"Come here for happy hour Baldamar. I usually love their happy hour but this time, I felt like it wasn't as good. Maybe, because I wasn't that hungry, but I ordered the short rib birria tacos and a single patty burger with bacon. I think I had high expectations for the birra taco so, it wasn't as good as I thought. There was not much flavor. The burger was good. I feel like you can never go wrong with a burger. There is plenty of parking and is right across the mall so, I stopped and did some shopping. The waiter was nice but the service was a bit slow. Overall, everything was good but don't think I would be back for a while."
"Went to Murray's for my birthday dinner. Had reservations and we were seated immediately. The service here is a step above top notch. Entering from the street, the bar is on the right and the main dining room is forward.Started the night with a nice Spanish red. They have an extensive wine menu and craft cocktails as well. First to was the crab and corn chowder. It was great. Second up was the lobster appetizer, which was an Australian lobster tail in a butter and lemon sauce. Unfortunately this was over cooked. For the price, it definitely was not worth.Main couse was a porterhouse andpotatoes in a cheddar sauce. The porterhouse was perfectly cooked and really delicious. The potatoes were okay, but a little under seasoned. Still the meal was pretty good. For dessert there was a molten fugde cake topped with ice cream. That was also good. All in all a great meal, but definitely would only come here for special occasions, as the bill was quite hefty."

"Sat at the bar. Got the onion rings appetizer and an OF. The old fashion was a little sweet for my liking. We didn't have dinner but based on the looks of the food all around us everything looked amazing. Some of the best onion rings I've ever had. Bar was lowkey and we walked right in and sat down during peek dinner hours. Will definitely be back for the onion rings and hopefully dinner"
"I had never been there before. Thought it would be kind of an upscale old-school steakhouse. It definitely was old-school and does have a great St. Paul, down home vibe, but not upscale - my bad, I guess. The salad was some lettuce thrown on a plate. The steak was cooked properly, but a little dried out. The service was hurried. Also, too loud to have a decent conversation with anyone in my party.Cool place - You have to go there at least once :)"
"Rebecca was an amazing server. Excellent! I was here with a group of friends and everyone was amazed by her.We all ordered different entrees and everyone loved their choice.I started with the Mushroom Soup. Most mushroom soup is more watery and diluted by the addition of too much cream. This soup was an ugly brown color but was mostly mushrooms and tasted wonderful. It had tiny bits of apple on top and that went surprisingly well. My entree was the Scallops with a sweet corn risotto. Really fresh tasting and nice.Wine bottles are half priced on Tuesdays."
"A true survivor, Jax has proved itself to be the best year over year. Five of us were here for a birthday dinner on a Thursday evening and it was absolutely delightful. It's business casual dress for the most part but the decor is old school elegant. If you make reservations early (suggested) they will print their characteristic matchbooks for the table, which provide a lasting memento of the occasion. Plenty of space between tables, ambient lighting, warm and quiet enough to carry on a conversation with your party while sharing the convivial atmosphere with other restaurant guests. Our wait person was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly -- without being overly familiar or chatty. I see that some previous reviewers had mixed opinions about the quality of their food, but our experience was quite the opposite. There were five of us and our menu selections ranged from seafood to beef, with vegetable sides and salad. All of it was perfectly prepared and the cooked entrees arrived simultaneously at our table while still hot from the kitchen. In particular, a couple of us enjoyed the filet mignon broiled to the exact medium rare. Mashed potatoes, which are ho-hum in most restaurants were elevated to a creamy richness here. Oven roasted asparagus complimented with a savory bearnaise is my choice for a side. Lastly, unlike some downtown venues, their Northeast location allows for ample parking in a flat lot directly across the street. No charge."
