"The food is one thing to talk good about it, but the service is even better!!! The vibe also just makes it so great!"
"Stopped here after a Vikings game and SO glad we did! Had the Elote pizza, and even after forgetting to add the carnitas, this may have been the best pizza I have ever had! SOOOO good! The ingredients were SO fresh! Every flavor contributed perfectly! The roasted corn, cilantro, scallions and jalpenos - perfection! The crust was perfect! Best thing I've had since we moved here. We ate at the bar and service was excellent. We will definitely be back!"

"Wow- this was not what I expected. This place looks mostly a Bar environment but the food menu was surprising with a variety of options! I arrived soon before 5pm and only a couple of booths were full. Within 5 min, all tables/booth & bar were filled! The prices on entrees seemed a little steep for the dive it appeared to be. I ordered the green Thai plate & it was delicious. The bartender recommend it. There were many Thai inspired options; again, not something I was expecting in this bar. Service was also great! I'm not sure what is comparable in the area but I'll be back for another visit."
"Always delicious! Friendly and attentive staff. Wonderful assortment of house made BBQ sauces and the tots are the bomb dot com!"
"Reserved a high top for 4 on Sunday to celebrate my son's 25th b-day. Enjoyed awesome HH specials: 2nd pints for a $1 on all drafts, and cheap apps. Normally HH ends at 5pm, but 3:30p Vikings game kept it going much later. Enjoyed Cajun Steak Bites, State Fair Cheese Curds, Caprese Flatbread, and a killer $10 cheeseburger & fries. Full generous app portions were nice and the discounts were significant. Place was vibrant, with the Vikings game on many large screens throughout. Great attentive service. I highly recommend GN...especially for HH and watching the Vikings through their playoff run."
"Love this neighborhood bar!! Burgers & cheese curds are recommended, and they have trivia night every Wednesday at 7:30 that's a ton of fun! It's not trivia mafia, which is great imo"
"Gluek's is a classic spot downtown for live music and a good drink. The service was friendly. We didn't get food, so I can't comment on that. The vibes were flowin' with the great cover band!"
"We came here before a Timberwolves playoff game, and were so excited to get a table! The energy in this place was really fun - and a great spot to go for a round of drinks before a game downtown. We mainly came to drink, but ended up getting some food here too.We got the watermelon shots that they had on special - they were delish! It took our server a while to get them to us, but it was a super busy night. We got the following for food:3/5 Chicken caesar wrap - served without any caesar or dressing, so it was dry4/5 Bacon cheeseburger - good classic burger5/5 Fries with ranch - delicious crispy fries with perfect restaurant ranch4/5 Free popcorn! Super salty, but a great add for the table while we drankNothing crazy or super special, but a nice cozy spot with tons of seating for before a game our outing downtown!"
"We chose a random restaurant with burgers and they did not disappoint. We almost left because of the prices despite the food being pretty basic. $17 for a chicken wrap is bizarre, but we took a chance. Also a little odd that there weren't waffle fries, but they definitely made up for it with those fries that look like they've been in grease that's seen it all and fried some of everything, those fries are friggin delicious! And their ranch sauce, I'd literally drink it. I got two to go. And I don't even dip my fries in ranch! But I had no idea what else to eat it with so the fries were the winner and it didn't disappoint. Our host was awesome and patient, but also on it. We went around 4 and it was pretty empty so it was quiet, it was also a Thursday evening so it made sense. It started picking up I would say around 7ish. They did turn on the fire place which was nice. We unintentionally sat under the tv and noticed about halfway through that it was pretty dusty. I feel like that should be dusted, but I guess a little extra flavor never hurt anyone. My Baja burger, lemonade, and side of fries came up to around $27. The burger was pretty good, but not really memorable."
"Had the bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was fantastic. Love the classic old bar. Great place."
