"I absolutely love this place. It's right next to all the big sports stadiums so I love getting a bite here before heading to a game. The place itself is pretty small, don't expect accommodations for a huge group, but it honestly adds to the "hole in the wall" restaurant vibe. It really feels like an authentic Asian restaurant. If the servers are ushering you out as quickly as possible and head straight to business when serving, you know the food is about to hit. They always serve their kimchi stew boiling, and you get to crack your own egg! They also have such good bibimbap."
"I grew up in the NE suburbs around North St. Paul and have appreciated the change to more diverse cuisines offered to patron/esses. Recently just moved back to northeastern suburb from the western suburbs, and of course with any move, my biggest worry is where will I get my staple foods of sushi, great Ramen, and other fixings? I decided to try this place since the menu looked promising in terms of a good and flavorful bone-based broth. For whenever I have a Ramen craving, this will be my go to since it is just a few miles away. Um...what can I say? Service is knowledgable, attentive and kind. What more do you want from service? The ambiance is nifty. Contemporary decor in the style of Japanese tapestries and prints. There are two menus: 1.) For the Ramen, other entrees and of course appetizers, drinks and desserts and 2.) A menu for specifically for poké bowls that have been so popular in recent trends as well as many options for the most experienced Boba tea lover. I have been here a handful of times and have tried the seaweed salad, Agedashi tofu as appetizers, and ramen (char-siu) tonkatsu, and buta-niku soba. For the Niku soba, I always add kikurage (black mushrooms). Review:1.) Niku soba- the broth is my favorite. Depth, body, well rounded, and with the umami everyone wants to taste. The pork belly is...I do not know what the flavoring is! Maybe teriyaki? It is a sweet, tangy and umami flavored char siu cut thin (pork belly) dressed with sesame seeds that makes the dish along with the broth. Noodles are chewy and not gummy or unpleasant, the ingredients fresh and everything well balanced.2.) Tonkatsu Char-Siu Ramen- I am writing about both the tonkatsu broth and the dish "char-siu" ramen. Okay, for the less than knowledgable- char siu means taking the bacon and fat back of a pig and slicing it crosswise (transverse/sectional) rather than longitudinal to make bacon. The broth is less bold and full than the Niku soba broth and yet no less tasty nor balanced. It was more pork and umami forward. The accompaniments were a full amount of additions, which would be good for a newbie "ramen" customer: Half a soft boiled egg, kikurage (black mushrooms), bamboo slices, scallions, and fish cake. A traditional broth matched with all of the additional toppings!I know this sounds silly, but I also am extremely glad to see good, well steeped tea (at least, there was no tea bag, and the saturation of flavor was great). The presence of REAL chopsticks, complete with chopstick holder, and clay (I think?) dish wear was a treat. Okay so why not 5 stars? Admittedly, I am blessed to be fortunate to have tried ramen in a myriad of places around the globe and give out five stars sparingly. BOTTOM LINE: Craving Ramen? Good Japanese appetizers, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Japanese beverages, poke bowls and boba tea? Stop by here. It is beyond worth while!"

