"A family-friendly location featuring seafood, craft beer, and outdoor seating. Located at the well-known destination, Minnehaha Falls, Sea Salt Eatery ensures fresh, tasty food, plenty of seating, and the soothing background sound of the falls. Our group visited over Labor Day weekend. We inched along in line like a ride at Disney World but chatted and didn't mind the long wait. Once at the ordering counter, we could also order beverages. Craft beer, kombucha, soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages were available. Water in cups was self-serve and free. A separate beer stand exists for quick service. I checked out the specials menu while waiting and ordered the "Sexy Ahi Burger", cooked medium. Reduced balsamic and the grilled onion enhanced the flavor, along with the horsey sauce on the side. The flavors filled the taste buds to the max and I'd return for this 4 star "burger."Our group ordered fries and fried clam strips that I tried. They both were 3 stars. Clam strips were accompanied by the typical cocktail sauce (ketchup with horseradish). The very nearby falls are a great before or after dinner view and walk. Another challenge on a busy day beside the long waits for ordering and receiving, is parking. Pay per spot is an available on site with additional parking in nearby neighborhoods. Always pay attention to the signs along the street to make sure you're parking in a spit designated for parking."
"This place is adorable. I met my friend for lunch and we were both pleasantly surprised by how cute it was inside. We were seated in a charming booth- the booths are cushined with pillows and curtains. We ordered some appetizers. Egg rolls and pan fried dumplings- both good. I ordered the Meizuh fried rice was absolutely delicous. It was light and not greasy at all. Wonderful taste and good with the hot mustard which was really hot! Will defintely be back to order some more. My friend ordered the chicken and vegetables which looked good and fresh. The menu was quite thick and had pictures which I like so we could see what we were ordering. Had to pull the prices up on our phones as they prices are not printed in english. Service was wonderful. Will definely return!"

"Sat at the bar. Got the onion rings appetizer and an OF. The old fashion was a little sweet for my liking. We didn't have dinner but based on the looks of the food all around us everything looked amazing. Some of the best onion rings I've ever had. Bar was lowkey and we walked right in and sat down during peek dinner hours. Will definitely be back for the onion rings and hopefully dinner"
"For reference, 3 is decent, 4 is good, 5 is amazing.Redstone has become a reoccurring choice; Good food, service, atmosphere, consistency. Great for groups or a date."
"Dim sum might be my favorite way to spend a Saturday morning and Mandarin Kitchen is an excellent host for the occasion. There is a line at opening so come prepared but the staff are well prepared and organized to sit and serve everyone promptly.Dim sum can be a bit overwhelming if you're not familiar but lean into the chaos and you'll have a great time. Our strategy is to steer clear from the buns at first to not fill up too fast but you do you.The food itself isn't re-inventing the wheel but it is consistent and authentic. Personal favorites are the spicy peanut bun and the meatballs. Surprisingly, the star of this last visit was the egg rolls which we've always skipped before but they were excellent.Coming with a group allows for more experimentation and their lazy Susan tables are very accommodating. It does add up quickly though so be aware if you're on a budget.Overall, it's a casual, tasty, and different way to spend a weekend morning instead of heading to the familiar local diner."
"A true survivor, Jax has proved itself to be the best year over year. Five of us were here for a birthday dinner on a Thursday evening and it was absolutely delightful. It's business casual dress for the most part but the decor is old school elegant. If you make reservations early (suggested) they will print their characteristic matchbooks for the table, which provide a lasting memento of the occasion. Plenty of space between tables, ambient lighting, warm and quiet enough to carry on a conversation with your party while sharing the convivial atmosphere with other restaurant guests. Our wait person was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly -- without being overly familiar or chatty. I see that some previous reviewers had mixed opinions about the quality of their food, but our experience was quite the opposite. There were five of us and our menu selections ranged from seafood to beef, with vegetable sides and salad. All of it was perfectly prepared and the cooked entrees arrived simultaneously at our table while still hot from the kitchen. In particular, a couple of us enjoyed the filet mignon broiled to the exact medium rare. Mashed potatoes, which are ho-hum in most restaurants were elevated to a creamy richness here. Oven roasted asparagus complimented with a savory bearnaise is my choice for a side. Lastly, unlike some downtown venues, their Northeast location allows for ample parking in a flat lot directly across the street. No charge."
