Because we attended the golf show in Minneapolis in Feb, we got the opportunity to get free green fees at a number of area courses. Creeksbend was one of the courses on the list. The course was clearly a farm at one time which led to beautiful views, rolling hills, and a lovely creek running through the property. Farm structures have been converted to golf buildings. The course has a lot of potential but needs a bit more maintenance. Most tee boxes were a bit rough. The back nine had some squishy areas. Many of the holes had blind shots which isn't my fav. As a twosome, we had plenty of time to drive ahead and check out where we should aim but it would be nice to see the pin more often. They had some nice landscaping areas and beautiful flowers. The forward tees were around 4800 yds which is little shorter than I like but still a fair yardage. The staff was super nice. Very welcoming and friendly. Carts were nice. No GPS but nicely padded seats.

In the hopes that this review will save someone the money and trouble of traveling to Creeksbend in New Prague, I'm taking the time to post my experience. I totally acknowledge that I am spoiled by the upkeep of my local city course. But I was dumbfounded by the lack of maintenance throughout the course. Our foursome discussed all day long about the course conditions at Creeksbend. We came to the conclusion that the maintenance staff must have ALL quit, because this course showed lack of care in the upkeep. ALL of the cups on the greens looked like they hadn't been moved in weeks. Even to the point where old cup locations had browned over and the grass was dead. Fairways or what was supposed to be fairways hadn't been mowed in awhile. Tee box markers hadn't been moved in awhile. Lots of the teeboxes were so dry and lacked grass that you need a hammer to put the tee in the ground. Now I remember why I hadn't played this course in awhile. And I will not be traveling to play it anytime soon. Not even sure I would put it on the rotation if I was a local. Would much rather spend my money at Boulder pointe. Too bad too, this course has a great clubhouse and so much potential. Even the driving range and putting green are up to standards. For $66 (with cart) save your money and play elsewhere.

Alright, so I have been here about 5 times now. I don't come back because I am so impressed with the challenge on this course, but more because it is 1/2 way for me to meet a friend and is cheap. If I was paying more than $25-30 I would give 3 stars. There are so many deals for this place it is hard to pay more than $25 for 18 holes with a cart, be sure to check on line or your normal discount websites like Crowdcut, Groupon, etc. My most recent visit wasn't great, but it's not their fault IMO, Minnesota Golf Courses in general have not been blessed this spring. For being in the middle of corn fields in Mid-Southwest Minnesota, this place has some decent elevation and water features on a number of holes. Most par 4 and 5 holes are pretty wide open, you can grip it and rip it with the driver and not be in serious danger of going OB. For a guy with a somewhat inconsistent stroke it definitely offers some relief. A good golfer might get bored with the challenge here and should probably play from the Blue Tees, but for an average player like me it's not bad.I wouldn't suggest driving out of your way to play here, but if you are meeting someone and trying to find a 1/2 way point like I was then this course will do just fine.

Love this course, I have been coming here for around 10 years to participate in a golf scramble that my friend hosts. Its in New Prague that is 30 minutes south of Burnsville, so its not terribly too far. There is a lot of variety on the holes here, mixing an even amount of part 3, 4 and 5's. Every hole has character and can be challenging if you don't know how to play it right. Nice clubhouse that has a good size bar and plenty of space for banquets or a small wedding. Because of the isolated location they have great specials during the week.

Course is OK but the tee boxes are NOT the correct yardage based on the scorecard. The senior tee boxes are all placed with the ladies tee boxes so it plays 550 yards shorter than the scorecard shows. That's just lazy course maintenance. Play is very slow. My friends and I have played a few times. There is no starter. There is no ranger and God help you if you play on a holiday. You'll be out there for 6 hours. It's not a beginners course. The course is short with not a lot of water or sand hazards but the great equalizer is the rough. It's kept long (thankfully) which means you want to keep it in the fairway. Sand traps are not maintained very well and the pins always seem to be in the same place when we go there. Staff are all polite but there aren't enough people maintaining the course, but staff shortages are everywhere these days so I give them a pass on that. Have never seen a manager there.

Slowest course I've ever played Almost 6 hours for 18 holes. No ranger. For the price they could get someone to speed up play. We'll kept but not worth killing a whole day for.

My score would have been higher, but the have nothing to eat in the morning, not even a microwave sandwich. I live nearby and this is just a good course. It is my #4 choice in the area so I don't see it often. For the dollar you won't find better.#2 is a strange hole and you won't find many like it elsewhere. Play for position.....period.#12 fun hole#14 although a par 5 it seems excessively penal. Don't go through the trees.

I moved to Minnesota in 2010, when I play golf it is through Golf Now , so I play Tha hot deal courses. This year I discovered Creeks Bend. What a fine! This course is not a converted cornfield. Love it and the employees always treat you great, whether you paid $50 or $12 . Hats off to a first class operation.

Awesome course! Challenging, beautiful layout. Fast, undulating greens. Plenty of water, sand and rolling hills to challenge the course management skills necessary to play this course well. Hats off to the staff at Creeks Bend!

Pretty dissipointing. My wife and I bought 2 full rounds of golf with a cart and balls off Amazon local deals. We had an 11:38 tee time on Sunday September 8th. The starter asked us to tee off after we see a 4-sum in front of us tee off which would delay our tee time by 10 minutes or so....so far no porblem. At 11:40 we noticed no one on the tee so we started. We burned thru the front 9 in about 1.5 hours! Then, at the turn there were (get it), 4 4-sums and a 2-sum waiting to tee off. The starter came out and was very nice, however, he made his point that he wanted to delay our start so we didnt run into this problem. As it turns out our delayed tee time woud have been closer to 12:25 if we did what he asked....totally unacceptable. He went on to say they everything was screwed up due to having miss booked a large group and that they were just trying to fit everyone in. As it turns out we only played 9-holes plus playing hole #9 twice then left. I would have been upset but the starter was a nice kid just trying to due the best he could. You would think he would offer us a refund or credit for 9 holes, but no dice. We won't be back, either will any of our friends in the gold community.
