"This is a newly opened "Treasure Chest" that is a non-profit thrift store that supports their local community. It has a large setup, lots of friendly staff members, and half off everything sale on everything while we were there! You need a bit of time to make your way through the store, but definitely worth the time and look through. We came as a big group of various ages going on (two carloads of people actually). We had a ton of fun and laughed a lot as well while we found crazy things from styles long gone by! But no worries, you'll easily find some great almost new items that you can use now as well! We scored these super cute like new pair of snoopy new balance running shoes for our little guy! I have never seen a pair like them and LOVE them!!! Who doesn't like Peanuts characters?! Overall, great place to shop and though they can be a little high on some of their pricing, the half off everything made it a great deal!"
"Donated some furniture here after Goodwill refused to take it, for whatever reason? The store is clean, well organized, lots of good finds. Staff is very friendly. Hint - I saw a couple looking to buy a large piece of furniture and it was getting late. The store associate offered them a 15% discount if they were to buy and take home that same day."
"I stopped in here on Monday because they are closed on Sundays. The thrift store is very clean and almost like a boutique. No musty smells. Valentine items were 50% off and I found a few items. There weren't a lot of clothes. The books were economically priced at 50 cents. There was also kitchen items and misc. The store supports the Wacosa program which helps people with disabilities with employment so it's a win win."
"This is the best place for anyone and to find anything from snowmobile gear to hunting gear and all sorts of good stuff for u to buy a a cheap price new and users stuff I go there a lot and the works are super nice and helpful and will always great you with a smile I just recommend going here to find tools and video games toys sports stuff snowmobile s and vehicle parts"
"At least 11 out of my dad's 12 blenders have come from this thrift store. It's a place that just seems to encourage you to buy another one of XYZ. And maybe another. But this one is so nice, maybe I'll get another one. You won't find much in the way of clothing or trend items here--but you will find some funky retro pieces (that I SWEAR will look good in your living room in another 10 years as everyone oohs and ahhs and wonders where you picked up that genuine gold-trimmed 1970's floral-and-paisley couch). This is definitely one of the least predictable thrifting spots. One day, you're buying a solid oak armoire (in our bedroom thankyouverymuch) and the next day it's all blenders all the time. But it's worth a look. Tip: Beware the very limited hours. Closed Sundays."
"Wow! What an AMAZING, MARVELOUS Thrift store! So many items in good condition with awesome prices that can't be beat! On my FIRST visit last Sunday, I got the cutest coffee cups with brass handles for $1 each and a nice coffee table for $2! Amazing store that's only open three days a week Saturday, Sunday (all day) and Monday evening. Check their website for accurate times...My new favorite thrift store! Yippeee!"
"I think we found a new place to donate all of our unwanted goods to. Pricing is how a thrift store should be and used to be. I have only found one other place with very reasonable pricing and that was in Sheboygan, WI.It reminded me of something I would see in a small town with a name like "The Bees Bonnet" or something wholesome like that. Very home is where the heart is kind of place.I didn't expect to find anything. I sometimes wait in the car while J goes into scope out the inventory, but I went in. Glad I did. I finally found an angel food pan for !.00 and it was clean. Rarely do I even bake, but I've had a hankering for Angel food cake, but didn't have a pan. They have:-Clothes-Toys-Baby stuff-Odds and ends- Etc.-Old stuff (nostalgia)-Dishes-CookwareNo purchases on a credit card under $10. Lucky we were able to rustle up some change. They were open later today- they usually close at 4They have furniture down the way and old stuff. Toys, movies etc.Proceeds go to the New Day Pregnancy Center as indicated on their leaflet. We will donate here in the future."
"In terms of surplus stores Ax-Man is about as good as they come. Everytime we are in the Twin Cities we make a point to stop here just to take it all in and see what kind of oddities and treasures we may find to take home with us. Some key takeaways: 1. Street parking only, but that's never been an issue for us2. The staff here is very kind and helpful3. No public restrooms so if you're travelling with a child plan accordingly 4. Plan a good 30 minutes minimum to take it all in. If you know what you want this might go faster, but if you come here to just enjoy it and see what surprises you may find, you'll want a little chunk of time to explore. Overall it's hard to describe - I think of it like Archie Mcfee in the PNW mixed with a local hardware store. It's a gem of a find and I hope it never changes."
"If you have the patience to dig through bins and bins and bins of stuff, and you love a great deal, this place is for you!!!! You pay by the weight which makes it such an awesome deal! People get crazy intense with gloves and are sure to fight you for that cute top or jacket. They are constantly rotating out the bins and refilling them throughout the day. You could seriously go when they open as stay until they close. I found some Nike capris in awesome shape and a cute gymshark sweater. Just keep digging and eventually you will find buried treasure. If you aren't planning on going hog wild and buying the entire store, bring a bag. It is way easier to maneuver in the crowds with a bag than a shopping cart. Be warned, if you leave your cart unattended, someone may acquire something in it. It's definitely a great way to spend a day off. If you have never been, you have to try it at least once. Also, this location is way better than the downtown location. They have better stuff and the people are friendlier!"
"I lose track of time so easily at Junket. So many cool things to peruse. You never know what you're going to find. My favorites are the old books downstairs and, though I haven't been able to find them for a while, they used to have a huge bin full of old name patches. So many treasures in one small building. Of all the vintage shops on the Minnehaha Mile, this is my favorite."
"Restore: to put or bring back into existence or use: renew.Run by the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity these stores offer a place to donate gently used items that other recyclers don't handle: Furniture, windows, doors, lighting, tools, cabinets, etc. They resale it in their retail stores. You can never tell what will be offered for sale in the stores, so plan to pursue for a few minutes when you visit."
"I killed some time here before yelpie awards as I wasn't too far away. Looked for vintage Christmas stuff. Saw a ceramic Christmas tree but it was missing the base for $50. I did find a cast iron santa bear cookie mold pan for $4.99. The prices seemed a little high and many items were junky. This store was a former Red Owl in its past. Probably one and done for me. No need to make a special trip."