"It is shameful how much I like this place. It is an understated, neighborhood spot that sits squarely in the local, almost dive-bar genre. The combination of pretty stiff drinks, weekday beer specials and the consistently available $9 Beer and Jameson bump (shot) are superseded only by the Happy Hour deals (M-F, 3p-6p and M-Th, 11p-1p; 1/2 off taps, wines, wells and apps), pretty awesome pub style food, and Wednesday evening Wingo (whiskey bingo)!Walking in always gives me pause because of the combination of day drinkers, tattoo heavies, and misfits gathered around which I don't feel a strong sense of identity with. However, I love that everyone in the place is always lively and having a good time and I always feel welcome as does everyone I see that walks in.The rotating taps are great but what I really like here are some of the menu items. The kitchen does well in the area of the fried food arts. Pickles, chicken strips, cheese curds and wings are all solid choices made even better during happy hour pricing but the real guilty pleasure for me are the Tater Tots. I really try to adhere to low carb foods but the damn Tots here are my downfall. You can get them plain but a pro-tip is to spring for the extra buck and they will season them with garlic, sriracha or truffled salt. Well worth it as a guilty pleasure. The burger choices, sandwiches and other pub like food selections are solid and I haven't eaten anything here that has led to regret. For the food, drink and atmosphere it is a solid 4-star spot as a dive bar but I must add the 5th one simply due to those friggin' Tots."
"Great service. Great ambiance, Clean everywhere including the well taken care of restrooms. I stopped for a Bloody Mary on a Sunday morning but hope to be back for a meal sometime."

I thought I had reviewed this place but I can't seem to find it. Brunsons is one of the best pubs in the Twin Cities. I've been here many times and will be there many times in the future! Their food is top notch, they have an outstanding happy hour, but their customer service is out of this world best I've ever experienced in the state.I highly recommend this place for anyone!

Nice waitress, good service. Food needs help. Pretzel B+. Walleye strips a bit disappointing. Wrong coating. Lighter breadcrumb better. Fries just bland. My local place in Chicago uses these https://www.store2doordirect.com/product/frozen-big-c-3-8-straight-cut-coated-french-fries-6-4-5-lbs/Way better: instant competition for the waffle fries at Maxwell's.

Yesterday tried for the first time. Nice casual bar feel. Really great soup (a Thai green curry). Very excellent, friendly waitress. Only disappointed when check arrived, I specifically ordered a bowl of soup, $7 on the menu, and a dinner salad, also $7 on the menu. I was charged $14 for "order 2" but then an extra $3 for a bowl. Huh? I didn't say anything about it because I was with a friend, didn't want to make a fuss but I should have asked anyway.

Smokey's is a restaurant you shouldn't drive by. The staff is nice and the owner is out making jokes and making sure everything is good. Taco Tuesday is our favorite. They have a great variety of tap beer and they don't have one bad thing on the menu. The bar is big and they have plenty of high tops.

What a wonderful hidden gem in Minnetonka! I had been seeing this place all over social media, so when a foodie friend invited me here I said yes right away! I can't comment on pricing since she covered me, but the service was pretty speedy for a busy restaurant - plus the server let us know almost everything here is fresh and made to order! This place has a very warm and woody, neighborhood-tavern vibe. This is definitely a spot I'd want to spend the day watching a game here, or meeting a group for dinner. To Drink: I had a delicious spicy margarita and a nice glass of Chardonnay. The star of the show though is their Chai Martini if you love a rich, sweet, dessert-y beverage. They have a full bar, so you can really get anything here.To Eat:STATE FAIR CHEESE CURDS: A MUST, especially if you're with a group. Nothing out of the ordinary, but they really were the perfect cheese curds.ASADA BOWL: This was the dish I definitely saw myself ordering if I was just getting myself a meal! The steak was cooked perfectly and the whole bowl was packed with flavor. A perfect "burrito bowl".SHRIMP TACOS: Another fantastic dish that I could see myself ordering. These were spicy and refreshing at the same time, I couldn't get enough.GOUDA MAC: If you like rich and creamy pasta, this is a MUST! So smokey and delicious, I couldn't stop taking bites here!PRIME RIB EGG ROLLS: These were very rich and heavy, not my cup of tea but objectively they are flavorful and tasty!AHI TUNA CRISPS: I expected these to be more like tuna nachos, but it's more like marinated pieces of Tuna. Super fresh and yummy!LOBSTER ROLL: Again, this just wasn't my taste, but if you like a cold lobster roll I think you would really enjoy it!BURGER: We tried one of their weekly burgers, it was a funky mix of brie cheese and french onions on the burger and it was tasty!

