I've been coming here for years and I mean more than 15 years. They have always kept the same recipe and taste. Never failed to my taste buds. The service is great and fast. The gals working there are always attentive and ready to help. The place always has been in a corner of the strip mall and it's a place that you can't miss. Always clean and up well kept. Just be prepare to wait because they alway have people ordering or waiting in line. I always call ahead to order for pick up and never fail to complete the service.

I've been going to this Chinese joint for years. They have a solid takeout business, you can eat there, but they only have 4 booths. The food is typical Chinese fare, they make it all. It's not spectacular, but overall good. The lunch specials are solid, all under $10. They have really tasty chicken wings as well, a popular spot to get them. The folks working behind the counter are kind and hard working, doing their best to get you your food fast and hot.

I admit, their food is good. But every time I actually go in there versus ordering for delivery, they charge me an extra $1-2.00 on everything. I'm starting to believe it's because of my appearance.

If you're craving some good Chinese food you can count on - come to Cheng's! They have a free parking lot, as they're located in a shopping complex. I believe they had to go through a complete or mega reconstruction after the civil unrest. It's great to see a small, locally owned business stay in the community and come back from that!I went for lunch during the week and it was pretty busy! There's a few tables for dine in but I chose to get takeout. I ordered the Sesame Chicken Lunch Special & House Special Egg Foo Young. It was a very reasonable price and seriously lasted me like 3 or 4 meals! The Sesame Chicken Lunch Special was so good! Perfect amount of crunch and flavor. The rice was a classic fried rice, yum! I also ordered the Egg Foo Young. Honestly I never had it before or knew what it was but I saw it on the menu under House Special and thought it'd be fun to try something new! It was like an egg patty with a yummy gravy and white rice. It was unlike anything I've had and I really really liked it! On my next trip to Cheng's I think I'm going to reorder it!

Twin Cities Eater committed malpractice when they rated this place highly. It's 1950s-style American Chinese, in the worst possible way. Our chow mein was inedible - droopy, overcooked little pieces of cabbage, tough little strips of pork, and lots of glop, all of it as bland as bland can be. The Singapore Mei Fun - which Eater singled out for praise - had an overpowering smell and taste of cheap, raw curry powder, with a few tiny morsels of shrimp etc. The beef with broccoli was the only thing that reached the normal standard of average, American Chinese fare - the beef was nice and tender and the broccoli was good and didn't taste like frozen. On top of that, it took TWO HOURS to get to us. No good.

Favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in Minneapolis! My family's been coming to this place since I was a kid, and I know for sure my parents have gotten the chicken wings with fried rice here since before I was born. That's still their favorite dish today. And Cheng's serving sizes???? PACKED. They do not skimp out on fried rice or white rice for their dishes. Swear one order of chicken wings with fried rice can feed 2-3 people. Came here on Christmas too and the staff were working as fast as they could to get the orders out. Love this place.

I am on my search for the best cheap Chinese in the Twin Cities, and Chang's Garden is next in the Iist.I got the General Tso's dinner combo ($8.25), extremely spicy. Unfortunately, it was not spicy at aII. Super quality white meat with MASSIVE portions. I was forced to use quite a bit of siracha and hot chili garlic sauce on it, but it was certainly enough food to stretch into two meals. Egg roII was huge and chicken fried rice was quite Legit. Overall, very SoIid food with outstanding bang for your buck. For the Iovers of spice, this is not your spot. However, for the Iovers of vaIue, this is definitely worth giving a try.

Some of the food is okay. Spring rolls are very greasy and don't have a lot of filling. Cold Sesame Noodles are okay, but you have to specify that you want them spicy, even though the menu indicates they're spicy. They're hot too, not cold. The breaded chicken used for things like Sweet 'n Sour, Orange Chicken, etc. is not good. It's over-cooked until tough. A real drag. Stick with stir-fried chicken dishes.

I was really looking forward to chow mein instead it was cabbage and chicken. Hardly any sauce, generally all other chow mein has had celery, carrots & maybe onion.... this is Cabbage and chicken & a really light watery sauce, if you can call it a sauce