"This was my first time visiting this establishment. I'd heard some reviews from friends that have been and I decided to check it out. Labor Day holiday sick of barbecues nobody wants to cook and heat up the house and we all had a taste for Asian food. We went in the place was unassuming from the parking lot as it's tucked in nestled in between several other stores in a strip mall. But it was very inviting when we walked in. We were greeted right away we were asked if we wanted to be seated or get something to go I opted for to go. While I peruse the menu I noticed the sake/sushi bar. There was a gentleman there making it all of the sushi rolls fresh to order right in front of you You could sit there and eat and have sake or if you ordered it it would be brought to your table. The restaurant itself was pretty inviting it's somewhere that you could go for a nice date night or for a quick lunch or for an evening happy hour with friends. The other thing that I noticed was the menu the prices were unbelievable and I mean that in the best way possible Also the serving sizes were perfect. Oftentimes when you come to restaurants like these the portion sizes are so big that you end up wasting food. For all of the items that we got the average price was $6 per item for instance the chicken wings come in an orders of four wings for $5.95 the gyoza's or six for $5.95 The sushi was average $8 per roll but they had a double roll for $13 which is two rolls or 12 to 16 bite size pieces which was perfect. I really like this because when you're ordering for multiple people not everybody wants the same thing and sometimes people just want what they want and they don't want to share and their portion sizes were perfect for this very reason. The food was packaged very nicely it traveled well and there wasn't a bite left it was delicious. We will definitely be back to dine in and try the ramen since that is what they are famous for.*The only critique that I would have for this establishment was the short ribs.. although they were seasoned to perfection and the price was reasonable at around $8 for four pieces they were extremely thin and what seemed to be a cheaper cut of meat. As I said they were seasoned perfectly and they were worth the price I suppose but I would rather see a better cut of meat and pay $15 for four good size spare ribs other than that the food was amazing and we will definitely be back and I would highly recommend!!"
"Solidly delicious food - especially goes with the-13 degrees on MLK day! Was very pleasantly surprised by just how GOOD the food we ate was!We started with the short-ribs - thin slices of succulently seasoned and marinated nibbles of goodness! Smallish - but perfect for two to share. We also had the seasoned cucumber salad which had a little after-bite of heat, but in a "Minnesota-appropriate" way. It was cool and "hot" and a refreshing contrast to the other dishes!Hubby had the Chicken Ramen - flavorful with crispy chicken on top and he added ginger and bamboo shoots for an extra kick and crunch. I had the "signature ramen" (Char Siu) and it was REALLY good and tasty! The pork broth and noodles with the three pork belly medallions and half of a soft-boiled egg were incredible! The service (we were in for lunch) was friendly and punctual. Highly recommended!!"
"Yum is all I can start with! My date and I ordered delivery and we got two chicken stir fry ramens, age tofu, and gyoza. I added shredded char siu pork to mine which just made it over the top delicious! I was blown away with how good this ramen was and actually the age tofu (fried tofu with Japanese classical skewer sauce, tapped with bonito flakes) was my favorite part of the meal, it was just sooo good! It held its crunchy consistency even for takeout and towards the end of the meal, just so flavorful and the perfect appetizer! I didn't take any photos so you'll just have to trust me on this. Ichiddo Ramen is so good! I'll 100% be back and loved that the prices are decent. We got our whole meal for two people for just under $48 which included delivery fees, so well worth the cost!"
"Cream of chicken noodle soup is where it's at. This will be my only ramen place I go to in town from now on and has a standing in my list of all time favorite places. I always go with a spicy ramen here so I was worried the chicken soup would be too bland so I ordered a side of chili oil just in case. Boy was I wrong. The flavor punch in this dish is beyond anything I can describe in words. The piece of chicken tasted like bacon. The umami is strong. Can't go wrong with any item on the menu. Give them a visit!"
"Love this place. We met family here tonight for an early dinner. They have quite a large menu. We decided to try the chicken hibachi. It was good. There was chicken, vegs and rice also a bowl of soup. Nice little place I think family owned. We'll be back"
"My husband and I went here for a Valentine's lunch date. We arrived at 11:30, which was good, because it got pretty busy after that. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Sake, Hamachi, Shrimp Tempura, and Chicken Yakisoba. Everything was good, but the Sake and the Shrimp Tempura were the favorites! We will definitely return!"
"Fantastic ramen. I ordered extra noodles and the server recommended I also get extra broth. They weren't kidding, the extra noodle was a full second serving. The broth was delicate and flavorful.I added hot oil about halfway through and will probably do that from now on. Not overpowering, but definitely a spicy kick. It turned the broth orange!Highly recommend."
