My son had learned so much there, and it is obvious that the teachers truly cared about him and his well being.

Oh jeez where do I begin. Do not take your kids here. The staff are under qualified, and only work here because it's an easy job to get. I overheard a female who works in the toddler room talk about how she "forgot" one of the kids in the bathroom I've. She was laughing about it and said "that's what he gets for peeing his pants" I overheard this woman at a public location. My jaw dropped when she said this and mentioned this exact location to be her employer. MY BABY girl almost went here but there weren't any available slots. Be aware.

Choo Choo Montessori School is now a NAEYC certified preschool! As for the reviewer below, I can assure you I am a real parent with two boys who have attended Choo Choo. One is now in public school. I really don't appreciate the implication that I'm a fake person writing fake reviews. Feel free to ask the director who I am based on my profile photo, I'll be happy to introduce myself!

Kind, caring staff who will take excellent care of your children while providing them with exactly what they need so they can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. My son is a 1st grader now and he has many fond memories of his time at Choo Choo as a preschooler! He's exceptionally kind and well adjusted and loves to learn-- I attribute a lot of this to his early childhood experiences, some of which were with the teachers at Choo Choo Montessori. Also, the facility is exceptionally clean and the learning space has a calm, peaceful atmosphere.

My infant daughter went here for a grand total of three weeks before I pulled her out of there. It was making me sick to my stomach. The infants were the most unhappy group I've ever seen, spent most of the days strapped into bouncers, including for eating and sleeping, and were only held to be carried to the changing table and back. Look how many of them have flat heads. That should have been my first clue. I nursed my daughter every day upon pick-up so was there for at least 30 minutes at a time, and I became more and more concerned the longer we were there. The teachers seem extremely stressed and not able to handle the group. I witnessed at least one baby who had been placed for tummy time crying alone half off the rug while the only teacher in the room said her name in a sing song voice but didn't go to her for at least 5 minutes. I also felt like they never told me how her day really went. It was either "good" or "fine". I have since transferred my daughter to a daycare that holds her and provides much more information about her day, including pictures and live updates on an app. I would never go back. Trust your gut on this one.(A side note, the very detailed rules and parent handbook, which made me feel better about this pace at first, is I believe part of the problem. When you have to change every baby at least every 2 hours, you leave no room for flexibility.)

The other review here on Yelp is clearly written by Choo Choo Montessori as it's giving rave reviews. I have a horrible impression of them before my child even attended. I registered my child to attend. He was put on the waiting list, and we were told they were expecting a spot to open in four months. In three months I called to determine the start date. When I called it goes straight to voice mail, which I thought was odd. I left a voice mail explaining who I was and the information I was looking for. When I didn't hear back I called again a week later. Again, I never heard back. I assume they were over-booked and were too gutless to call and tell me they made a mistake. This is a poor way to run a business and my child is better off going somewhere else. To parents out there, don't plan on your child being able to attend if registered. And if you do plan on going there, don't give your current daycare notice until Choo Choo has actually confirmed!

We loved having our kids at Choo Choo, but a recent job change made us have switch schools. We loved the staff and our kids flourished there. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful experience in the infant room at Choo Choo Montessori. Our little guy started there at 4 months, and we were sad to leave, but we moved out of state. The infant teacher, Miss Christine, is wonderful. She's capable, calm and respectful. Our LO loved her - and we already miss her. The things we appreciated about Miss Christine and the infant classroom.... first and foremost, they follow the AAP rules and Montessori teaching style. You hear such terrible stories about how kids are treated at daycare when parents aren't watching, but I never had these worries there. They always put babies to sleep in a crib (not a swing, bouncer, car seat, etc.), without blankets and on their backs. They engage the kids (even infants) in structured activity - we received sweet hand/foot paint artwork and a father's day card that we cherish - they even brought in a petting zoo for a day! You'll see teachers on the floor with the kids. They don't own swings or jumpers, so kids aren't "babysat" by these devices. They clean everything daily - our LO never got sick! Our little guy is a ball of energy and can be a handful some days, but Miss Christine handled him with grace - she even talked about how much she loved his fiery spirit. Plus, my LO grew quickly in his developmental stages with Miss Christine's help - he was crawling in no time. The infant room is never less than 4:1 kids/teacher ratio and usually 3:1, sometimes 2:1. Also, I worked nearby, so I often popped in at random times throughout the day, and I always approved of the care I witnessed during my pop-in's. The only thing I wished were different was that the infant room was rather chilly - we dressed him in long sleeves and pants in the summer. But, all told, we truly will miss Miss Christine and Choo Choo Montessori, and I'm glad they were our little guy's first daycare experience.