"There are not a lot of places in the Eagan area that offer unique and delicious dishes that you would find in a hip city restaurant. They offer a great breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner, and have tons of different options from MN themed foods like hot dish and spam themed (okay these are novelties, spam is disgusting, yes we all know it) to cute grazing boards and steaks. They seem to change the menu seasonally, so some of the things in my photo aren't offered right now. The fries trio is no longer gluten free, which was a big blow to my family. I also definitely recommend making reservations if you are doing dinner. They can get very busy and have a significant wait time. Honestly even at lunchtime occasionally there is a wait.I gave it four stars instead of five, because no matter how busy it is, the service is always just a little bit off. Never do I feel that the staff at this restaurant are attentive, and they honestly always seem crabby, especially the guy that regularly seats people. He may be one of the owners, but I'm not sure."
"We could not have found a more perfect restaurant! Long time friend flew into MSP and checked into a Roseville hotel, so we looked for convenience as well as a location where conversation would not be drowned out. Our server, Cole, was spot on. There when we needed, but never hovering. So check off great service and equally great ambiance. The food selection didn't disappoint either. Calamari and a wonderfully seasoned fried shrimp were perfect starters with the wine. A bite of focaccia and then our entrees were served. Ooooo the Walleye was superbly presented with asparagus and the Chicken Marsala was in a heavenly sauce. Pricey for us retired folks, but every bite was worth the tab. Summation: Fine Dining"
"Best dim sum for seafood lovers. Lots of pork-free dumplings. Highly recommend fried crab claw, shrimp shumai, fried garlic and shrimp dumpling. I've been coming here for dim sum and it is consistently delicious."
"This is a tough one. The food was really good-really good, however the prices blew my mind for the size of the portions.I got the ZANAHORIAS - Roasted brown butter garlic carrots, guajillo butter sauce, asparagus, mushrooms, micro arugula, tangerine oil, sherry glaze. This was my main dish and although it was delicious, it was like 4 carrots, 8 mushrooms, and 3 asparagus. I was still hungry when I finished and it was $18! So good and just ok"
"We had a great experience at ACQUA. We were lucky to get a true lakeside seat on a Sunday. My wife and I had the couples special and the food was amazing. I had corn chowder with the Roasted Chicken Scarpariello entree. My wife had the roasted beets and the Shrimp Scampi. No disappointments. The service was excellent. Highly recommended."
"Just go for the eggrolls, you'll feel a lot happier. This restaurant has this food down pat, and it's difficult to just eat one of them. The rest of the food is bland, unfortunately. You can't get anything spicy (maybe spice isn't a part of Vietnamese cuisine?) and there's nothing distinctive about it.The service is friendly, quick, and efficient."

I always read the comments section in the "36 Hours" series of the New York Times because locals will usually give tips that were neglected in the articles. I am grateful to the person that commented on the recent piece about Minneapolis because this was how I found out about visiting beautiful Minnehaha Falls and having lunch at the adjacent Sea Salt Eatery! Easily accessible via light rail from downtown, we walked the nearby Minnehaha Creek Trail and were ready for a nice seafood lunch! It was a beautiful day so that meant many other people had the same idea. There was a fairly long line but it only took around 20 minutes before we reached the front. That gave us plenty of time to look over the regular and daily menus - and to share a pint of their delicious cider while we waited. We didn't feel like having anything fried so we opted for one of their daily specials- a Cajun Ahi Po'Boy. We also ordered a Pickled Herring appetizer. We took our number and found a table outside on the patio. After around 10 minutes, a server came out with our order. We both agreed that the Po-Boy was absolutely delicious! Plenty for us to share! And the portion size of the pickled herring was also very generous! Thank you to the person that recommended this place!

Ever have a place that has become a go-to over Time? Tea House at the U of M is one of those for my family and many of our friends.First of all the location is central to the whole of the Twin Cities.Second it's pretty roomy.Third the food is amongst the best Asian cuisine in the Twin Cities. Let me add the staff is usually quite good.Today my Daughter, son and I came from Edina and caught up with one of my cousins from Woodbury mid week. Despite traffic we all of us made it in reasonable time. The food was quite good and we loved it. Seafood ruled the day and these guys have a bunch of choices in that area.