What a dumpy thrift store! This is the thrift store that gets crappy donations. I searched high and low and found 2 things to buy. A vintage cracked mn twin mug for 59 cents and a black North Face fall coat for $8 something. I washed it as soon as I got home. They have sales and all but mostly garage sale cast offs and junk. You've been warned.

I go over to CHAP regularly. It is the only thrift store where (a) the prices and discounts are awesome, (2) I always find a treasure that is exactly what I'm looking for - even if I'm not looking for it, (3) has great prices for kids clothes, and (4) I don't feel like I need to take a shower when I go home. The workers there are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I love wandering through by myself or with some friends. I rarely leave there empty handed!

Very VERY pleased with the prices and choices of this particular Thrift Store! I am one who loves a great bargain, and you will find them aplenty here for sure! There are SO many treasures to be found, so give yourself ample time to shop to your hearts content! Great music for 99 cents, affordable DVD's galore, a beautiful blanket for 1.99?! What?!, a super fun board game for 1.99 that we thoroughly enjoyed that night and following nights due to the popularity with the kids, and six books for a dollar the day we came?! They have specials of the day/week on particular items as well as half off color of the week! What could be better then that?! SO great! You can tell at times that there are different people pricing items since it's a hit or miss on low prices (1.99 a towel and then finding 1.99 as well for a wash cloth was a bit confusing)...but overall you will find lower prices more often then not...so fear not to all you budget shopping yelpers out there! For there are some AMAZINGLY awesome deals to be found here (not to be surpassed by most other local thrift stores)! This is one of my favorites thrift stores to hit in the Saint Cloud area! I left a VERY happy deal hunter :). Not only that it is a non-profit to help those with disabilities of various kinds...doesn't that alone make you want to invest in this company that is investing in the lives of others daily?!

