wings, but they are $5 each. The salads were fresh and crisp. Overall this whole experience was just ok. I'm numbed out a bit since I thought this would be a place that I loved.

This new restaurant at the site of the old Pine River dam might be better titled "Trainwreck Supper Club"This old pharmacy converted to a bar/ restaurant has that generic clinical feel in the dining room. Bare white walls and big empty room. We had the brisket and the ribs. Our sides included the mashed potatoes, the beans, the broccoli, the rice pilaf, and the side salad. The ribs were good. The brisket was terrible. The rest was just okay. Our server was clearly trying to be nice, but she was unbearably fake and over the top about it. For example, she kept taking to us in a high-pitched voice like we were 3-year-olds. But what really bothered us is how inept she was and how bad the bartender was at their job. The server didn't know basic things like kinds of beer or drinks. For example, we ordered one kind of beer and she returned with another (and then proceeded to charge us for it even though we didn't drink it). Then the bartender made two Long Island iced teas - one had so much sour in it that it was undrinkable; the other had none. We tried to get them to mix them together to even it out and the bartender simply threw one out. Three drinks that we didn't drink, all of which we paid for.

The food is very good! The service was great. I think it is wonderful that they serve veterans and active service members free lunch on Wednesdays. They truly appreciate their freedom and respect those who have served.

I have ate at the Damsite several time's. The bar tender is so friendly. Even dings on occasion. They have the best all you can eat shrimp on occasion

Great location across from the river and newly expanded park in town, really good food, have eaten here several times, always a nice experience. Service friendly and helpful.

The food was great! The staff was great and friendly! Very clean business. Owner greeted us and very friendly and considerate. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely not good. I've tried several times. Got Diablo Pasta. 4 shrimp, 5 small disc of sausage. My friend got less of each. Don't order unless you only like dry pasta. No meat. So sad. Also had smash burger, don't. Unless you like a plain meat. Everything cost money...

Went on a Friday night. The only two things you could order was shrimp or pizza. Not sure how they call this a supper club?? Maybe a tavern.

I posted a review earlier. After our poor experience the owner reached out to a member of our group and invited us back a week later. I have been traveling so I am late with follow up. The meals were comped which was way beyond what he needed to do. It was a large group again. The service was much better. The food was still good but it came out warm this time. I still believe that with a table of 14 more than one person would bring out the food when the order is up. But our server did get it all out and to the right people and it was still warm. I went with four stars this time as the owners efforts and their desire to make up for the bad experience. My wife and I will be back in the spring and hope the food continues to be good and the service continues to improve. Give them a try!

Good food, great service. I had a French dip and my husband had a hamburger. Both were very tasty. The waitress was super and the bartender was great too. Will go back!