Called to place a to go order at 5:50pm. Spoke with Lily to place the order, she said it'd be ready in 25 min. My husband goes in to pick up and pay. Bartender said he couldn't find the order, asked if we called the right location, my husband said his wife spoke with Lily. Yes Lily works the front desk. She never gave the kitchen our order. Offered him a free ginger ale for the inconvenience and said he'd get the kitchen to rush the new order. Really a free ginger ale, wow. Ground breaking. The least he could do is speak to a manager and offer a 10% discount or a free dessert since it was New Year's Eve. Food was delicious as usual but service could be better.

It was quite an experience. Everyone lined up when they opened at 9:30, they sat us immediately and then started pushing the carts of food around the tables. The food was not like anything I've had before. It was definitely a different experience. The staff were great. We were done eating and in our way out within 40 mins. The experience was good and I'm glad I went. Unfortunately I learned that I am not a big fan of the food myself. But still recommend going and trying it for yourself.

I've passed by Jax Cafe so many times (live in the area) and never expected it to be so fancy inside! Great place to celebrate a special occasion or just have a nice night out. We ordered drinks to start, and I got an old fashioned. For as nice as the place is, I was surprised by the average quality of the drink. It had a lot of ice (instead of one big cube or sphere, which I think is standard) and wasn't mixed very well (sugar at the bottom). I'm glad to say though that everything else we had was amazing, so it only got better from there! Appetizer: artichoke dip (small portion) with toasted bread. Main: New York strip - DELICIOUS! Didn't try any add ons. Mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus on the side-- both pretty standard.Overall it was a really nice experience. The steak was so, so good and our server was fantastic. The service, paired with the atmosphere (live piano music) made all the difference.

My7 first time eating her with my daughter and her family and it will not be the last time. Everything was so delicious. We started with Yuca con chicharron which were very unique and tasty but I didn't get photo. I ordered the chicken Saltimbocca that was perfection, with mashed potatoes and grilled broccolini that was done just right. This dish has a lemon beurre blanc sauce that paired with this dish so nicely, not a heavy sauce and not too light. My daughter ordered the ravioli which she loved. My son in law had the most flavorful Atlantic salmon with lobster risotto (that was so creamy) and grilled wok chop with the same beurre blanc sauce that my dish had. trust me he has a spotless clean plate. The atmosphere is cute and they were busy, we made 6:00 reservations just a few hours ahead of time, glad we did. 5 stars!! Good waiter too.

I went here for a work dinner with low expectations after seeing the yelp star rating. So off. The warmth, the aesthetic, the service all fantastic. I ordered gnocchi but replaced the chicken with shrimp and *chefs kiss* the sundried tomatos, spinach and creamy sauce was criminally indulgent and delicious. My coworkers loved the seasonal walleye menu item (they also have a walleye available year round), as well as the lobster and shrimp pasta. Warm and cozy yet chic and rich Italian food for the win.

"Hunan beef is tender and tasty. Huge portions. Great decorations inside the restaurant. Lots of parking in the back."
"I had a lovely dining experience at CōV Edina on a Sunday for brunch. We were seated quickly & had great service. They have the restaurant decorated for the holidays which was fun & festive. We ordered the Brisket Hash and the Lobster Tartine. The food was so flavorful & very filling. Highly recommend both of these dishes along with a crisp glass of one of their Sauvignon Blancs."
"We went to the Porterhouse for a Friday night dinner and were not disappointed! We made a reservation just hours before and showed up right on time. We thought there would be a little wait because it was so busy but we were seated right away! We even requested a booth and our request was fulfilled! The restaurant itself was dim lit and had a very romantic vibe. Also, it seemed like every seat was filled, but we still had exceptional service. The menu was not that big, but still had so many options inside. Luckily our server was amazing and able to recommend her favorites and explain the portion sizes. It was National Espresso Martini day so I had to get one and it was delicious! Some places don't know how to make them, but this one was great! We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer, would definitely recommend. Our meals also came with bread and a side soup or salad. I chose the French onion soup and was blown away but how good it was! Finally our meals came and we had to bring home half of it because we were so stuffed! It is a pricer place, but well worth every penny! From the service to the food, this place was 10/10! I would definitely recommend!"