"When they say spicy, they mean it! Food was fresh and delicious, but they do not go easy on the spice in the their spicy ramen broth! I like spice, but this was INTENSE. Another in my group got a sushi burrito and it was excellent. Service was good and atmosphere was casual but nice. I'll definitely be back to try it again, but opt for a not spicy item next time"
"Great flavors, fast service, economical prices - 4 stars!Ichiddo is a local chain restaurant. It isn't a fancy ramen place. But the food is great. And the prices won't break the bank.I had the beef ramen (one of the top sellers) and 3 different appetizers. Everything I ate was very good. The ramen was flavorful along with interesting textures - I really enjoyed it. Despite being busy as hell, the service was excellent.I had to try Ichiddo after reading the silly first review, which was only one star. I disagree. Personally, I don't give a crap if the ramen is "authentic" or not. It tastes good and that's all that matters. This is a nice addition to the food scene in this part of the NW metro.Thumbs up!- Maxx"
"Tenka Ramen is a true hole in the wall! We were craving ramen and had yet to explore Minneapolis' best ramen spots, so we researched and landed on Tenka. I am not a ramen expert, but the food was delicious! I had the Spicy Miso - great flavor, not overwhelmingly spicy. The service was fast, and the atmosphere gave you small, family-owned vibes. It's a great spot if you need a ramen fix!"

Kimchi Tofu House is on my shortlist of favorite restaurants not just in the Twin Cities, but everywhere. Delicious, consistent food has had me coming back here at least every month and half since I was introduced to it in my first few weeks of college. There's a lot to love about this small shop nestled into the University campus, and over the years I've tried everything on the menu. If you haven't been, I hope this is the review the gets you to give it a shot. But first let's break it down. This place is dialed in. At Tofu House, it's all about the silken tofu stew (sundubu-jjigae). This stew hits your table in the cast pot it was cooked in-- steaming, boiling, and fiery red if you turn up the heat. Heat level is a matter of comfort of course, and you can choose what feels right. Heed this caution though--they don't play when it comes to spice. Spicy is SPICY. Medium is a good balance and what I usually order, but I wouldn't recommend going below mild or you'll lose the flavor that makes this soup so special. Order a stew and you'll receive a raw egg before your magma arrives. When that stew comes out, crack the egg on the cauldron and let it boil in front of you. Don't hesitate to do this long--you need that heat. There's a range of stews on the menu, but I stay loyal to the classic beef or go dumplings if I've got a little extra appetite. Tofu house's secret weapon is their grill, serving up sizzling plates of beef, spicy pork, and chicken bulgogi. The pork is the way to go here-- I've had graduated friends fly back to the city dreaming of this stuff. Luckily you don't have to make a choice between this and the stew. Tofu house's lunch and dinner combos let you indulge in both. You'll get a ton a food for the price--~$16 for lunch and ~$20 for dinner. Note that the stew you'll get with the combo is a bit smaller. But don't fret, I don't leave my plate empty often, but even I've brought back some pork and rice for the next day's lunch. If you want the full experience, this is the way to go.Now a couple how-tos about this sweet spot. This place is small. I'm talking seating for no more than 15, and that's including the communal tables. Yes, you might join someone else's table here, but it's part of the charm. The place is busy even when school is out, so plan for an early dinner or late lunch. They're strict about their closing time too. Don't expect to stay a minute after. Service here is all about speed. You might get two minutes to look at the menu, and don't be surprised when your check comes out after only a few bites. But ask for the time you need, or for suggestions, and they'll be happy to help. A lot flies in the face of regular restaurant service, but don't take it personally--there's a line outside waiting for stew too. Now go already!

First of all - WOW we came here on a weekday afternoon when it wasn't too busy. The server was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean and welcoming to everyone, and accommodated my family and son whom needed a highchair. We started with the spicy cucumber salad. It was tangy and fresh! A great starter. Next we tried the sweet potato fries. They were cooked perfectly with a nice dipping sauce that tasted fresh & homemade- like a homemade tomato ketchup. Following this we had the chicken kaarage and just wow.. delicious! i couldn't stop eating this dish! The skewers were so delicious and cooked perfectly, still very juicy and so much flavor! The char was on point. The steamed fried chicken bun - OMG I could have had 50 of these!! The dragon roll was also very delightful, packed with flavor. the outside was crispy and the inside put together beautifully. Lastly, the steamed rice.. again, very good. Nice flavor & the rice was not soggy or dry! We absolutely will be back. Thank you for the amazing meal, s/o to Haiku!