"We could not have found a more perfect restaurant! Long time friend flew into MSP and checked into a Roseville hotel, so we looked for convenience as well as a location where conversation would not be drowned out. Our server, Cole, was spot on. There when we needed, but never hovering. So check off great service and equally great ambiance. The food selection didn't disappoint either. Calamari and a wonderfully seasoned fried shrimp were perfect starters with the wine. A bite of focaccia and then our entrees were served. Ooooo the Walleye was superbly presented with asparagus and the Chicken Marsala was in a heavenly sauce. Pricey for us retired folks, but every bite was worth the tab. Summation: Fine Dining"
"Stopped by the rooftop of the Lexington for cocktails with the girlfriend on a beautiful Friday night. The ambiance was great! It feels really open yet private. For the first round, we ordered the old fashioned and a White Russian. Both were delicious. For the second round , I described my preference to the bartender and asked him to suprise me! He got really excited and made me a "Paper Plane by the Rufete". It was incredible and came with a little paper plane that one of the waitresses makes by hand. The felt pretty special. Overall great experience. Will be back."
"I had a lovely dining experience at CōV Edina on a Sunday for brunch. We were seated quickly & had great service. They have the restaurant decorated for the holidays which was fun & festive. We ordered the Brisket Hash and the Lobster Tartine. The food was so flavorful & very filling. Highly recommend both of these dishes along with a crisp glass of one of their Sauvignon Blancs."
"We went to the Porterhouse for a Friday night dinner and were not disappointed! We made a reservation just hours before and showed up right on time. We thought there would be a little wait because it was so busy but we were seated right away! We even requested a booth and our request was fulfilled! The restaurant itself was dim lit and had a very romantic vibe. Also, it seemed like every seat was filled, but we still had exceptional service. The menu was not that big, but still had so many options inside. Luckily our server was amazing and able to recommend her favorites and explain the portion sizes. It was National Espresso Martini day so I had to get one and it was delicious! Some places don't know how to make them, but this one was great! We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer, would definitely recommend. Our meals also came with bread and a side soup or salad. I chose the French onion soup and was blown away but how good it was! Finally our meals came and we had to bring home half of it because we were so stuffed! It is a pricer place, but well worth every penny! From the service to the food, this place was 10/10! I would definitely recommend!"
"My husband took me here for my birthday. Our server greeted us with a smile, was very attentive. There was a warm ambiance that helped us relax. The salad bar was filled with great looking food like various lettuces, tomatoes, shrimp ceviche, mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes and much, much more. The server explained how the meat portion of the meal worked by making sure that we displayed the green part of the stick if we want to try meats. We turned it over to display the green and soon waiters came by with the various meat options like lamb, sirloin, chicken, sausage, fish, Tri-tip, and their delicious grilled pineapple. All in all, a great experience with fantastic food. I highly recommend trying them out for a special occasion or date night."
"I came here with my family of 5 and a friend's family of 7 for lunch at noon on a Wednesday. The hostess asked if we had a reservation, we did not, but it only took her a couple minutes to place us in the back booth - two tables, one large booth. The service we had was very good! All the kids got kids meals, and I was surprised by how large they were. The adult portions were a good size also. The food was good, but not amazing. I appreciated that you could get sweet potato fries with a sandwich order, and it wasn't an upcharge. I would come back here for their ability to deal with a large party and their great service."

Called to place a to go order at 5:50pm. Spoke with Lily to place the order, she said it'd be ready in 25 min. My husband goes in to pick up and pay. Bartender said he couldn't find the order, asked if we called the right location, my husband said his wife spoke with Lily. Yes Lily works the front desk. She never gave the kitchen our order. Offered him a free ginger ale for the inconvenience and said he'd get the kitchen to rush the new order. Really a free ginger ale, wow. Ground breaking. The least he could do is speak to a manager and offer a 10% discount or a free dessert since it was New Year's Eve. Food was delicious as usual but service could be better.

It was a very busy night as there was a Wild game solots of folks eating before the game. We were fortunate to be in a adjacent room so it was quietermaking conversation easier. Three of us ordered petite filets which were very tender and cooked as requested. Service was a bit slow but okay given it was a busy night. Wine pours are generous and reasonably priced which is a nice change from most restaurants.