"I came here with my family of 5 and a friend's family of 7 for lunch at noon on a Wednesday. The hostess asked if we had a reservation, we did not, but it only took her a couple minutes to place us in the back booth - two tables, one large booth. The service we had was very good! All the kids got kids meals, and I was surprised by how large they were. The adult portions were a good size also. The food was good, but not amazing. I appreciated that you could get sweet potato fries with a sandwich order, and it wasn't an upcharge. I would come back here for their ability to deal with a large party and their great service."
"This is my local Indian go-to!! Everybody has their personal Indian spot and luckily for me it's one of the closer ones to my home - I would have been willing to drive for it though had it been further. The things that I would most recommend would be their tandoori murg and their tandoori shrimp. The tandoori murg has delicious, moist chicken thighs and legs that are served over tasty and pickle-y carrots anc onions. It is SO dang good!!! The shrimp is LOADED with spices and flavor and tends to be a little spicier than whatever level you tend to order it at, but it's so dang yummy!!! Together they're a perfect fusion. If you're looking for something a little saucier, their vindaloo is good, and I'd highly recommend their chicken with mushrooms - just all around solid food and a great value for what you pay! Also, if you're trying to get back to eating in restaurants, the place itself is a really classy little restaurant. It's got clean/modern classic vibes that you might not expect - perfect for a mid-week date night!!"
"The good first: it's a great price, the line moves quickly despite how long it can get at lunch time (though you may have to wait a few minutes to pick up your order), and they have a varied menu of sushi and curry (with vegetarian options). The reason it only gets 3 stars: I don't think the sushi is very good, and the lunch bowl (which you can get with extra fish for just a few dollars extra) isn't super flavorful. Either the fish and rice need to be better, or it needs a sauce that isn't soy (too salty, no chance of tasting anything). There is extremely limited seating in this skyway location, and if you do choose to eat in there, everyone waiting on line will be standing on top of you. Definitely more of a take-away place, at least during the lunchtime crush."
"I went here with my mom for senior day and was overall quite impressed. We were seated quickly and our waitress was friendly and fast. The prices were a bit steep for the quality of the rolls in comparison to other restaurants nearby but overall the food was season 12 and had lots of good flavor. The restaurant from the outside may seem a bit daunting, but the interior is very clean and light. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant but just be worried. The prices are a bit higher than others"
"OVERALL: a true & authentic hole in the wall restaurant. A hidden gem on the U of M campus. FOOD: We ordered the chicken congee, honey bbq pork, beef chow fun, crispy custard dessert, Hong Kong style milk tea, and Hong Kong style lemon tea. The HK style teas were the best teas I've had in the city. They were absolutely delicious! Each of the dishes themselves were large portions and so flavorful. For the congee, maybe ordering soy sauce or even ginger scallion oil on the side would've leveled it up, BUT even for just the congee itself it was delicious and you can tell they use broth instead of water to boil it down. I also appreciate with the chow fun that they limit the amount of onions and add a lot of bean sprouts. The BBQ pork with honey really adds a unique flavor that is not typical of other BBQ pork I've ordered at other places. SERVICE: The service was fast and kind. Waters always full, truly 5/5. PRICE: I'll have to come back for their weekday lunch special where dishes range from $9-12, but each of our dishes today were $13-$19. I learned as well that the owners are from HK and want to share the authentic flavors in MN. They also are the only restaurant that make the crispy cream custard dessert that is SO delicious. They make it to order as well so it's always fresh and hot. They also make their duck daily as well and I have to come back for that! *They also have a parking lot, which is HUGE bonus for being on campus!!"
