"This place lives up to the hype! Our party of 5 was surprisingly seated right away on a Saturday evening, but I do recommend making a reservation if possible since it's a busy place! The patio is heated and wonderfully warm. The burrata was a delicious appetizer and our party split 3 pizzas. The mushroom was our favorite! Spicy salami was a close second and the PB&J was great too. There is an extensive wine list to pair with their many offerings. Our waiter was attentive and excellent. Highly recommend this place!"
"Was torn about where to order dinner from on my last night in Minneapolis, and, since I had a craving for pizza, opted for Black Sheep after seeing it recommended a couple times. I can't really speak to the ambience of the restaurant itself (I ordered for delivery via DoorDash), but the pizza didn't really impress me. Maybe my expectations were too high after seeing it recommended multiple times? No idea. Either way, my "build your own" pizza (fennel sausage, feta, golden pineapple, oyster mushrooms, and kalamata olives) + chop salad with dressing on the side arrive pretty promptly... but I was kind disappointed on the cook on the pizza. The middle seemed undercooked, and the crust was way too crunchy (there was none of that "chew" that's so delightful when biting into a well-made, coal-fired pizza). Also, the fennel sausage didn't really seem to have much of any flavor? So sad. Now, maybe the fact that I ordered pineapple on my pizza will mean a good portion of folks dismiss this review entirely (and you know what? #SorryNotSorry ), but the pizza from Black Sheep just didn't live up to the hype I saw online. I had ordered from a different pizza place while in Minneapolis as well, and I should have just ordered from them again. Hindsight is 20/20 though, amirite?"

"Loved it! Friendly staff. Good food. Cool atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. This place has so much more than just pizza!"
"Wood fired. Perfect crust. The sauce is outstanding. Owners are friendly and mentioned people drive from as far away as St. Cloud."
"The food is great. Wonderful homemade soup and pizza by the slice. Our waiter was friendly and made us feel special. Felt like a regular."
"We popped into Red Wagon at an off time and had a great experience. They have a beautiful dining area and plenty of outdoor space too. Since we were pretty much the only diners inside, we had great service and we absolutely loved the 2 super unique pizzas we tried- Bahn Mi and Cuban. The prices are pretty hefty so we won't be here every day, but it'll be in the slightly-fancy rotation for sure."
"Great atmosphere! Peaceful low lighting, modern and clean. We happened to be in the areas to pick up a few things and this place cay eye. The kiddo and I were hungry and, well, it was Friday fun night! The kiddos taste buds are more standard American than mine so we went with Caesar salad and pepperoni & sausage pizza. And ended with 1 scoop of vanilla and pistachio gelato. After ordering, our awesome server brought out a plate with a ball of dough for my son to play with! Coolest kid thing a restaurant could give a kid!! he will probably never be content with a standard restaurant issued crayons and paper again! I could probably go on and on about how awesome that ball of pizza dough was. It totally killed time, waiting for the food and distract us from our hunger. Even I had fun playing with it. And of course, he asked to take it home in which a container, was provided at the end. The staff is great. He helped us narrow down to a regular crust versus deep dish. (And he brought us that dough ball!!!) despite how busy the place seemed, he was on point with checking on us and brought things out quickly..The Caesar salad was a bit lackluster for me. It had some brown leaves in it, which I'm a little bit squeamish about. And just wasn't as flavorful as some housemaid. Caesar dressings I've had elsewhere. It did have incredibly long shaved Parmesan cheese pieces though and my seven year old said it was the best salad he's ever had. The pizza was decent. The pepperoni was perfectly crisp and juicy. And the bits of fresh basil on top helped my more gourmet taste buds enjoy playing on pepperoni and sausage pizza all the more. Being that it's woodfired pizza, it's a given that some of the crust would be charred. Which is OK with me. I'm an oddball that likes a the flavor of things being a little burnt sometimes. And the crust was just the perfect texture and chewable consistency. I can see returning the kiddo... Especially for that pizza dough, ball!"
"Stopped here after a Vikings game and SO glad we did! Had the Elote pizza, and even after forgetting to add the carnitas, this may have been the best pizza I have ever had! SOOOO good! The ingredients were SO fresh! Every flavor contributed perfectly! The roasted corn, cilantro, scallions and jalpenos - perfection! The crust was perfect! Best thing I've had since we moved here. We ate at the bar and service was excellent. We will definitely be back!"
"I could tell by the fact it was bustling that we were in for a special treat on a Saturday morning. However even though it was busy, service was speedy and efficient. All the pastries seemed divine and the biscuit with homemade jelly reminded me of home. They serve a generous side of bacon and the place is overall a filling tasty breakfast spot with delicious drinks as well. Definitely worth popping your head into for either a bag or treats to go or a sit down meal. (Side note very cute atmosphere and cheery vibe complete with a hand painted mural)"
"I learned my lesson of ordering waaay too much food, so this time I got 1/2 Roasted Veggies on ciabatta which was the perfect size with a cup of Three Onion Potato soup. (As is my habit I also got a salad to have for lunch the next day.) The sandwich's roasted veggies are plentiful and I needed a fork to get it to a size where I could pick it up, and still some veggies slid out. It was a deliciously messy sandwich, which is the best kind! Flavorful, toasted bread and a generous portion of roast onions, peppers, shallots, and more. The Three Onion Potato soup was thick and packed with flavor. The onions were not detectable except by flavor, meaning they must be puréed into the potatoes and the result is delightful. The Florentine salad is spinach with orzo, sun-dried tomatoes, kalmata olives, roasted onions and more. Pine nuts add a nice crunch and goat cheese add creaminess. The balsamic vinaigrette was perfect on it and a small was a perfect size for lunch the next day. I'm getting hungry just writing this review of Zuppa's mouthwatering food!"
"Meatballs, lasagna and chicken parm are all winners here. Also enjoyed the chemistry wine (Pinot noir) which I came back for! Service is always great, a host of regulars can be found on any given night. Cozy and inviting we will continue to come back for the same great food and service."
"I went there for the first time on 1/20/23!its a great place to eat for lunch!I had a 1/2 meatball sandwich with chips Lunch special #14its was very delicious!Lots of cheese and yummy meatballs!I will go back there again and try their pasta!!"

