Cannon Golf Club

This course is in Cannon Falls, just 50 minutes south of the cities. It is routed along the Cannon river and has great views and some challenging holes. Play is fast and usually under 4 hours. This course is an absolute bargain at around $50. It's very well maintained and the rough is not too bad, even if you are off by 10 yards. The greens are perfect and run true.They have a full bar and restaurant. You can get hot dogs at the turn or a full lunch. All the staff here are terrific. It is totally worth the drive from the cities.

This is a nice golf course. I'm pretty sure it used to be private and has over the years become public. There's a nice variety of landscape and distance that make for a challenging round. It can get busy in the summer months so make a tee time in advance. Rather than doing it online and paying the Tee Master fee, just call and avoid the extra charge.

First time to this club and very happy with the experience. One thing before I continue. I stopped in as a single and asked if I could get out - alone or with whoever. An hour later, when I was about to ask for a refund, the fellow in the Pro Shop came to and remembered that I was waiting - after an hour of sparse play.Finally did hook up with a couple guys and had a wonderful time. Course has some damaged areas, but over all was in fine shape. Nice maintenance, good pace of play, reasonable price. Could have used a beverage cart on the course as it was about 85* and had a fair amount of players, but....35 minute drive south of St Paul on 52 is within range for a good round, on a quiet course outside the city. Will definitely return, but with a group and a confirmed tee time.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. 35+ years in the industry, this place should be completely restaffed. First of all, we ordered our beverages, Margherita was ok, 2nd round, awful. Wait staff was making drinks...no lead bartender. The supposed person in charge was busy setting up plastic banquet tables. Friday fish was soggy, blt was cold, we had 4 different wait people attending our table. Waited over an hour for our food. After speaking to the person in charge (who was chewing gum), the excuse was, after hearing this from several other staff members, "when we're a bit overwhelmed, it gets crazy". Ok, if I'm not mistaken, Friday fish fry, busy, expect it! Pathetic excuse of a restaurant ! If I could give it less than 1 star, I would

This is an excellent track, close to the cities with excellent greens. The course is quite challenging, with a different look to nearly every hole. Not the kind of course where every hole looks the same. Probably the most challenging group of par 3 holes anywhere in the state. If you can play these holes well you should play well. Also, the membership rates are very competitive for a course of this quality so close to the twin cities. I don't think there is course around that provides you with better value for your money.

Love this course! Good value, well maintained and pace of play is usually fast. Thus, if you're a slow boat to China DO NOT PLAY HERE! Range is grass and large enough to accommodate play. Practice green rolls just like the course will. Smaller greens that roll fast. Was a member here 25 years ago and continue to play it regularly. Kudos to the staff and maintenance crew.

There were four in our party when we attended the fish fry on Friday evening. We wereall very pleased with both the food and the service. We will be back and plan to bring thefamily. Thanks for a great evening!!

We have been there 2 times to eat dinner with other couples. It has been bad both times. We went Friday the 1/18/19 for the Friday Fish fry. We got at 6:00 and it was NOT busy. We all ordered the Fish fry. some ordered the extra cost salad and baked fish. I ordered tater tots and another ordered french fries. We sat there talking and waiting around 45min for food. The meals came out and they ALL had baked potato and fried fish. no one got any salads. We said forget the salads you are supposed to get them before the meal. The person that ordered the Fries gave up and kept the baked potato. I still wanted the tater tots when they later showed, they were BAD (COLD and OLD). We ordered extra fish and waited it never showed. We when we again the server bought out the fish and placed them on the plate with bare hands. It was bad the 1st time we ate there and worse the 2nd time. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN.