"I love Jimmy's but I will say I've had a tough time branching out from my favorite dishes due to some inconsistencies with others.I'll start with my favorites: buffalo wings. I am not a wing girl and somehow I am here. The buffalo sauce is house-made and the flavor is out of this world. They are the best wings I have ever had. I also really love their French dip sandwich. The bread is crusty and perfect and I like their au jus. The chicken piccata is great as well and if I'm feeling indulgent, the lobster spinach artichoke dip is a delicious starter. With that said, I don't think the pastas are exciting and the brussels sprouts are dry.For drinks, I recommend ordering a standard cocktail. I have tried nearly all of their specialty cocktails and with the exception of their espresso martini, I have never been that impressed. They are certainly not bad drinks, but they all taste like something I could easily make at home. Wines are good! The best service I get is when I sit at the bar. I don't know why, but when I sit at the high tops and booths in the bar, I find myself hunting for my server once they drop off our food and have even gone up to the bar to order a drink when I couldn't get my server's attention. When I sit in the dining room, I find the servers linger and want to hang out and talk for wayy too long. Idk what's going on! As a former server myself, I always like to be personable with my server but I seem to struggle finding that balance here.Overall we will keep coming back. It's a great place to watch a game, the apps are great, they have an awesome happy hour, good prices, and the vibe is always nice."
"Amazing came here because my co worker said that porterhouse made the best steak. And they did not disappoint. Service was okay it was super busy so I understand why the service wasn't so great. Ambiance was great!"
"I came here with a friend for a quick dinner. I don't love a tablet ordering system. On request we were given printed menus but I went ahead with the tablet, ordering the daily spicy bean noodle special appetizer, Sichuan green beans, and chow fun. (I know, not a Sichuan dish but my friend wanted something non-spicy.)A server brought our order to the table, minus the appetizer. When I asked, he went back to the kitchen and a few minutes later came out to tell me that it wasn't available. He asked me to substitute a different day's special, but none appealed to me, so I told him just to skip it. The green beans were limp and bland. We asked for salt and chili oil, which made them better. Ironically, the chow fun was the best part of the meal, although the portion was small. When it was time to pay, I tapped the screen for our server, and when she handed us the bill, the appetizer was still on it. I had to ask to have the charge removed. The decor of the place is nice, but there are Sichuan restaurants in town with better food, better service, and larger portions, so next time I want a Sichuan meal, I'll go elsewhere."
"If you haven't made your way over to West Broadway before you should definitely at it on your eats list! There are a ton of cute shops, eateries, and even a butcher shop! I was in the mood for some good eats Italian, you know like the kind where you imagine an adorable Italian grandma hand rolling noodles and stirring a giant pot of sauce with an oversized ladle spoon. Well we found it at Nonna Rosa's and I can't wait to go back!! We opted to sit on the back patio since it was a lovely evening and ordered the bruschetta to start, we both got the soup of the day with our entrees of Gnocchi Mare Monte & chicken parm. It was all sooo incredibly delicious, packed with flavor, and filled us to the brim!"
"Still one of the best low-cost restaurants in Eau Claire. We got a meal and drinks for about $17 apiece. Service was amazing and that atmosphere was quite nice with only a few people in the restaurant. food was better than I remembered definitely worth the $14"
"This is one of my favorite spots for takeout in Burnsville! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I've only gotten takeout, but they do have a spacious dining room if you prefer to dine in. There is a large parking lot out front so no issues with parking. They have a great lunch special for just under $12 that comes with soup, an appetizer, an entree and rice. My go-to order is the chicken lomein and egg rolls. Hands down my favorite egg rolls! The only down side is that if you're ordering takeout you do have to call in your order as they don't have online ordering."
"I made a rather large delivery order as it should last for a few days. I ordered #20 Laab Esan with pork, #11 Cream Cheese Wonton, #5 Chicken Satay, #4 Sue Egg Rolls, #24 Red Curry w beef, and various sauces I'm saving the laab and curry for later. Everything was quite scrumptious. The satay was a little dry, but it's hard to expect different when it's delivery. It tasted great still with plenty of the peanut sauce -- I ordered extra. Only 2.5/5 on this. It's probably 5/5if you're dining in. The cream cheese wontons were stuffed really full with warm soft cream cheese, delightful with the sweet chili sauce. 5/5The egg rolls were just HUGE - surprisingly excellent texture after delivery: still hot and crisp. I had to eat mine with knife and fork it was so large. Also used the sweet chili sauce. 4.5/5 on the egg roll. Price including delivery and tip was $60! This effectively 4 good-sized meals. I will be ordering from Sawatdee again!Sawatdee kha!"
