This is a beautiful city of Minneapolis run course. It's not a long course so there are plenty of par 4s under 400 yards. The longest tee boxes are less than 6300 yards. The holes have some elevation changes and there are a lot of mature trees. Some of the greens are a mess due to people not fixing ball marks. But most are in good shape. The course gets a lot play. The cart paths could use some maintenance too. There is a ranger on the course to keep people moving and we played our round in under 4 hours! The club house is over a 100 years old and is in great condition. There's a snack bar on the lower level with sandwiches and hot dogs. I will definitely be back.

I had a fun time golfing at this course. The course is in great shape. The greens are fast, but roll perfectly and the parts that were closed last year look awesome. The staff is very friendly and they help you with what you need. The plus side about this course is that you don't have to worry about parking because they have a big parking lot.

There actually can't be a shittier driving range in existence. They're making me keep writing but this place really sucks, hardly ever open and the balls suck

6am. Friday morning. The sun is just starting to rise in the east. The dew is still on the grass. The course crew is just getting started to make sure the course is perfect for the day. And it is.In the backdrop of this picturesque course is the Minneapolis skyline peeking through the 100' tall oak trees that fill the course.This. Is. Perfect! The fairways seem to go on forever. Yet we're in COLUMBIA HEIGHTS! In the metro!10 minutes from my office in Uptown.Awesome!Rolling hills and lush forests are everywhere. Greens are nice and the fairways are nicer. The crew is very aware when you approach their loud mowers and shut them off so you can make that "golden" shot. The price - very fair for a large inner metro course. How did we shoot? Probably horrible, because we aren't any good. But we really didn't care. This course was perfect.

This facility is a great one for the metro area. It is in the city, but the design allows the golfer to lose themselves in the nature of the course, and rise above the feeling of city life for a while. It is semi expensive, however. So if one is looking for a cheap outing, this might not be the place for you. It is however moderately priced so it's a good place to treat yourself if you have the opportunity, but you don't need to add a special savings account in order to play it.The learning facility is wonderful. Targets are spread across the range which is a personal favorite of mine as opposed to simple faux greens to aim for. The staff was very friendly, and their professional was also helpful. Once again, the learning facility is moderately priced. The range balls run about 15 bucks a bucket, which is a little pricey compared to other practice facilities I have been to. This is a good price for range balls in the metro area, however. The practice green at the learning center is very nice. It is full if undulations and has enough length to practice lag putts. In my humble opinion, it has a little too much undulation, because when I'm practicing putting I like to have about 20 feet of flat, straight terrain to gauge myself with. This green does not have even terrain for even 5 feet anywhere. I really enjoyed my time here. 3 out of 5 is a great score from me. I would imagine 5 out of 5 to be Augusta National.

Columbia is a really good option for a Minneapolis Parks Golf Course. There is no shortage of hills, water and it is in a great location right on the out skirts of Saint Anthony Park. This course gets busy, and they have a variety of league nights. Plan in advance for leagues, if you get caught behind one it can really slow down the pace of the game. Like other city golf courses it plays pretty close from hole to hole. If you're not a straight shooter you can easily wander onto the fairway for a neighboring hole. One of the things I do like about this course, they have liquor! A lot of city courses only offer beer but Columbia has a small selection of spirits available as well, bonus in my book:) We're lucky to live in a city with such a variety of public, city maintained golf courses. Columbia is worth the money and fun to play, check it out!

The course was perfect for us. Plenty of trees and hilly fairways. Greens were fast but not bad. Play here when you can

Course is alright my problem is the staff because cart Marshall pestering us to hurry up when we let 5 people go ahead of us kept telling us we are behind schedule on a DEAD day when we also had stopped to eat lunch at the pro shop. Terrible staff, and mid course. Would've gone back probably but staff completely ruined it.

Overbooked. Had 3 groups of 4 spread out with 5minutes of each other. Management told us to hurry up when we were the ones having to wait at every hole. Actual course looked like a frat bathroom(im 28 and havent thought of a frat in years). Not maintained in the slightest and they closed the back nine indefinitely for no reason. Will not be returning

This course is ass. I swear I almost got attacked by a crocodile in this swamp course. Employees were dicks and threatening to make us skip wholes (we played 9). They were terribly overbooked and we were waiting for 2 groups in front of us and still got harassed by management