I used to frequent pawn shops looking for a deal. That is, until I stopped in here. Pawn shops cannot complete with the deals that you can find in here. I have bought tools, yard equipment, stereo components, musical instruments, household items, camping gear...and the list goes on. There is always fresh inventory so every time I stop in I'm ready for a surprise. This is the place to be.

This place is a great little thrift store...but shhhh...don't tell anyone about it...I want to keep it a secret little hidden gem just for myself.. ;)They have a great selection of furniture and other misc household wares & I was amazed at how reasonable everything was priced! I did definitely get a "grandma's house" vibe from their merchandise, but I'm not sayin' that's a bad thing...I'm just sayin'...I have only been here once & it was right at the cusp of closing time (their hours are not ideal - but heck - it's staffed by volunteers - so I guess I shouldn't complain). I didn't have as much time to shop as I would have liked, but we still managed to leave with a few new treasures!

This place is overwhelming! They are full to the brim with cheap antiques and oddities. A staff member told me they clean out 10 houses a week and stock is constantly changing. They're open Saturday to Monday. I would suggest going on a Monday to hopefully beat the crowds. It's pretty chaotic and I often times found myself "stuck" in an aisle because people would come snooping on all sides. Now that I think of it, it actually reminds me of the room of requirement in Hogwarts. And I did find some cook ware that I needed...Anyway, prices are insanely low (priced to sell!) and I did hear people haggling and getting them even lower. I would go again if I was looking for special items, great for gifts and hard to find things!

I was in the area and needed to kill an hour of time while clients were at lunch. There is a 1/2 price room and I found an eagle stuffed animal for 25 cents and a Frank Sinatra used CD for 50 cents. Like others stated the selection isn't the best and a bunch of garage sale rejects. There is another part to this store 2 doors down. I found some bone spur heel things to put in shoes for my mom for $2.00. The pricing was relatively cheap and it looks like it's run by volunteers and supports Christian organizations and missions. My dog liked the eagle. Enjoy the photo.

Yeah, this is basically my new favorite store. It reminds me of American Science and Surplus in Milwaukee but with more fun novelty stuff. My hands quickly became full with all of the awesome stuff I wanted, no, NEEDED. Just then a friendly worker offered to bring me a basket!Staff were friendly and fair when I asked for a discount on the chipped gold bar I was buying for my nephew. He's really happy with it. And rich.I walked away a happy camper with some weird fake tattoos, a Miss Cleo tarot deck, a Survival Handbook, glow-in-the-dark star stickers for my ceiling, and a zipper pouch in the shape of a ghetto blaster. NEEDED.Dan also found lots of good containers of various sizes for storing little things like game pieces.

