Cub - Mankato East

Went to this store (4/14/21)Love the layout of this store!Store opened in 1985!Great customer service!Love the fried chicken here!

Will be new to Mankato, and this stop was part of my visit. Store had decent food, but I wasn't that impressed with selection. Basic stuff that Walmart will have besides maybe your seafood/deli counter. Lighting is dark. Didn't end up buying anything, even though I waa looking for a anack. Small selection of fresh produce. Mainly dry, packages, and frozen foods. Will check this store out again to get a closer look.

The original Mankato Cub, opened in 1985, is a wonderful place to shop. Nice variety of items, friendly helpful workers, and clean store. I've come across some hard to find items there, such as Festal canned pumpkin, MinneApple syrup, and even Red Owl grocery store memorabilia (during the 50th anniversary year of the company in 2018).

This can be a hit or miss grocery store. They have most items you are looking for but sometimes you'll have to search high and low. If you are lucky, you can ask someone in the bakery or meat section. I find them to be most helpful. It's tough finding someone on the floor that is willing to help. Cashiers are hit or miss as well. Most of the time I choose the self checkout. If I have a lot, I'll try one of the cashiers. It would be nice if they had more lanes with baggers. I don't mind bagging myself, but when I have a full cart, you end up spending more time checking out. The Madison location is closer to me, but if I had to choose and I was in the area, I'd shop at the riverfront location.