Saw a movie in Burnsville and decided to grab dinner at Porter Creek. I love the ambiance. There is outdoor, porch, and inside seating - so they have you covered in any weather. TVs are on if you want to catch a game but there is also nice lighting and booths for intimate conversation. We sat on the porch on an overcast but lovely night. I ordered the spare rib and husband had the chicken sandwich. Our meals came out almost immediately. Would have liked a few minutes for drink a few sips of wine, but faster is better than too slow. My meal was good. Spare rib was like a beef roast piece. Nice and tender. Mashed potatoes were creamy and yummy and green beans were crisp and fresh. Maddie was our server and she was excellent. So nice and accommodating. Good stop.

I've passed by Jax Cafe so many times (live in the area) and never expected it to be so fancy inside! Great place to celebrate a special occasion or just have a nice night out. We ordered drinks to start, and I got an old fashioned. For as nice as the place is, I was surprised by the average quality of the drink. It had a lot of ice (instead of one big cube or sphere, which I think is standard) and wasn't mixed very well (sugar at the bottom). I'm glad to say though that everything else we had was amazing, so it only got better from there! Appetizer: artichoke dip (small portion) with toasted bread. Main: New York strip - DELICIOUS! Didn't try any add ons. Mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus on the side-- both pretty standard.Overall it was a really nice experience. The steak was so, so good and our server was fantastic. The service, paired with the atmosphere (live piano music) made all the difference.

I went here for a work dinner with low expectations after seeing the yelp star rating. So off. The warmth, the aesthetic, the service all fantastic. I ordered gnocchi but replaced the chicken with shrimp and *chefs kiss* the sundried tomatos, spinach and creamy sauce was criminally indulgent and delicious. My coworkers loved the seasonal walleye menu item (they also have a walleye available year round), as well as the lobster and shrimp pasta. Warm and cozy yet chic and rich Italian food for the win.

Best Salmon of My LifeThe Lexington is an old school supper club on Grand Ave in St Paul, Mn. Our Thanksgiving dinner last year was so good we decided to go again this year. Does two years in a row make for a tradition? I guess we'll know next year. The Lex is pricey and the kind of place you'll want to dress up for. But the food, the service and the ambiance make for a very special night out - perfect for an anniversary, milestone birthday or, in this case, Thanksgiving dinner.Known for their steaks and seafood, but I needed a "healthy option" . Cooked perfectly with bearnaise served on the side, the Salmon Oscar exceeded expectations. Others at our table ordered scallops, a burger and the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I have had the Thanksgiving dinner before. It competes with anything you'd make at home (even better, I think). On what had to have been one of their busiest nights of the year, the Lex delivered: cheerful efficient service, excellent food and the kind of atmosphere you can only get at an establishment thats been a local legend for nearly a century. I am grateful that places like The Lex still exist and that I am able to treat my family to a special meal at such a place.

"Whiskey Inferno is a nice option for non-chain restaurant dining in Savage. My husband and I usually go for a few cocktails and an app as the entrees are a bit overpriced. That said, their cocktails are SO good and they mix up their cocktail menu. It's got a fun ambiance/atmosphere and the decor makes it feel a little edgy. It gets pretty crowded on weekend evenings so prepare to wait a bit. Plenty of parking though. Whiskey Inferno is a great spot for a date night or to meet up with friends!"
"Really good food. I ordered so much. We came for my friends birthday so it was quite a few of us. The staff were so awesome and patient with us since most of the girls had never been. The show was awesome and he engaged with all of us and wasn't rushing to get done which was nice. I got a chicken tempura roll, the hara maki, and the hibachi chicken which came with the miso soup and the salad. I love this place and would 10/10 come again."