Stopped in Pat's Tap after the wait at Hola Arepa was far too long. We opted to sit right at the bar, though there were several tables open. The bartender was great--friendly, helpful, attentive. I got the Pats Burger and my partner got the fried chicken sandwich. Honestly, it was just solid bar food. The burger was tasty, perhaps a bit well done for my taste and the chicken was spot on. Both of us thought the fries were crispy and salty!

Sorry I didn't review it in 2023. Went back a few days ago, and the walleye was great, as was last year's Friday cod fish fry. But this visit was even more appreciated as the rain threw me off my game, and after a wrong turn here and a "closed for private party" there I was getting frustrated, so Gluek's felt like Cheers. The beer cheese soup was fun, more of a beer element than usual. The young waiter was outstanding, providing prompt service as well as a great discussion of State Fair cuisine.

Came to Lyons pub for dinner as it was directly next to our hotel and we weren't super hungry. It's definitely a fun vibe in this pub and the decorations are pretty neat. We were able to seat ourselves and then a server came over with menus. We ordered the soup and salad and sandwich and soup combos. I ordered the beer cheese soup and a house salad. Sadly I have to say this may be the worse beer cheese soup I have ever had in my life. It was topped off with popcorn which honestly was the only edible part. The beer cheese soup was extremely salted and filled with skin as if it kept being cooked and reheated. It was inedible. My salad was great though. My boyfriend ordered the Rueben and beer cheese soup. He was able to eat a bit of the soup but agreed it was horrible. He ate his entire sandwich as he said it was delicious however it would've been better if they toasted the bread fried. There is even a door that connects directly to our hotel so you don't need to walk outside in the cold which was pretty cool. We would probably come back as the pricing is fair and on the cheaper side and just stick to anything but the soup. Our server was great but she was definitely busy running around. No complaints there as she was efficient and always checking in on us.

"Came on a Monday night and there was a decent crowd. They had lots of TVs showing MNF. Turns out they offer discounts on burger's every Monday, so I got the juicy lulu (they're version of the juicy lucy). The burger was a decent size and oozing with melty cheese. My only complaint is that the burger was cooked more well done than medium, but that didn't stop me fro devouring it. Love that they give unlimited popcorn at your table. Definitely worth checking out this spot if you're in the area."
"It's a great little neighborhood bar! The dark ambiance is of the cozy variety, and the staff are willing to help out (even if you do show up with a large group--just tip generously, okay?).The drinks were normal and the food was solid bar fare. I'd swing by Sweeney's again!"
"Me and my stopped in because we both were craving a burger and drink after a day at work... and I must say it was an excellent find. The inside of the pub was very relaxed and comfortable-plus the entire staff (both waite staff and bartenders) were all very friendly and inviting. We were both excited to see that the special that night was a $9 cheeseburger and fries both of which were really good and a very generous portion. The beer menu constantly changes, but they had an orange Creamsicle cider, which was very refreshing .If you are in the area weather visiting or stopping in for a game I recommend stopping in."
"Pub 500 has once again put together a delicious and efficient breakfast buffet for my riders on Mnbeerbus's Oktoberfest buses. We have been using them for 15+years and have never had an issue. The drinks are awesome too."