1) The wait wasn't very long. We were there 2 hours before closing so it wasn't busy. 2) My hubby forgot to let me try some of his teriyaki ramen and I can't trust his judgment because he just scarfs stuff down, but he said it was "good". Not a yelp worthy description but whatever haha3) My ramen, which he did try, was really tasty and the chicken of course was perfect!

Rating is strictly on boba tea as I was in a rush passing by and they had GREAT signage! First off, extremely clean interior and prompt service. The aroma smelt so very delicious and is already calling me back (making me consider a later dinner take out). The boba tea advertising has always caught my attention and I am so glad I finally was able to swing by. I got the passion tea with added pearls and it did not disappoint. I took a menu to go and everything looks amazing! This place is very robust offering various ramen dishes, edamame, sweet potato fries, fried rice, and pretty much any add on topping in the book including but not limited to: beef, pickled radish, mushrooms, shrimp, noodles, green onions, bamboo shoot, fried tofu, etc. I look forward to returning to try a more formal meal. Yum!

I probably don't stop by as often as I should, but I still really love this place. I tried a spicy Ramen dish that I've never had before and it was amazing. I also get a drink with dandelion liquor, which was pretty perfect.

This is my favorite gyoza and dipping sauce I think I've ever had. They were a little crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside and the sauce was the perfect balance of tangy, sweet and salty. The ramen was also good, but I would like to try another flavor on my next trip. I'll certainly be back. The service was fantastic as well!!

First and foremost, this is our favorite sushi spot south of the river! The best in Burnsville and closest to apple valley. They have amazing fresh sushi and the sushi chefs are always very kind. It's always fun and welcoming there. Aside from the food, We enjoy the ambiance and staff. A standout is that they give complimentary miso soup and kids get mochi after their meal. Hence it's one of our favorite sushi spot. To note, It gets pretty busy during dinner and on weekends. Give them a try. They are worth it.

"I choose this place because I enjoy ramen. What stood out is the diversity of the menu and drinks. The spicy seafood ramen bowl is excellent. Broth is well balanced not too spicy and salty. Calamari is deep fried to perfection with the sweet / spicy sauce. Edamame comes out nice and warm with a sprinkle of salt that just attacks your pallet. Overall, I enjoyed this place and will be back. Now if your thinking should you go try... please go try because you won't be disappointed!!"
"I have been hearing amazing reviews about this place so I just had to try it out. We ordered the Blaze of Glory because I love spice! I wish I was hungry enough to have tried so many more things off their menu because so many things looked amazing. The staff was friendly and they had a little mixup but they were kind and quickly fixed it! The ramen was not as spicy as I thought it was going to be but it still had a good level. I understand that most people do not like very intense spice so this is more of a me issue. The chashu was amazing. Some of the best ive had in Minnesota. Honestly could've added on multiple pieces. The egg was well cooked, the toppings were great, and I loved all the scallions. While this wasn't my favorite bowl of ramen of all time, it was pretty damn good. We finished all of it and left very satisfied. Can't wait to come back here and try more things off their menu!!!!"
"Ichiddo is located in the small HarMar strip mall. Lots of food delivery pickups so it must be popular, which is surprising to me since I like to eat my ramen freshly prepared. Maybe people are getting the other items on the menu.I had the #1 ramen with roasted pork belly, half a soft boiled egg, fish cake and black garlic oil. The noodles were springy and slightly al dente. The pork was fatty and tender. I really enjoyed the broth as well. The karaage was not as good. It looked undercooked and lacked color or seasoning but tasted slightly overdone.I would get the ramen again but not the karaage based on this experience."