"We were fairly satisfied with our meal at PS Steak. The ambiance, service, most of the food, and all of the drinks were great. We did think a couple of the food dishes were just so/so, but even with that, I almost gave this restaurant five stars. Here's a rundown:Ambiance and service: Absolutely beautiful interior, with two different rooms to choose from. Our server was phenomenal; he was very knowledgable and also took some dietary issues into account. All in all, we were very satisfied with these aspects.Drinks: I had two old fashioneds and my wife had a glass of house wine. We both liked our drinks, and I especially appreciated that I could try out multiple types of Old Forester bourbons. All in all, a great selection.Food: We had the crab cakes (dairy free and yummy), shrimp appetizer, a salad (simple but good), the steak sampler (steaks were good, but I'm not sure the dish was worth $100), foie gras and bone marrow accompaniments (the best foie gras I've had in the Twin Cities, almost as good as in France; and really good bone marrow), and french fries (pretty standard fries but very yummy dips). We also had the baked Alaska, which was dairy free, but came out a bit odd (the sorbet was rock solid, and the meringue was a bit off as well, I've definitely had much better baked Alaska elsewhere, even dairy free versions. All in all, we had a nice dinner, and although we thought the actual steak was pretty average and the baked Alaska was also pretty meh, everything else was really, really good, the service was awesome, and the ambiance was great too."
"Amazing came here because my co worker said that porterhouse made the best steak. And they did not disappoint. Service was okay it was super busy so I understand why the service wasn't so great. Ambiance was great!"
"Celebrated my dad's birthday here along with a wedding going on and many other people- it was a very busy night for the restaurant. Smaller roof top patio and an oddly placed bathroom.Service was excellentAtmosphere very loud, but expected given how busy they were. Food was excellent. Ordered the oriental chicken salad which was delicious and hearty for a salad.Onion rings- were gigantic and battered which are the best. I don't like the non beer battered crunchy type. These were great.Other people ordered shrimp, pasta, steaks all said to be very good. Nice little gem of a place in White Bear Lake."
"Still one of the best low-cost restaurants in Eau Claire. We got a meal and drinks for about $17 apiece. Service was amazing and that atmosphere was quite nice with only a few people in the restaurant. food was better than I remembered definitely worth the $14"
"My dad was in the mood for steak, so we tried Bennett's. When we pulled up to the building I was not very confident because the outside appearance is not very nice for a steak house, looked more like a dive bar. We got inside and things improved greatly. It is still a bar, but in the dining area the tables all had nice cloths and it looked much nicer. We ordered drinks and they were very good. We each had the sirloin steak with au gratin potatoes, very tasty and done rare just as we ordered. For me the best part was the Brussels sprouts that came with the meal. They were sliced thin and sautéed and were probably the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had. It was more affordable than other steak houses as well, which is very nice!"
"The finest in Mankato, though I prefer the old menu with many small plate options. (They are more a steakhouse now). Food is always delicious (Appetizers, desserts, cocktails, and unique non-steak options.) Top-notch waitstaff and bartenders who are knowledgeable and attentive. Our favorite for special occasions."
"First time I've ever been here, but I've heard many positive things about their rolls. We went on a Saturday at 4:30pm for dinner and I'm glad we went early. It was packed! We were sat pretty quick though. I'd suggest having an early dinner so you don't have to have a long wait. My partner and I shared the filet medallions and it was the perfect amount for two (9oz total). You have a choice to pair your meal with two sides so we chose two house salads. Moderate pricing too. Some of the best steak I have had in my life. Perfectly cooked. Kudos to the kitchen staff. Will be back for sure."
"Very popular for good reason! Food is always fresh, hot and decent sized portions. Good happy hour offerings, CRAZY weekend loaded Bloody Mary's! Great sandwiches, burgers, steaks, giant burrito! You won't be disappointed!"
"Wow! We went to the Vikings -Colts Game last night and stopped her for dinner. What a Vibe and the food was great! The decor and ambiance - SPOT ON!Definitely stop in and experience it for yourself."
"This is the best steak house in the town! My ex and I used to go there alllll the time! Definitely suggest you to order their gyro!!! Their most meals comes with baked potatoes and Texas toast bread. Go there happy hour and get gyro & fries for cheaper price! The cookers and servers are always incredibly friendly dealing with our orders!"
