"Stopped in after baseball for a quick drink and some grub. We had a group of 8 and the gal that waited on us wasn't even supposed to be working that night. She just happened to be there and decided to help out, props to her! We sat out in the patio area which was pretty nice. They have a pretty good selection and the prices aren't bad either. I had the 21 shrimp platter with texas toast and they let me add fries. Everything was pretty tasty."

"I ordered a 8 1/2" round birthday cake from out-of-state because I was going to be in Mankato that day and didn't want a pre-made grocery store cake. I thought the cake would be a traditional 2-layer cake, so I was surprised it was just 1-layer. I probably should have specified I wanted 2 layers, but it would have been helpful if they had asked since I didn't realize there was an option. The decorating was nothing special, but the chocolate cake was absolutely DELICIOUS! Very moist and chocolatey. The chocolate frosting was a bit sweet for my taste,but the kids enjoyed it. Price was good. We also ordered pecan rolls and cinnamon rolls, which were yummy as well. Don't let the outside of the store fool you... This is a wonderful bakery! Next time I am in Mankato I am going to try the bread."

"I've been coming to this area for years but never had visited Ammo's - we stopped recently with friends to grab a late lunch and some drinks. It's your standard "up north bar" with a long bar, a pool table and a video jukebox. (It appears that country is the genre of choice music wise). Food wise, they have a few sandwich choices, frozen pizzas and a cheese & cracker snack option. I opted for an Italian beef and honestly, it was super solid. Good bread, nice au jus and even hot giardinera. The boys split a pizza which looked pretty good. Expect standard drink offerings with a stiff pour. I wouldn't ask for anything crazy but they fo a fine job on the basics. Also worth noting - great bird feeders that were full on a chilly winter day. I love birds and whoever owns this place must as well. Popular with trail riders and snowmobiles. Solid sandwiches. Quality birdwatching."

"Without question, the best restaurant experience I had in downtown Stillwater, and my mouth is still watering from the experience!I just absolutely love this place, let's just start with the ambience, which is fantastic! A nice bar, right in the middle very lively, TV screens, get this they have their own distillery in the back?! I mean, I have not seen that before! You will just be so happy you stopped in here to eat. Trust me!Time to talk about the food, the best meal I've had in months! And certainly in Stillwater!! Everything here was probably about as good as things could taste let's just talk about some of the appetizers like the brussels sprouts and the carrots! Make sure you order both of those you won't regret it! My grilled chicken sandwich was the best grilled chicken sandwich I can remember having.So here's another thing, without a doubt, the best dessert I think I even can remember at a restaurant! They have several brownies here and they put ice cream on it. The chocolate, peanut butter, brownie dessert I had was as close to heaven as you can get! This is the spot to go for dinner in downtown Stillwater in my opinion! Highly recommended for a meal you won't forget!"

"This place is easy. I've gone in and ordered. I've called in my orders. Every time it's amazing. My go to is the chicken wrap. That Sammy sauce is delish. "I've had a good day-drinking divey experience at Neumann's in the past, but our last experience was inexcusable. My friend and I were sitting at the bar (some of the few if not only young women there), and some random guy bought us some shots, which we did not want. The bartender asked us to pay and we told him we did not order them, did not want them, did not drink them, and so we didn't think we should pay for them. His reaction was to swiftly kick us out. We said we'd pay for them (but not drink them) if we could just stay, but he just shouted, "Get out! Get out!", while the skeezy dude was allowed to stay. A woman manager came over and said the bartender was having a bad day, but he acted in a similar hot-headed way to another one of my friends recently. She gets the stars in this review because she apologized and offered to buy us a drink next time we came in, but of course I have no plans to come back. I used to like this historic watering hole, but I felt like we were punished for being hit on by a random dude, and women should absolutely be protected in that situation."

"I only give five stars to places I wouldn't mind eating at every day and they did it! I went due to recommendation from a friend for good skyway-located restaurants. I went during the week over the lunch hour and they were hustling and bustling. I probably saw 40 people come in and out of the place with their sandwiches in hand while I ate there for about 30 minutes. There was mostly a long line out the door which moved impressively quickly. With a menu a million miles long, I couldn't decide what to order so I went with 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich (which I was impressed you could do with any salad and any sandwich). I got 1/2 of the Thai Crunch salad and 1/2 of the Turkey Melt sandwich on sourdough bread. The salad was huge, I would've expected the full basket of salad to be considered a full size. I was a little put off by the large amount of edamame in the salad but the crunchy pieces were a welcome addition. I never know what to order so I always ask what the best of my options are which also tells me how well the staff knows the menu and how good they are at recommendations. He recommended the Turkey Melt sandwich which I thoroughly enjoyed. I don't typically like deli meat due to thickness of slices but it was so tender and they didn't pack the sandwich too full of meat- it was perfect and I ate every last crumb.I'd love to come back so I could try more of the sandwiches here. I might also throw in some housemade chips and a cookie which looked amazing."

I spoke with Betty one afternoon for about 20 minutes and I knew it would be smooth sailing from there. I told her my budget, my needs and what the client requested and she handled it all flawlessly.I received great feedback from the food and I appreciate that Betty took charge and made my job A LOT easier for this event so I could focus on other things I needed to do. The chicken bowl is a very generous portion of grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes over rice. The white sauce is delicious although I would appreciate a touch of garlic. Regardless the sauce once mixed thoroughly into the bowl makes the dish and I can't wait to eat those leftovers. The burger hit the spot for my husband and he may have even been disappointed he only got a single patty. The chicken wings were also good, not dry but for me it does need something to dip in (which is good that the order came with x2 sauces.)Everything came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot.
