Choo Choo Bob’s Train Store

We hosted a birthday party there and was delighted for everything. The owner prepared all the decorations, utensils, plates etc. they have small party favors prepared for each guests too. It's 250 for 10 kids plus their parents. You have a private room to play with all of their toys but can also enjoy the entire play room. Lots of tables full of trains and cars, doll house, coloring, bounce house, ride on. You have live music or you may caught the owners singing karaokes. There's bubble machine and you get free lollipop on the way out. The place is a dream come true land for kiddos who love cars/trains, imagine play. We enjoyed here and came back again. You get punch cards too. It's a great value for indoor play. There s restaurant right outside and you can honestly be here all day. The owner are so nice and friendly, lots of sitting options for parents. Highly recommended.

We love visiting Choo Choo Bob's Train Store! The place is filled with trains and tables to have open play with your little one(s). They also host story time here, and the kids love it! The staff is super friendly and I think it's worth the money for an awesome and exploratory play date out of the house. Go check it out at the West End!

We loved this train store, especially the pay-to-play area! They have multiple rooms of train tables to play and build with tracks, cars, a dollhouse, and more! They also have a small coloring space and one of my kids' favorites, a small bounce house! My girls (4 years & almost 2) both played in the various rooms and had a blast! My little one LOVED the bubble machine by the entrance and my big one thought the employees singing karaoke was the best. The employees were such fun and happy people!Also, the fact that Choo Choo Bob's is located in the Union Depot is the icing on top! I highly recommend this as an affordable, go-to activity (especially in winter!) for kids!

Love love this awesome train shop and play area for kiddos and it's right inside Union Depot. You do have to pay for your kid to play with the kiddo model trains but it's so worth it. Lots of comfy areas for parents to sit and relax while their kiddo plays. We caught story time with Choo Choo Bob (actually it was Engineer Andy) but our kiddo loved it and it was very entertaining for our little engineer in training. We had visited their temporary spot in Minneapolis 2 years ago and this is the perfect spot for Choo Choo Bobs! Congrats!!!

Cannot recommend Choo Choo Bob's enough. We celebrated my son's birthday there today and we're so impressed. The space was all decorated and they took care of set up, ordering pizza,gift bags, etc. The price was great compared to other venues and came with built in decor and ambiance. The kids had so much fun. We'll be back this winter to come play.

Great place to take kids. It is nice that the new location is inside Union Depot (an actual train station). I will forever miss the old location in Merriam Park and that set up, but this is still worth a visit. New owners and a different setup than the original (now it is pay to play and has been with the new owners, which makes sense as the original owner had the store as a passion project in addition to his regular job working in TV/film).The setup is unique in the store with a small section by the register as you walk straight in, and the pay to play area if you take a left before that. There is little nooks and crannies in the back with party areas and a small inflatable bounce house. $10 for kids to play if I remember right and a smaller fee for adults. Fun place and worth it. Not the same magical place I took my kids to and had a few birthday parties at, but that is ok. My kids are a bit older now, so I don't think we will pay to play much these days, but love this as an option for people with younger kids and a place for us to stop in and shop

Choo Choo Bob's is the place to be if you are a kid (or parent of a kid) who loves trains!They have a place space for kids (geared towards ages 1-6) for $5/kid that includes lots of train tables, Hotwheels cars and tracks, etc... My 2 year old was entertained for over 2 hours and didn't want to leave.They also have story time at approximately 10:30am, but I'm not sure if that is daily or on the weekends only.There is a retail portion to the store with trains and toys for sale, and they have cheap soda, snacks, and water for sale too. They also have a birthday party room in the back.The staff could not have been more kind or enthusiastic - they really seemed to be enjoying their jobs!We will be back soon!

Our family loves Choo Choo Bob's! Play to pay currently is $10/kid, $2/adult and under 1 is free. It's worth it! This is a great place to meet up with friends and have some fun! Lots of train tables, a hot wheel section, doll houses and a coloring table. Their retail section is also great with good selection and fair prices. Staff is wonderful and they have a 10:30 story time/music time that is very interactive!

Choo Choo Bob and his crew are absolutely fabulous! I booked their party room for my 3 year olds birthday and I didn't have to do a thing! They had the whole room set up, BEFORE we even got there. This is a train store but they have SOOO many trains and other vehicles for the kids to play with. Plus tables scattered all over. The best part, they have chairs, and lots of them, for the parents. You could literally spend hours here and your kids will be content, if they're into trains of course. The staff are amazing, and nice and such down to earth people. His bday was on a Sunday afternoon and they even had karaoke for customers to participate in. This was probably the best kids birthday I've thrown. They welcome outside food and drinks (wink wink). but this is a kid/family friendly establishment. I think in general it costs a few dollars to play, but totally worth it for the whole family. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! If you haven't been, please go!

We hosted a birthday party at Choo Choo Bob's for my son's 2nd birthday and it was so effortless from start to finish. Jen, the owner, was laid back and reassuring from the moment I booked. The price was reasonable for the party and included place settings, decorations, goody bags, and the use of the party room as well as run of the store space (shared with customers but not busy at all). The party room looked so cute and was all set up when we arrived. All the kids had a great time (ranging in ages from 1-8) as there was SO much to do!!! Train tables (tons!), hot wheels corner, doll houses, coloring station, wall of magnetic gears, etc. I had never been before and was honestly blown away by all the corners of activity and fun for kids with all interests. Everyone had wonderful things to say and the staff were friendly, responsive and great with kids. Seriously this place knocked it out of the park. Worth every penny.