"I hesitate to update my review because, selfishly, I don't want my Whistle Binkies to get overrun with new fans. But honestly, this place deserves all the love. Their menu is huge, but there are a few standout items that are so good they'll ruin you for overpriced fancy meals forever.Let's talk favorites: the stir fry and the oriental salad. Both are massive--like, bring-a-friend massive--and absolutely crave-worthy. But the real star? That Bloody Mary with their special spicy vodka. I'm not exaggerating when I say I dream about it. If it were socially acceptable to start every morning with one, I would. Whistle Binkies, don't ever change. Or get too crowded."
"Food was great! Those Brussel Sprouts and Loaded Mashed potatoes were on point!!! Tuna was beautiful! Service was wonderful."
"Food and FunWhile visiting my brother in Minneapolis, we happened upon Town Hall Lanes. We planned on bowling then finding a place to eat dinner. We arrived and surprisingly had to walk through a restaurant to get to the lanes. Considering that they were clearly a restaurant too we looked at the menu as we prepped for a late afternoon bowlapalooza. We found several items on the menu that looked good, ordered them then proceeded to bowl. The service was fast and polite, the food was way better than we expected for a bowling alley so we ordered more and nixed dinner plan in favor of a longer bowling outing. The atmosphere is equal parts modern conveniences, elegance and decadence mixed with vintage bowling ally. It's artfully styled. The menu was definitely built on the idea of old bowling alley convenience food but it's curated and elevated both in flavor and appearance to match the exacting standards society has for gastro pubs. We enjoyed our time at Town Hall Lanes if was both fun and sated our dinner cravings. Town Hall Lanes was not crowded, parking was easy and ample. The prices were reasonable and the food was really good. We enjoyed the care that THL gives to every aspect of a customers experience. If you're in the area it's an easy all inclusive night out."
"My boyfriend and I stopped in here for some appetizers and were pleasantly surprised. The pub has the perfect in between feel. You could go for a nice evening out, or a casual lunch/appetizer date on a Wednesday afternoon like we did. We sat down and were greeted immediately by the bartender, Ben. He was definitely our style. He didn't bother us while we were eating or talking but was always aware in case we needed something. All we had to do was look his direction and he was on it. If we did want to talk he was all about it. I love staff who are able to read the energy and match it! We obviously had to order Cajun Dry-Rub Wings and Cheese Curds. If we weren't having a great time already, these sealed the deal. The wings were REALLY good. I've had a lot of bar wings and these are definitely up there. The curds too...Wow. I also decided to have a Blue Mule cocktail and it was incredible. I am not a fan of drinks that taste like the alcohol they contain. I didn't have that problem at Stout's. Another bonus? They give you a little mug filled with extra crispy potato chips. That's my type of place. It's not like they have much competition because it was really the only food place we could find nearby, but even if it wasn't this is where we'd want to be."
"Acadia was not my first choice. When walking by the establishment, it looked dingy. Some of the U of M students told me it was a cool, dive pub but I thought it looked like it should be shut down. My friends walked right in, so like the rats did with the Pied Piper, I followed. Awwwwwww.... okkkkkk... now I get it. There is construction going on next door and the prep and mess from the construction is what made it look like a dilapidated, vacated place. Inside was the cool, dive pub the students promised.Grabbed a menu, ordered at the bar and sat ourselves. Lots of great beer options as well as mixed drinks. At our table we ordered burgers, spinach salads, grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches and chili. No complaints. Tasty and delicious. We visited during lunch. They piped-in eclectic music but I saw they had a stage towards the back for live entertainment. 4 stars out of 5 because the waitress was upset about something and when we needed her assistance to clean the tables, she took a soaked rag, wiped it down and left us with puddles of water. We took napkins to wipe and dry the table as well as set it up and put everything back in place. I could mention a few other disappointing things but I'm gonna forego the negative vibes and stress the overall pleasant atmosphere and lunch."
"Nice pre-show casual spot to grab some grub and a brew. The Cuban sandwich was good. The pork was perfectly cooked. Tasted really good on its own. Somehow, in the sandwich, there was a flavor or sauce missing. Maybe it needed more mustard or cheese. Definitely upgrade to the fries for your sandwich! So perfectly crispy and delicious! Of note- can't bring leftovers into the theater."