"The long awaited ramen place is finally here and the food is not disappointing! The atmosphere is cute with a Japanese decor theme. While the menu isn't huge, it has a little of everything for both novice ramen eaters to veteran ramen connoisseurs (well, almost). The noodles are nicely cooked so that they are slight chewy and not mushy... all the fixings are well thought out. The egg yolk from the ramen is slightly sweet which pairs really well with the flavorful broth for example. The pork is also slightly charred to bring out the smoky flavor. The servers will happily offer forks for the chop-stick challenged, and they can helpful if you are undecided. This place is perfect for the snowy winter of MN!"
"This place was recommended on a "where to eat" video I watched and I walked all around to find it. It's in the food court area closer to Nordstrom, fyi. Crispy Chicken Ramen was perfect for me. For $15 I satisfied my craving for some salted broth with deliciously cooked noodles. The chicken didn't remain crispy for long but paired well with the cabbage and corn. There was 1 tiny piece of fish cake in here too. Taro Boba Milk Tea - sweet treat that paired well. Boba is always refreshing Glad I stopped in!"
"My old roommate and I used to live in the area and I could always count on Ramen Kazama for hearty bowls of love - aka their rich ramen. My go-to there will always be their Tonkotsu Ramen ($15.75) which comes with chashu, bamboo shoots, mushrooms and green onion. The pork bone marrow broth and chashu are both SO good - the best on a MN winter night. Warms you up and is filling too. I've dined-in and also done takeout. It's not usually too busy, so I liked to go their for lunch or order pick-up if I was feeling like watching a show or movie with my meal. You can request Kaedama (extra noodles for $2.25) which is awesome. Reminded me of my time in Japan. The space is small, but cozy. I wouldn't say Ramen Kazama is for big groups, but if you like to dine solo or with your significant other, it's a good space. They offer 5 ramen bowl options and rice dishes. They have small plates too if you're in a snacking mood. I really enjoy their chicken karaage (Japanese fried chicken for $7.95).If you're on the U of M campus near Como, it's in walking distance otherwise I'd suggest parking in the nearby neighborhoods."
"I was on a fun outing with two family members who are teens. We stopped for crepes (which also was reviewed) and since there was no room to sit, we were told we could sit at the adjoining ramen business. We made a full lunch and enjoyed a delish lunch. We started out with edamame and then had an amazing ramen for our main. We all shared and we were practically fighting over the tasty bits of the soup. We were happy eaters and walked away with full belly's!Absolutely def recommend!"
"I had the Char Sui shredded fried ramen, it was raman-ish, it was good, I like raman.Out of all the many restaurants on this block all right next to each other, this place has by far the best ambiance. But I really like the bahm mi sandwiches at the end of the block. Skip the Cajun and Chinese place."
"Oh my gosh the Lo Mein and chicken wings were what I got and they were INCREDIBLE!!! The service was super fast and the food was delicious. I loved the atmosphere and the staff were incredible"
"Service is a little slow, but a nice atmosphere and servers are nice That have AYCE Sushi on select items and you fill it out on a paper form, from 2pm-close Sushi is tasty but sometimes the topping sauce overpowers the overall taste of the fish Definitely recommend if you are looking for some eats around the UMN campus area in East Bank"
"Considering I was here on their first day, I would call it excellent. The service was a little slow, but not bad. The restaurant is bright and clean. The food was very good and filling. I did a build your own bowl, it was super easy, and you had a ton of choices. I would love some spicier sauces though. I will be back for the ramen for sure!"
"This is a great hidden spot for Ramen. Inside a strip mall by the Cub foods. The decor us adorable and you can sit right at the counter top and slurp your meal or in a private booth/room.Definitely try the Ramen and and appetizer. Our favorites were the Ying yang bowl- which is half pork and half shrimp Ramen; Tonkatsu Ramen bowl; shrimp tempura app, chili garlic damage and purple sweet potato cake- lite/airy/ sweet. Would like to come in a group to share allergies and have an experience. They take reservations, but wasn't necessary on a weeknight for us."