"I spotted this place a few weeks ago when leaving Lloyd's across the street. My friend and I popped in today.... for cute!! They have so much stuff... great stuff!! It's not all crushed in, it's all very well spaced out so you can see everything and still move around!! A great diverse selection; vintage wares, records, all sorts of clothes and shoes! They even had a well sized Bargain Room!! Things in there were 50% off orange tags and $0.99 pink tags!! I will definitely be back!! They even have parking in a lot behind the store! Thanks Fliying Pig for being a great new shop to stop in every so often to see what fun things you have!!"
"Great amount of items and well priced! This is a very large location and plenty of different items to choose from. I highly recommend trying this place if you enjoy shopping at goodwill"
"I found a great dresser with a mirror and an old toolbox here, awesome finds at great prices. Definitely check out if you are in the area."
"I really liked this place when I stopped! They were on the vintage fall crawl so I visited a few times to get my stamp and them when I won I visited again to purchase a vintage looking one piece swimsuit. They have really unique stuff, mostly modern and prices are very affordable. It's a small pace and it can get busy! Fun accessories, so much to look at! Staff could be a little more friendly but nothing to deter me from visiting again if I'm in the area."
"Update: The business owner messaged me and apologized for the confusion on the volunteer's part and will sell me the tablecloth for $1.00 rightfully so. It is a good thing the business owner reads yelp reviews and responds. You do not want to upset a good customer."
"This thrift store made a weekend visit in late 2019 more special. Not familiar with thrifting, I was eager to show my partner the ropes and the joy of thrift store shopping. It just so happens that on the day we visited, the store had a small setup of free hot apple cider and little sandwich cookies available for shoppers. This gave us a special glimpse of Minnesota hospitality and set things off on a great foot on a very chilly day!We looked through Christmas decorations and old games and I was thankful to find an excellent prank hallmark ornament for my sister and a nostalgic hallmark ornament for myself--a little mouse atop a spool of thread, sewing popcorn kernels for a Christmas garland. We looked at a variety of scarves and coats and then found a cute, new/barely-used, button-up shirt with little mustaches for my partner. All of this--delicious hot cider, Christmas and childhood nostalgia, easily transported "souvenirs" from our visit to Minnesota, and a crisp new shirt for my partner--all for less than $10 made for a pretty great first-time thrifting experience and a memorable stop on the trip for me!"
"I stopped by the shop to sell clothing that I no longer fit because I've lost a lot of weight. The owner and one employee were in store when I arrived. I'd made contact on facebook with some questions, so I was already accustomed to great customer service. I'd never sold clothes before, so I did research on their site so that I'd get it right. The FAQ about the shop and what to expect from selling clothes is spot on and very informative. I perused some of the items available as I waited for my items to be reviewed. There is some really killer stuff here! It was a very good vibe of body positivity that seems so rare in shops that cater to those who wear larger sizes. I have to admit that it was the first time that I'd felt a little uncomfortable. It wasn't the people in the store who made it so. I'd never really thought that much about how much of a negative atmosphere there is around plus-size fashion. I'd been so immersed in it that I didn't notice know that being in a place that's the complete opposite could feel so good.I recommend anyone, and everyone, who wears plus sizes to shop here. The people are like the clothes: Fantastic and one of a kind. Total gems."
"Amazing shop and crew vintage everything tons of Star Wars and vintage ninja turtles. Also, also a great stop for Pokémon cards."
"I can usually find some gems but dealing with the crowd and pushy people can be rough - however it's worth it if you find stuff you can resell and make a decent profit on. I once found a 100% long cashmere coat"
"A frequent stop for me as this little gem carries so many odds and ends from tables, chairs, ornaments, kitchen items, pet items, mittens, apparel and more. The owner, Cheyenne, is a lovely human being and keeps her shop filled with various treasures and is quite the homemaker refurbishing furniture and painting many items that will go up for sale. The value is unmatched - everything is reasonably priced. Make sure you stop by multiple times as the inventory tends to change with the seasons. Enjoy!"
"Love this place. Doing good for the community in a very cool way. I just got a beautiful affordable Mid Century Modern Dresser from them- I just LOVE it. They were very responsive to my questions and communications online. 100% recommended for donating and purchasing for a good cause:)"
"I came here by accident. I originally went to a different thrift store but it was closed so I looked up the closest one to it. My goodness what a hidden GEM! This is exactly the type of place I think of when I want to go thrifting. There is stuff in every nook and cranny and I probably made about 4-5 rounds throughout the whole place. The owner was very kind and had a beautiful cat that followed me around for a bit lol I spent $78 and got SO many treasures! If it were closer, I would go every week. I will be back here for sure. May Jesus bless this place and the owner for being so helpful. If you love to thrift, Stop here and you won't regret it!"