"I've been to this Lucky's 13 quite a few times and find it a solid choice when you want somewhere with good drinks, and a menu that offers something for everyone. First off, the atmosphere: Warm ambience but tends to be loud. I've been here for breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. Dinner or weekends when there is a big game on it gets loud and crowded. Great way to be around people and watch a game or bring some friends or family for a meal and catch up on the week. They also have a beautiful patio outside and, even in the cold months, has beautiful lighting and a fireplace! They also offer free popcorn inside which is SO tasty and goes great with a beer!.Breakfast is nice and quiet but offers a nice menu and some tasty Bloody Mary options as well. My favorite is the BLT Bloody Mary. A little BLT with a Bloody Mary... Yummy! They also offer a Bloody Mary Flight which is fun. Their breakfast choices are terrific with everything from omelettes, Benedicts, Hashes, and great French toast options! Great place for breakfast!Their burgers are decent but my son reported yesterday when he had a Juicy Lucy that the beef should be better seasoned. We've tried many of their appetizers from their homemade L13 keg-style tots (pretty good), to their nachos, Frickles (fried pickles) and wings. They have a great menu for burgers and sandwiches, some entree style foods, and soups and salads. Everything consistently has come out hot and fresh in my experience. Finally the Service. I have consistently been impressed with the service. Very efficient but also friendly. When it's busy they work well together to run food or grab plates etc. My only area of complaint (as a shorter person) is the ratio of high-top tables to regular tables. They have SO many high tops and for people who are shorter, heavier, or older that can be a real problem. For me, I can get up into the seat, but my legs go numb pretty quick so the seating choices become a bit more limited.Lucky's is a really nice place and a great option when you want a warmer atmosphere and a menu with lots of tasty options."
"Excellent food & grog at a classy (for Rochester) pub-style eating house. It seemed like everyone was happy with their food choices from a pretty extensive menu. The on-tap list is as long as your arm. Kudos to our waitress Jamie who almost single-handedly served about 75 people at our "cousins reunion." She is a professional - a server that takes the challenge seriously and takes pride in her expertise. Outstanding service!"
"We like to take the kids to Stillwater and buzz around for a few hours and have a meal before heading back to the city. We recently had lunch at Charlie's for the first time. The food was pretty basic pub fare. We had burgers and fries, and a beer or two. While not the greatest food ever, it did the job. The service was pretty good. We came during a bit of a rush and our server was running laps to keep up, but did their best. We sat in the covered patio area in the back, which I liked because we looked out over the river. It had an "on vacation" vibe to it that I really enjoyed."
"We came here for dinner on a weekend. It was only maybe half-full so we were able to get seated right away. Our server was nice but she kept coming back to ask us what we ordered. Normally I wouldn't mind but it happened first with the drinks, then the app, then the entrees.. I have compassion for her. However, she could've had a notepad or something to write orders down? Then another server brought out our food, and we had finished eating and I had to flag down our server to ask for boxes and a check. Like we didn't see our server at all during the time we were eating our food and we had to wait a while to spot her to ask her for boxes and a check. Maybe they were unstaffed that day, but it was weird and worth mentioning.I'm giving three stars because of the food. Everything was fine but not good or great. These are edible dishes but not ones we would order again and especially not for the price point!Chips and queso - chips seemed to be fried in house, which was cool. The queso was delivered room temp and we could still see whole pieces of shredded cheese on top of the dish. it was fine once mixed in properly but still was only room temp.Beef barbacoa grilled cheese - sounded sooo good on the menu! By the time it got to my table, the grease and oils from the beef had soaked into the bread. I picked it up and the whole thing fell apart. Also the beef was really fatty to the point where many bites were unappetizing and had to be discretely spit out.My partner ordered one of the fried chicken sandwiches. He said it was bland and dry, but otherwise tasted fine. He said he wouldn't order it again."