"I was craving a poke bowl and gave up to go eat sushi.... When I walked in I saw they had a poke bowl !!!!They made it to go for me and even customized it adding some Krab salad to it!!They were very patient making what I asked for..... and it was amazing!!!"
"The sushi was excellent. I tried several of the usual rolls like Alaska and Philadelphia and they were very well done. I had a couple of the fancier rolls and they are quite a meal. Overall this is a very good sushi place. I did notice that couples say side by side here and not across from each other."
"Hidden culinary gem in albertville Mn of all places. I'd eat off the floor on here the entire place is spotless. food and service are top notch! this is what this community needs are more gems like Ton Ramen where service is standout and the food speaks for itself. come check em out. we lovvvvvve this place."
"Starting first at Kyuramen! the beginning of a sssssooooo Special " girls-night-out" style mom and elder daughter AMAZING night/ special time together starting here at Kyuramen in EAGEN then going to the beginning night of the Halloween Pumpkin Spectacular at the Minnesota Zoo... first time ever!We were walked to a Japanese style tatami feeling booth/ room. This cozy intimate space with table and 4 chairs was curtained off in the front with Japanese curtains BOLDLY imprinted with Japanese art/letters/ symbols. The furniture nice clean simple lines modest oak chairs and table. Just perfect! The menu was extensive and quite wonderful. My daughter had their famous egg dish Omurice ( see video) which she loves loves. I had a perfect pork based extremely delicious ramen dish with The broth had no " instant/ high MSG" packed soup flavor. It was definitely slow cooked and simmered with excellent ingredients and seasoning. THIS is rare at a Ramen restaurant- - most are too tempted to cut time and budget by adding instant soup mixes loaded with too much of everything and missing the flavor from soup broth slowly stewing with real beef, pork. And the natural deliciousness of natural beef and pork fat stewing slowly for hours. At most ramen restaurants I rarely finish the bowl - - eat maybe 1/3-1/2. That night I FINISHED the whole bowl and loved the broth so much I packed it and a tiny amount of noodles to go! Crazy. And my great uncle immigrated from Japan in 1886, grandparents in 1900, so I grew up with genuine delicious home made Japanese food.Kyuramen was the Best ramen I have had in a long time, in several states!"
"I'm glad I came here. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere was wonderful. I loved how clean the place was. I ordered a hot sake, Takoyaki and the Niku Soba with extra toppings of black fungus, enoki mushrooms and a half boiled egg. Both so delicious! If I didn't drink all that sake and half the water, I would have emptied the bowl. The broth was soooooo delicious! I felt so bad when I couldn't take another spoonful of the broth after eating all the noodles and toppings 10/10 recommend!!!"
"One of my favorite spots in Rochester! The all you can eat menu is HUGE and the food is so fresh and well prepared. The service is good, the restaurant is clean and the prices are fair. It's my go to sushi joint in Rochester!"
"We have gotten Kataki 3 times now and WOW I'm so impressed with their sushi! I hadn't heard of it until my brother visited from out of town and suggested it and now it's one of our favorite places. The quality is amazing and the sushi is fresh and unique.I've never sat in the restaurant so I can't speak to the ambiance - we have only ever gotten take out. However we have ordered by calling and have never had any problems with the order or service when we pick up.We have tried multiple rolls including the Spicy Girl Roll, Sexy Girl roll, and Kataki roll. Everything has been delicious and I can't choose a favorite! Also don't sleep on the stir fry ramen, it's delicious. Get the chicken! I've tried the steak one as well and they're both amazing."
"Delicious! Went here and got a tonkotsu ramen and chicken karaage and they were both yummy! Forgot to take a pic of the chicken because I dove right in but the pieces were huge and can be a meal in itself. It was very flavorful and juicy. The ramen was also yummy! It's been hard to find good ramen here for some reason and this one seems to hit the spot. There's a decent amount of food and a good chunk of pork. The egg was truly soft boiled and delicious. The broth is flavorful. Tip, mix everything before you eat it. I love the garlic in there as well!! Will definitely come back!!"