"I visited Buffalo Exchange this previous weekend with a couple friends after another friend recommend it, having got much of her wardrobe from there. Upon walking in, we felt welcomed by the front desk employee and were already in awe of their amazing wardrobe and style! The three of us searched through the many racks, each item in great condition and fairly priced. We all found at least one item we knew our wardrobe needed. We didn't have to wait even a moment at the dressing rooms, there was someone staffing it the entire time, so very kind and helpful! There was an instance where an individual entered with maybe some mental illness or substance use, and the staff handled it wonderfully - ensuring the individual was not forced outside in the cold and handled it professionally (did not see details as a customer but only good interactions and the individual being pleased/responsive and treated very humanly). Just another reason to come back here . I found a couple great items and am already planning to return. I also really liked the bag/ 5 cent token that you can choose a non-profit/cause for. Highly recommend!!!"
"Lots of goodies for everyone!!! I love these stores- someone's junk is another persons treasure! Affordable and wide variety."
"Really cool store that my husband of course found. I never find anything that cool. He ran across this place searching for yet another old something or other. I had the day off and we decided to venture out looking for some Christmas gifts. Really cute place. Old and nostalgic and they carry a lot of things. There are about 18 different vendors. If you want Vinyl, this is the place to go. I am not a vinyl person, but our friend is and this trip out here was to him. Found some great albums and took a stroll down memory lane with a lot of the old items on display. The two women working there are lovely and so helpful. There is an entire room full of vinyl. I think it's called the fault and then there are also records through out.Great store and a great find!! Be sure to stop in."
"This is such a great hidden gem. The store buys return pallets from major companies and discounts the items steeply! The inventory changes daily. I highly recommend trying this place out."
"So, essentially like a Goodwill for building items/furniture/flooring that are donated items and resold. Saving our environment is important but a few items here were a little spendy while others were not. Be sure to allow time to wander around the ReStore since you never know what you will find."
"I really like Trove - it's worth the time to find them if you're near Stillwater.I didn't think I'd like Trove. I usually dislike - or even hate - "vintage" shops that are crammed with vintage thrift store type items, garage sale crap, up-cycled junk, and poorly made amateurish crafts. But Trove really won me over.First of all, the space is huge and spacious. It's essentially 2 huge warehouse type rooms in the back with a giant entry area in front and a smallish secondary room near the windows. Then you enter the 2 big spaces. Trove is basically a "mall" with multiple vendors. Everyone has a completely different specialty.Second, everything is laid out nicely. All of the sellers are organized and the displays are all beautiful and well thought out. I didn't find one single vendor that was a slacker or below par. Obviously, there are some high standards here. There's a lot of extra space too so you don't have the usual feeling like everything's crammed together. There's plenty of elbow room and space to wander.Third, the items are nice, plentiful, and they represent an astounding variety of items. For example, there's a seller that has hundreds of Hot Wheels in the boxes. There's another that has some super interesting hand-made artistic wood items - high end, nice, beautiful. I found another area that has some killer steam punk industrial type pieces. I also found a vintage mid-century area with awesome, high end, rare items like Moss Lamps from the 1950s. If you haven't seen them before, you have to check them out. They're the epitome of over-the-top 50s kitsch. They aren't cheap. On the other hand, I dare you to try to find another one anywhere else in the Twin Cities.Fourth, the staff members are all very pleasant. I found them all to be friendly, informative, cheery, and responsive without being overbearing. Nice.Trove is a little tricky to find but worth the trip. Check out my photos. If you like these types of items, you should stop by.Thanks, Trove!-Daddy Maxx Retro"
"I love the randomness of this place, you can get Halloween costumes, scrapbooking supplies, lots of containers, mailing items and lots of what I call man things, electronic devices and things I don't understand. As always, I love the signs that explain how to use things that are a little bit of a mystery. Always a bit cheeky. They were running a promotion where you spend over $25 you get a five dollar coupon to use in the next two months. Now I will have to go back!"
"The place was clean easy parking. There was a police car outside which reminded me of Walmart. And inside many options I like the painting frames for sale. They sell some jewelry also. It was relatively busy for Saturday morning.Easy access busy area many stores and fast food and coffee shops."