"This is a MUST STOP for awesome food, cold beer and friendly service. It also has a great atmosphere and I rated it 5 stars as the service, food, drinks, atmosphere and value. All around an awesome experience that doesn't happen to often in this day and age. Thank you to Mogie the Moose for his excellent service and fantastic attitude. As Arnold said in the Terminator; "We'll be back!""
"Classic country club ambiance with starters to die for and entrees that only suffice. This place obviously caters to the quick snack and drink needs for golfers and community get-togethers, but as walk-ins for just food we were very welcomed. Getting to the dining area will require a short stroll to the "back" of the clubhouse. Ambiance is fine indoors, but we really enjoy the summer evening breeze overlooking the green. Appetizers and some specialty (non-alcoholic) drinks 5/5The Cajun chicken soup is amazing and the wedge salad was delicious. Entrees were maybe 2-3/5The wick burger was very very plain and slightly over done for my liking. The fish tacos were also quite average and the portion wasn't as large as you'd think. Those who served us (there was a few) all did a great job. Seems like they hire young people from the community and train them well. They were prompt and polite and did so with a smile. I would recommend the visit if you're nearby and want some casual/comfortable sit down dining. Prices are not great, but were reasonable. Think $17-22 per person range."
"I think the lumberyard pub deserves a better rating on Yelp. We stopped by because of Afton's strawberry festival. The weather is hot and the patio is nicely shaders we were sitting right away and got sit in front of the lawn game area and the live music. The food was Nicely presented l. We shared a Chicago style dog, chicken salad. My parents ordered pub burger and egg salad sandwiches. They liked it. We enjoyed the onion rings. The kids ordered cheese quesadillas and chicken fingers. It's a typical pub food, but it was nicer than all the reviews I saw on Yelp and was surprised to read theirs reviews. The server did forget my lemonade and wish they could come more frequent to refill my water. It is a hot day, so I did drink a lot. Hence taking off one star."
"I love this place. It literally is a hidden gem in Chanhassen. It has a simplistic menu, but it's great for lunch or dinner. We spent countless summer evenings on the patio making sure to try everything on the menu. And we did! There wasn't a single thing on the menu that wasn't delicious. The service has always been great. It's a VERY casual restaurant, so overall expectations should be average. My ultimate favorite on the menu is the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. I could eat that every day. Highly recommend."
"The beer was cold, the food was hot, the patio was clean. It was a perfect stop for our date night dive bar tour de northern suburbs. Friends were made, people were watched and beer was drank. The highlight was the cleanliness of the outdoor space. The good folks at Boulevard do NOT leave it to the birds."
"Awesome daily homemade soups. The staff are always happy and energetic. Stop in and check out the Bo Diddley's and the other great businesses at this little mall in Eden Prairie / Bloomington."
"Friendly neighborhood Irish Pub where Rosemount locals come to eat and socialize! Dark, musical, friendly, and traditional. A professional staff with excellent service. The food is made in house and each day brings different specials feom the menu. Their Fish & Chips on Fridays is generally breaded and seasoned to perfection. The spicing varies, which can make the fish better or worse depending on the day. A go to for those in Rosemount and a good pit stop en route to or from the Twin Cities!"
"I've been here a couple of times and had similar experiences both times. The service is a little slow and there can be some strange characters inside. The bar itself is pretty big but they keep the lights so low that it feels dark and smaller than it probably is.They have a decent amount of tap beers and a full bar. Happy hour drink specials are from 9-11 every night which is a great deal on the weekends. The food was better than I expected. We got the Bbq chicken nachos and chicken tenders. Both portions are huge, especially the tenders. They come with 6 giant tenders in the appetizer order. The nachos were piled high with salsa, corn, black beans and chicken. It was really nice that they serve the sour cream and jalapeños on the side because not everyone likes those. If you come during an Ohio state sporting event it will be packed. Apparently it's an Ohio state bar which is fun!"
"Was just here Sunday, had to come back. The food here is delicious. Best batter fried mushrooms ever. The fried haddock also very delicious."