"Chicken egg fu young and ma po tofu are superlative. Sauces on both dishes are loaded with extra ingredients. No wonder there was a steady stream of to go customers. Next visit we will try chow fun and lo mein. If they are as good I'll move this place to the top of the Asian food list."
"Best meal in MN so far! We just moved here from a foodie city and haven't been impressed with the food around here as of yet. Perron's changed that! The food was delicious and flavorful. My husband had the filet tip fettuccine and I had the seafood risotto. The martinis were also too notch. We'll be back!"
"Really enjoyed this place. Walls were brick and wood (hence the name) giving a bit of an old pub feel. We were seated quickly and drink orders taken. In our party of 5, we ordered Fish and Chips with sweet potato fries, Fish Tacos, Dick Titus Commercial, Guinness Prime Rib Cheese Steak Sandwich and Perrystown Pretzels. Our food came quickly, was hot and well presented. My Commercial was really good. Gravy seemed homemade and portion size was nice. Tasty meal. My wife had the Fish Tacos. They were good as well. I didn't try the other food (friends not family) but everyone enjoyed it. I only got a picture of my entree, and the others we were with aren't really foodies and don't understand the pics lol.Bottom line - good service, good food, good ambiance. Will return next time in town. A solid 4.5 to 4.7 experience."
"One of my favorite restaurants in Minnesota. Comfortable interior with plenty of parking outside. Love the menu- so many appetizing choices and they have weekly specials. We started with the large shrimp appetizer and it was everything they promised. I then chose one of the weekly specials- the lobster banh mi and it was superb. Messy, delicious and perfect. It comes with fries but I upgraded to Brussel Sprouts and they were outstanding. It can be difficult to find a Grenache on wine menus but Smack Shack has a fantastic one. Service was good. We didn't feel rushed and they checked in with us regularly. Prices are moderate - it is lobster after all."
"After driving past this place for years (and years and years) we finally pulled the trigger and gave it a try - glad we did! We went on a busy Friday night and were seated immediately. Service was quick and friendly. I had the prime rib special which I thought was delicious and tasty. Huge baked potato and a wonderful salad. The babyback ribs looked good (didn't get a chance to try) and the elusive liver and onions were good according to my dinner mate who ate it! Sarna's hits that niche where you can go for a burger and beer or a nice "classic" meal - think fish, meatloaf, prime rib (weekends only), etc. They have a Sunday brunch that I bet is delicious - can't wait to check it out!"
"Called ahead on a Thursday evening for 7 people. They were able to seat us around 7 PM.Haley was an amazing server. She saved my husband and brother from ordering two Chef's Butcher Boards.Smoked Brisket Tacos (on the bar menu) - 5 starsChef's Salad - perfect for one person - 5 starsCaramelized Brussel Sprouts - so good! 5 starsSmoked mushroom gratin - the best thing we got all night - 5 starsCauliflower Fritters - tempura goodness - 5 stars4 oz Wagyu beef - honestly, I was so full I could barely taste it, but everybody loved it so 5 stars"
"Both the food and service were excellent. We had chips & guacamole, chicken & lengua tacos, and the churros. The only thing I didn't love was the picante that came with the chips & guacamole...it was a bit bland and sweet. The restaurant has a casual/neighborhood vibe."
"We have gotten Kataki 3 times now and WOW I'm so impressed with their sushi! I hadn't heard of it until my brother visited from out of town and suggested it and now it's one of our favorite places. The quality is amazing and the sushi is fresh and unique.I've never sat in the restaurant so I can't speak to the ambiance - we have only ever gotten take out. However we have ordered by calling and have never had any problems with the order or service when we pick up.We have tried multiple rolls including the Spicy Girl Roll, Sexy Girl roll, and Kataki roll. Everything has been delicious and I can't choose a favorite! Also don't sleep on the stir fry ramen, it's delicious. Get the chicken! I've tried the steak one as well and they're both amazing."
