"I had a lovely dining experience at CōV Edina on a Sunday for brunch. We were seated quickly & had great service. They have the restaurant decorated for the holidays which was fun & festive. We ordered the Brisket Hash and the Lobster Tartine. The food was so flavorful & very filling. Highly recommend both of these dishes along with a crisp glass of one of their Sauvignon Blancs."

"Celebrated my dad's birthday here along with a wedding going on and many other people- it was a very busy night for the restaurant. Smaller roof top patio and an oddly placed bathroom.Service was excellentAtmosphere very loud, but expected given how busy they were. Food was excellent. Ordered the oriental chicken salad which was delicious and hearty for a salad.Onion rings- were gigantic and battered which are the best. I don't like the non beer battered crunchy type. These were great.Other people ordered shrimp, pasta, steaks all said to be very good. Nice little gem of a place in White Bear Lake."

"Very pleasantly surprised. Went for a friends birthday dinner and the owner was so great - she took pictures for us and helped serve a birthday cake for him herself. Our chef was probably the highlight. He was funny and interactive, which is a big part of the experience. The food was good too - typical hibachi. Drinks were delicious though! Some higher priced than others but the raspberry pina colada was delicious - some ice chunks though made it a little hard to drink. Overall, for Rochester, not a bad place and I'll probably come back."

"Went here for a nice dinner with my son after visiting him at UW- Stout this weekend. Wanted something other than bar food or fast food! Starting with our initial impression: beautiful view from the deck - can't wait to come back when it's warm again! Would recommend reservations if coming on a weekend- will have to wait for a table, but there is a bar. Speaking of which, cant ever go wrong with a real Wisconsin Old Fashioned. The drink menu lists a Jameson orange old fashioned -- I tried it on the advice of our server, and while it was ok, doesn't compare to the real thing. The menu is expansive and reasonable prices. The prime rib was melt in your mouth tender... the salad was good, too-- cold and crisp. My som had the garlic alfredo pasta and loved it, too.The only reasons I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the wait time to get our bill... nearly 30 min, though the waiter was swamped."

"I came here with my family of 5 and a friend's family of 7 for lunch at noon on a Wednesday. The hostess asked if we had a reservation, we did not, but it only took her a couple minutes to place us in the back booth - two tables, one large booth. The service we had was very good!All the kids got kids meals, and I was surprised by how large they were. The adult portions were a good size also. The food was good, but not amazing. I appreciated that you could get sweet potato fries with a sandwich order, and it wasn't an upcharge. I would come back here for their ability to deal with a large party and their great service."

I've had it twice. Great relish trays. The chicken and ribs that my buddies got- got 10-10 reviews. They both said they were f-ing awesome. Brussel sprouts were great. Bacon dates were amazing too. Great service. Great history."

I got a chicken tempura roll, the hara maki, and the hibachi chicken which came with the miso soup and the salad. I love this place and would 10/10 come again."

"I used to be a regular 40 years ago or so when this was an actual mini-chain in the twin cities. One could get a complete steak dinner for $5 or less in those days. This particular location operates in the same manner, order your steak at the counter, get handed a pre-made salad and portion control dressing, order a drink, take your table, and rather quickly, out comes your steak, potato, and texas toast.Flavor was great, they offer a variety of "cuts", ranging in price from $15-$20 or so. In retrospect, I should have ordered fish. I'd go back, it's a good value, but kind of in a sketchy section of University in St Paul."

I think I had high expectations for the birra taco so, it wasn't as good as I thought. There was not much flavor. The burger was good. I feel like you can never go wrong with a burger. There is plenty of parking and is right across the mall so, I stopped and did some shopping. The waiter was nice but the service was a bit slow. Overall, everything was good but don't think I would be back for a while."

I wasn't a huge fan of the salmon salad (it was really smoky and I thought it was going to be cooked salmon but that's totally my fault hehe) They cooked our medium filet perfectly! Our friends ordered medium rare and that was also done very nicely. The French onion soup might have been my favorite thing! Will definitely be back next time I'm at Mystic."

"Loved the atmosphere in this pub. The business name has the word "pub" in it, but this place is really more of an upscale steakhouse. Don't be fooled by the small "storefront", this restaurant is actually pretty large. Lots of spectate rooms all with great woodwork features... like an old time saloon. Has a well stocked bar, but no TV's. (Not a bad thing!) Many whiskey's to choose from (among other spirits). Food was good. Rib eye steak had great flavor. Highly recommend adding mushrooms to anything you can, they were that good! You get a ton of them... so if you love shrooms, this is for you. Also had the French Onion Soup. Had a little spice to it. Couldn't put my finger on the flavor, but if a had to guess, I'd say red chili flake? The spice wasn't over powering by any means, but I would have liked the soup more without it. (But I'm not a spice guy... at all!) Downtown street parking was a little challenging, but eventually found a place not too far from the entrance. New favorite place in Eau Claire!"

"I was feeling adventurous, so I went to Don Julios instead of my old standby, Dickeys BBQ. Everyone is so polite and attentive at Don Julios. I was quickly seated. They came by for my order before I figured out the menu. I'm assuming they have a solid regular crowd of locals. I base this partially on that the specials board just gave the number, but no description of some of the items.I ordered the fajitas de mar. It's just under $20 which might sound a little high for a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall, but wow it was good and a lot of food. Unless you are a big eater, you could split it with someone else. I didn't finish my guac salad or chips and salsa, but I still was overly full when I left. I need to learn to stop eating earlier than that. I had even burned off 600 calories on the bike that afternoon, I still didn't have room for all that food.Funny thing that happened was the assistant brought out all of the food except the seafood but still announced the dish. I was a little confused and poking around my salad to see if the seafood was in there. He came back a couple of minutes later with the seafood.I never got around to dessert, so maybe a future review."

When we pulled up to the building I was not very confident because the outside appearance is not very nice for a steak house, looked more like a dive bar. We got inside and things improved greatly. It is still a bar, but in the dining area the tables all had nice cloths and it looked much nicer. We ordered drinks and they were very good. We each had the sirloin steak with au gratin potatoes, very tasty and done rare just as we ordered. For me the best part was the Brussels sprouts that came with the meal. They were sliced thin and sautéed and were probably the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had. It was more affordable than other steak houses as well, which is very nice!"

For the first round, we ordered the old fashioned and a White Russian. Both were delicious. For the second round , I described my preference to the bartender and asked him to suprise me! He got really excited and made me a "Paper Plane by the Rufete". It was incredible and came with a little paper plane that one of the waitresses makes by hand. The felt pretty special.
