Review is just for comp town only. Plenty of free parking nearby or you can opt to take a shuttle also. No entry fee but a donation is encouraged and honestly to keep the facility this way, I always pay the recommended amount and then some.Every year, we come to Como Town at a minimum 1-2 times per summer. I would highly encourage people to walk up to the ticket booth to see which rides are not operational and then assess whether they want to buy the ride bands or not. This was our 2nd time this summer and unfortunately the rides that were not operational in early June were the same rides still out of commission in late July including the roller coaster so docking a star for that. Plus, pro tip: hold your breadth when using the bathrooms here!On the positive side - this amusement park is very affordable (see ticket price pic). Staff is friendly even with them clearly being short staffed. Lines are always short with the longest wait time that I've ever observed is less than 10 minutes. Free (see above) entry. A couple of concession stands with all the sugary delights plus you can walk into the welcome center where there are more food options.

Ok, let's start with the good: it's small, easy to walk with little kids, you can choose whether to go on a ride or two, or get an unlimited wristband (currently $24-30 for kids depending on height, $14 for adults). There are lots of rides that are good for toddlers. The place caters to young kids, so there are no rides really intended for older kids and adults, which is fine. Now, the bad: the past few years when I've come here, a solid chunk of the rides are closed (we're taking ~30% consistently. I've never seen Hodge Podge Park or the Splash Zone open. Today the swings, roller coaster, and bumper cars were also closed. And that makes the unlimited band feel like not such a good deal. It almost feels like a scam when they make zero mention of what is closed at the ticket booth. Other places for improvement: no seating in the shade. No water refill stations or drinking fountains whatsoever (you have to go into the zoo, which is free, but inconvenient). All in all, this is a great spot for toddlers who can't handle long days, and willing parents. Once your kid is about 6, you may be better off at Nickelodeon or Valleyfair.

This is the 3rd time I've taken my children to como town. We really like it. It's a great place to take small children. Everytime we've been able to get a discount band using groupon or some other coupon site. Then we buy a few points for ourselves. They go on a card that never expires. There's no admission at the gate although there is a recommended donation. The food is not too overly priced. Parking can be a pain but this last time we took the shuttle. Save yourself time and go straight to the shuttle pick up....so easy! Also being a swimsuit for the kiddos. Their splash area is super fun!I gave them 4 stars because their tables were really dirty in the picnic area and the unisex/family bathroom stink to high heaven!

I bought all-day wristbands through Strib Deals and got 4 for $36! It was great for the kids. I brought a 12, 8 and 5 year old... it's probably best for 3-4 year olds, but we had fun. It's also great with the zoo, conservatory and park right next door. The food is kind of pricey, but not outrageous ($3-5 for softserve ice cream, $5 corn dog, $7 foot long, $4 cotton candy)You can spend the entire day here for relatively cheap. You can bring your own food and eat in the park, go to the zoo and jump on some rides - overall good time!

Really big park. A lot of open space. I have been to two bbqs with my family and I loved this place both times. A lot of kids. Sounds. Different Cultures EVERYWHERE. Trash cans everywhere. Indoor bathrooms. Great place for a family get together.

Solid amusement park for the littles, easy to get in and out vs larger places like Valley Fair. Avoid the Zoo, it's sad and stinky.

Ride operators are not that helpful (cars). Give no instructions if you should assist the kid to the ride. They just stand around like teenagers trying to get a free paycheck. On the firetruck ride the operator just shrugged his shoulders and blew me off when I asked why my son's truck didn't move up and down. Didn't offer to let him ride one that worked. The guy was a jerk. Glad I don't live here, the place is a dump with bad ride operators.

Visited today for the first time in a few years. It's super run down, and literally half of the rides were shut down. ( we found that out on our own) Also there were two open rides that abruptly shut down before my kid could even ride them. The drivable cars-only ONE was usable ( out of like 10) so that line was obviously long. So for the 30$ unlimited wrist band my kid was only able to go on 4 rides. Every single vending machine was out of order. The water area was unusable. Trash everywhere. Luckily we decided to visit the zoo afterwards and that was pleasant like always. I never do this but i actually asked if I could get a copy of the receipt for my purchase of the wristbands ( I told them I didn't need the receipt at first) but they claimed they couldn't give me the receipt later on. I was going to request a refund because it was extremely disappointing but I guess not!! Spent maybe 45 mins there because my kid got super bored of the 4 rides that were open.

Today I had a bunch of international students who wanted to come to como town. Michael really looked out for us operating the boat swing ride and made it a memorable experience for all of us! We are all forever grateful for the fun time!
