Took my sons jacket there to be fixed. We ended up replacing his whole zipper when it came apart. Good price $40 and quality was top notch.

Came to Cheung's to have my dress tailored and couldn't be happier! Not only did they expedite my order but the service I received was impeccable. From the moment I entered their quaint shop to the moment I walked out the door with my perfectly fitted dress Helen and her husband treated me like a queen! Helen is an expert in alterations but it's her friendly personality and infectiously positive energy that will make your experience here amazing. If you have a suit, pair of pants, dress, jeans, shirt, dress shirt, blouse, skirt, or anything with threads - come to Cheung's and leave with a smile on your face and some perfectly fitted threads!

I have had two bridesmaid dresses altered here and had a great experience both times!The quality of work here is perfect! My dresses were both done before the expected date which was also super awesome!The staff here are so nice and helpful. They explain everything regarding any alteration you may be getting, and make sure that their work is accurate before proceeding further. If you have any questions regarding an alteration you are getting done, they are very knowledgeable and always give you other options based on your alteration needs.I will definitely go here for future alterations. Their prices are reasonable and their customer service is fantastic! Just a note though, it's cash or check for payment, and if you are going to pay with a check, make sure you have two forms of ID!

Found this nearby gem through the "Request A Quote" feature on Yelp, looking to get my chiffon bridesmaid's dress hemmed. Like 6". Because I'm short AF. The "Request a Quote" tool is super convenient to send the same details to several businesses at once. I swear I'm not just biased!Anywho, Stephen responded promptly with lots of enthusiasm and info! Sold. I was able to schedule an appointment the very next day through our Yelp messages. When I got there, he showed me their portfolio, explaining all of the services that they offer. Which is a lot! So much that I had to cut the poor guy off haha. I was then fitted and pinned by another employee. Both of them were so sweet and conversational during the whole experience. It's a small local shop that values each and every person's business, I can tell.I lucked out, and my dress was ready a week earlier than expected! When I got there and tried it on, the dress gracefully barely swept the floor - perfect. It ended up being ~$65, which I believe is pretty on par when altering fragile material. Again, the service was so attentive and kind, that I'm a big fan now!

Cheung's tailor is the best tailor shop I have been too! The staff are very knowledgeable and super jolly. I came in to get my normal width tie turned into a skinny tie and it came out super clean. Very fast service and great pricing.

I initially chose this tailor due to the "good" reviews on Yelp and Facebook. Unfortunately, this has been an extremely stressful and horrible experience. During my initial consultation, they ensured that they were able to tailor my wedding dress to fit my body. It would take about a month to complete this alteration and I trusted that they would be able to keep their promise. One week before my wedding, I came to pick up my dress from them. It did not fit like how they said it would and how they had initially pinned on me. They told me that this is all they can do for me and told me to go find a new dress knowing that I only had one week left. They said that they have done all they can and it was not their fault but it was my dress' fault. They stated that the way my dress was designed made it impossible for them to alter it. I have asked the following but never received any answers to my questions. Why didn't you tell me if you knew you couldn't alter my dress? Why did you take my money if you knew it was impossible to alter my dress? Why did you wait one month to tell me? I am very disappointed and extremely upset. This is a very special and important dress. I believe they would understand as they may have worked with many brides before. I had to seek another tailor. My new tailor was able to fix what they have ruined and more. She charged me half of what they charged and will have my dress ready for me in less than a week and just in time for my wedding. No one from Cheung's Tailor reached out to me after I left the shop and they clearly knew I was devastated. The owners have rejected my request for a refund even though they were unable to fulfill their promise. As a business owner, they should have the courtesy to fully take responsibility for what they have done wrong. Please do not take advantage of others. This has been an awful experience and I wish that none of their customers will go through this nightmare. There is no need for the excuses or blaming everything on something else. It was definitely not the fault of my dress. A professional would have been able to find a better solution other than telling their customers to find a new dress.

I found this shop on yelp, from the reviews I thought it would be the perfect place to get a dress taken in before a wedding. I used the yelp "Request a Quote" feature and was impressed with the quick responses. Along the way, there were a few statements of how busy the tailor was due to wedding and prom season approaching, I repeatedly asked if the timeline was not feasible for them (about a week and a half), if so, not a problem I would appreciate the honesty and find someone else for this occasion. After a few back and forth emails, where it was impressed upon me the importance of having an appointment. They assured me they could make the alterations, gave me a quote, and made my appointment.I arrived about 10 minutes early, the tailors were busy with a customer and they seemed very surprised to hear about my appointment, although it had been confirmed. I was told they had taken a walk-in client and it would be a few minutes. The Walk-in customer began to complain that they had called earlier in the day and made a same-day appointment for 3 dresses to be altered, which no one in the shop seemed to recall.I changed into my dress and was fitted by Stephen, who was very nice and helpful. However, when the tailor came in she was very brisk and impatient, it was very apparent to me that I was not valued and rather an impediment to a larger order. The tailor looked me up and down, quoted me a price then told me she would try and I would just have to trust her expertise. She left the room and returned to the other client profusely apologizing to them about the interruption.I stayed, stunned, in the dressing room for a few minutes then left the shop declining to have my dress altered.Leaving the shop, I felt deeply disrespected and highly disappointed in the interaction. I came away with the impression that making an appointment was at best a moot point and at worst a waste of time for both parties. If your schedule is too busy or you cannot accommodate an alteration be honest. Don't create an environment where a customer is trusting you with their time, money, and belongings only to be treated like an inconvenience. I received a follow-up email from Stephen that again reiterated how busy the shop is due to wedding and prom season. It was intended as an apology but it just came off as an excuse. I can't say if your experience will be better, but mine was demeaning.

Turned my sail into a custom fitted shirt!For my cousin's wedding I needed to have a short sleeve button down. This style is quite hard to purchase if you have a larger neck (16.5) to a relatively slimmer body (33 waist), with that in mind my shirt fit my neck and the rest was like I was wearing drapery.Within minutes of entering I greeted and was ready to be fitted. The fitting was quick and simple, the whole process took less than 20 minutes.The turn around time can be worked out with the staff, which is all smiles BTW. Me being a model male procrastinator, my wedding was coming up so it was a rush order and they were able to accommodate on time with all my requirements met! I tried on the shirt and they were able to shorten and bring in the fit of the sleeves, slim down the chest down and the waist. Now my shirt fits as I intended it. I don't need to worry about purchasing perfectly fit shirts anymore as I can bring in this for adjustments!Final Word: Definitely coming back, pricing and friendly staff is a plus!PS. Ask the staff about future purchases to make adjustments easier!

It's about time I write a review for Cheung's Tailor! I have had many services done here, from dress hem shortening to suit jacket alteration to my husband's military uniform. They are very knowledgable and will help you set your expectations by letting you know what they can or cannot do. They also have a huge portfolio of work they've done if you are interested in that. The services I've received here have been professional and high-quality. This is my go-to for any alterations I need. They will take walk-ins but I highly recommend setting an appointment, especially during busy seasons (think prom season/wedding season/military ball). Also, they are cash only and will not perform any alterations until paid, so be sure you are prepared for that. Otherwise, there is a Wells Fargot ATM nearby.

They helped me with a last minute alteration and had it ready in two days!! Exceptional customer service with detailed information on different dress structure, how to adjust at home properly, and amazing care during my fittings. 10/10 recommend for all your needs.
