Cupcake Bakery

My rating is 3.5 stars. I'm rounding down.I found Cupcake Bakery when I went to Mason Jar Kitchen to pick up a takeout order. Both businesses have the same entrance. Cupcake is located in a large plaza. You can't miss the signage of a huge cupcake in blue and pink.I parked in one of the curbside pickup spots. I was picking up a takeout order and felt that it was fine.While waiting for a nice woman to fetch my order, I was looking at the desserts. This place has ice cream, macarons, and lots of baked goods. The chocolate croissant caught my attention. I knew that I needed to get one.When the woman returned with my Mason Jar Kitchen order, I asked if I could get the chocolate croissant. Yes! She got me one and placed it in a paper bag.I paid with a credit card. I also managed to include a tip. It was straightforward.I thanked the woman and headed back to the hotel to have lunch. I had the chocolate croissant as an afternoon snack.The croissant was okay. It was buttery, but it wasn't as flaky has I had hoped. It was more dense like a paperweight. I wanted flaky and airy. The chocolate was yummy. I prefer dark chocolate and loved it.I feel the need to go back and consume more items. The cakes and cheesecakes looked yummy. I was too early to take advantage of 50% off all pastries after 3 pm. I need to come back after this time and see if I can find a pastry that wows me.(459)

I don't think I could recommend Cupcake Bakery. Their variety was very limited. We end buying a slice of Cheesecake which was lacking in quality as well, just as good as a store bought frozen cheesecake. The cupcake I tried was a triple Chocolate cupcake. The frosting was a very silky buttercream frosting the best thing about it, the cake was dried out, very dissatisfied and disappointing. They do sell Sebastian Joes ice cream however, perhaps to draw people in to get them to buy their cupcakes.

good variety in flavors and dietary restrictions! They have a few vegan and a few gluten free flavors. I always love a place with options! I ordered the mocha cupcake and the cheesecake one. They were good, but not the best I've ever had. I'll be back for sure since they do have options for people with dietary restrictions!

I've been a fan of the Cupcake brand for a long time. Their original location was in a place I went to weekly with a kid and we had the best sandwiches and the best customer service and OK cupcakes.I've been to the Eagan location several times over the years, most recently to get a kit to decorate cupcakes at home. This was fun for my kids, and worth the drive and $$ to not have to make all the things myself. I also decided to treat myself to some macarons, and Yelpers, they were stale. They were so stale I thought maybe the pastry chef just doesnt know how to make them except one flavor was so perfect and so fresh. So I know my other expensive treats had been left out for way too many days. Sad.One thing I tend to fret about it how should I tip for take out? It's an old question, and I know it's complicated. But as I was staring at the screen, the counter worker leaned over and chose for me on the touch screen. That was pretty forward of them.

Service is always very good , food stays consistently good, and there you have it! They do appreciate feedback, if you don't say anything how can they make your dining or anyones dining experience a good one!Manager on hand, nice folks really. Tip well, it's their bread and butter-

Came here on a weekday evening for some cupcakes! Was in the mood for something sweet and was in the area.We came and were greeted right away and to let them know when we were ready to order. We decided to get a triple chocolate and a red velvet to go. The cupcakes here are a little pricey, around $3 to $4 for each, and they are normal sized. The cupcakes were okay. Not anything groundbreaking...I liked the chocolate one, but the red velvet seemed dry to me. Disappointed overall.They also have ice cream from Sebastian joes here and well as serve coffee drinks. I will defiantly come back and try these other parts of their shop. Maybe I will try some different cupcakes next time.Overall the place is nice. The entire place is combined with a restaurant so I can imagine it can get loud. You can sit just in the cupcake side though. I will come back to try this place again.

You would think with the name 'cupcake' the product would be exceptional. However pretty disappointing order especially at $3.75 per. Order arrived Cupcakes were partially frozen, for the price the quality should match. My wife and kids would have had more satisfaction out of a box Hostess.

I was invited back to Cupcakes by a friend. I hesitated because the last time I was there the pressure to leave the table and the refusal to give us more coffee while my friends and I caught up (pre-COVID) was unbelievable. So I gave them another try. Now I get COVID restrictions and limitations. Ugh! Same experience. We felt very unwelcomed. First, they give you a 90 minute window for the booth. Ok....I get that with COVID. They give you a card on the table that tells you when you need to leave. This card and time were mentioned more than once. The waitron was or seemed quite impatient to take our order. Finally, we decided to just enjoy a cup of latte. This really flustered the waitron. She then told us we shouldn't be in the booth then if we were just having coffee. She said she'd allow it though. She reminded us how busy they were. The line out the door must've been at another door because I never saw it. We stayed. We enjoyed our coffee. We left 91 minutes later. Never again! I'm sure they won't miss me, but really?!?!! My friend John goes there quite a bit. I'm not sure he believed me when I told him about my last experience. Well.....he does now. He was more irritated than I was. Maybe because I was expecting it or maybe because he hates when he's wrong and I'm right.

Really poor customer service. I walked in and waited forever for someone to acknowledge me. Eventually a young lady came over to see how she could help. I wanted to make an order for the next day. This would have been less the normal 24-he notice. That's fine and understandable if they couldn't commit to it. However, the woman behind her immediately scowled and said, "we don't commit to anything before 9am" and walked away.Not a problem - Byerly's is down the street and will get it down at a lower price and infinitely better customer service.

I just called to book a birthday party here. I talked to Mike! He must be the manager there. He was rude! He didn't make me feel invited to have a birthday party here! An was abrupt when the day was booked! Nov. 14th! He sounded almost relieved to not let me have my daughters party here! Asked my name to be spelled a thousand times! Poor customer service! I hope their parties are better then the people that work there! And he hung up the phone quickly after!Good luck! Here!Ms.Bird