"3.5/5Stopped in here Valentine's Day late afternoon and there was plenty of seating. Staff were friendly but nothing particularly memorable, some were just standing around chatting waiting for the rush to hit. I got the avocado roll and sweet potato roll, my husband got tuna and salmon rolls. All were great but again, nothing terribly special (nothing to bring us back again). The restaurant itself is nice and appeared clean. I would prefer if giant TVs weren't everywhere, very distracting but some folks like that."
"Ike's is always consistent and that is something I really appreciate. My favorite things are the ribs, Brussels, cheese curds (with jalapeño jam!), Reuben and carrot cake. The drinks are always good. The prices are good and the service is excellent. The patio in the summer is so nice and the overall feel of the restaurant is cozy and warm. It's a go-to spot for us when we want no-frills deliciousness. Also shout out to Floyd, our recent server whose impeccable service caused me to write this review."
"This place has come a long way in the last couple years. The menu has truly become a force to be reckoned with (based on my entree tonight). Usually stop in here for cocktails and summer time hangs. But this night I decided to have a dining experience in the bar. I had one of their delicious shaken cocktails ... which hits just right every time! Consistency is key! For my meal... I had the Beef bourguignon and a side of the mash potatoes. First I will state... this isn't the largest portion, but what it lacks in American portion size ... makes up in absolute perfection. The beef was prepared beautifully. Melted in the mouth and the co stars shined with a similar "glazed" brightness. The smaller side of mashed potatoes were exquisite... heavy on the butter and with a rustic hint. Absolute perfection. The perfect way to sop up those bits and pieces of the bourguignon. I can't wait to try more of this hidden jewel. Hope they maintain the standards of this perfect off beat spot."
"First visit to Stockyards was awesome. Stopped in with friends for Sunday Brunch. The Ambiance is warm and welcoming...fireplace, warm woods and TV's. The dining space is separate from the bar with the TVsThe food was DELICIOUS!!! The service was outstanding! We wanted for nothing. Our server checked on us without intruding. This is a gem that we will be adding to our rotation!"
"CASPER'S has it all! Fun bar, good food and karaoke!! Honestly, what more could you ask for?! Always a FUN TIME at CASPER'S!!"
"I used to be a regular 40 years ago or so when this was an actual mini-chain in the twin cities. One could get a complete steak dinner for $5 or less in those days. This particular location operates in the same manner, order your steak at the counter, get handed a pre-made salad and portion control dressing, order a drink, take your table, and rather quickly, out comes your steak, potato, and texas toast.Flavor was great, they offer a variety of "cuts", ranging in price from $15-$20 or so. In retrospect, I should have ordered fish. I'd go back, it's a good value, but kind of in a sketchy section of University in St Paul."
"Great service, all the typical upscale steakhouse fare, martini was great and so was my steak, a bit on the rare side (ordered MR) but I powered through it. Creamed spinach was not the traditional recipe, and I did not care for it."
"We had a girl dinner here and it was lovely! The restaurant is really pretty and super clean. Everyone had something different and it was all amazing. I had the gnocchi with chicken. It was so pillowy with a delicious cheese and potato filling. It had large pieces of chicken and peas. It was SO good. The dinner rolls were a favorite too. They were a cross between a bun and a biscuit. Yum! Oh! The arancini are a must order too. Our server was wonderful too. We all loved it."
"I don't understand how you can say this place is bad. This place beats everywhere I have eaten in my home state of North Carolina. Very clean, great waitress, and the cook was fantastic."
"The drinks and food are consistently good - we come here regularly and they always have some items on a rotating menu to keep things fresh, which we appreciate!"
"This a true gem in the middle of nowhere. I'm lucky enough to have a friend near by when passing through western Wisconsin and called to ask for a good steakhouse/supper club. The attention to detail was in everything they did, whether it was the old fashions made from brandy or whiskey or sweet or bitter. All salad dressings are also house made along with the rolls and bread. The main course of a perfectly cooked ribeye was one of the best steaks I ever had and price at $35 the 14oz was a steal. The service was just like the food, spot on. This place is worth the 1/2 hour detour off of 94 by New Richmond WI."
