Chester’s Small Town Tavern & Eatery

We've been here a few times now and have tried a variety of menu items, tho haven't made it for brunch yet. Our first experience was a sat night in June & there was a live band playing outside & my Buffalo blue cheese cauliflower was amazing! Second time we sat at the bar & had a lovely chat with the bartender while we downed the hot honey bacon cheese curds. I also had a spicy Asian chicken bowl and hubby had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, both were fantastic.Most recently we stopped in on the first day of a new menu. It was moderately busy, but not crazy. The service was lacking, drinks and refills very slow & food took over 35 mins to arrive once ordered. Two of us got the French dip which had almost no meat or cheese on it. My sweet potato fries were tasty, but the sandwiches...Disappointing. One of our kids had the Caesar chicken wrap and the other had the meatloaf dinner, both were happy with their picks. We will continue to drive up to St. Francis to support Chester's. Their menu is not your typical bar menu, which we appreciate. Next up, breakfast!

Chester's was a very pleasant surprise in St. Francis. Having been to the previous restaurant in this space, they've definitely changed it into a bit more "bar vibe" but that's not a bad thing.They really knocked it out of the park with their food. The deviled eggs platter was solid, although not otherworldly. The hot honey bacon cheese curds were phenomenal and I'd highly recommend.For mains, the French Dip was one of the best I've had. It was super flavorful, nice and salty, with a perfect crisp to the bread (soft but crisp). Definite 5-star dish!Only slight downer were the drinks which were a bit underwhelming although it seems like they have a seasonal rotation so this could change on a future visit!Needless to say, the cheese curds and French dip were awesome and we will definitely be back!

Stopped in last night on a whim and was very happy we did. They have a smaller menu compared to others in the area but the choices were fantastic and the prices even better. We started with the honey bacon cheese curds (amazing!), hubby got the loaded brisket potato, and I got the Ramen with shrimp. We finished off sharing a slice of Blueberry pie. Loved them all and the gals working were a hoot as we were the last diners in the restaurant. We will definitely go back!

Here's a new place in Saint Francis. It seems to be very popular with a full parking lot every time we drive by. We went out for dinner on Friday evening. The whole place was almost full. We got the last two spots at the bar. My only complaint comes with the drinks. We were not offered a specialty drink menu and I heard excellent things about them. My husband ordered a beer. We ordered our food and asked another bartender if there was a special menu for the drinks we saw her making. She got us the menu and I ordered the S'mores. The broccoli cheddar bites were very good. I got a salad and my husband got a burrito. They were also good. I loved my drink and we'll be back so my husband can try one he saw. He said he would have ordered one instead of the beer if he saw the drink menu first. They have a wonderful hometown bar and grill feel. We'll definitely have to go during breakfast to try the breakfast menu and coffee. If you haven't already give them a try.

For a small town hole in the wall, Chester's is great! Really good bar food and my husband and I (we're older) order lesser known drinks and they knock them out of the park! Great, friendly wait staff. I highly recommend this place!!

Sandwich was over done and hashbrowns were greasy and undercooked. Server never came back to ask if everything was okay. Probably won't go back.