Found parking down the street at a meter and walked several blocks. The wait list during peak hours went by fast. During peak hours it gets loud, but not too loud so that you can't have a conversation. I was able to have a conversation just fine. The drink list is very lengthy. There is what I believe to be a coffee martini. It was unique. Spaghetti is what I was craving, so spaghettis is what I ordered. Jazzed it up with a little chili flakes and it turned out perfect. I will def return.

Ambiance: Safe, quaint location. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great for families. Service: everyone was pleasant and ordering is efficient with food coming out quick. Food: Pizza was great. I loved the sauce and ended up purchasing a few jars to go. The choices of appetizers and desserts were vast. We ordered the mozz sticks, breaded mushrooms and eggplant and all were delicious. Cannoli, ice cream and chocolate mousse were all great as well.Overall a great experience, pleasant staff that all seemed to work very good together and all with a smile and genuine greeting and thanks for visiting their restaurant.

A snowstorm couldn't keep me from trying Mama's Pizza. I saw the recent post noting "Mama's Pizza as one of the 100 best pizzas in the USA!" Got to give it a try and it's close by. Hadn't heard about it them prior but like my Mom, she isn't one to call a lot of attention to herself. Called in a take out order and was handled professionally and pleasantly. 30+ mins later I am on my way to pick up my order. I arrived on schedule despite the weather. What a cute little spot on the corner!I was greeted by a lovely lady, Mama?, who was happy to see me. I gave her my name and shared that I was a first time customer. Her co-worker, a gentleman, heard that and promptly rewarded me with a candy bar from out of thin air. So kind! We chatted, laughed and shared some history. She warned me about potential cheese slide and how to prevent it from happening. A truly classic MN small town type of warm welcome and interaction. It's the type of experience that makes you want to come back again even before trying the food. The pizza! The crust was thin and crisp. Lots of cheese, no slide issues, all nicely melted. Square cut pizza slices. The toppings were plentiful and the sauce was perfect in quantity. The flavors came together in a truly satisfying taste - old school, classic pizza! My wife thought they were a bit too generous with the cheese, I disagree. The sauce had great flavor, not too sweet. I really enjoyed this pizza and the whole experience. I will definitely be back.

I placed an order for pick up. I have a kiddo in tow, and she is sick and only wants PIzza. We get there and the order isn't even in the queue to be made. Ok that's not super bad, it's pizza, lasagna, a sandwich and some bread. We order something to drink while we wait. We are sitting there quite a while waiting for our pizza. The guy is very apologetic. I get it, it's a small place and they are soing dine in and take out, it's a lot. We get home with our pizza, lasagna, sandwich and breads. the food is ok. Maybe it's that I had to reheat it since it's winter in MN, but it wasn't as good as I remembered it. We also got some gelato that was probably everyones favorite thing. the place is super cute and the service is rustic is feeling. they seemed to have some fun beers in cans. I would go in vs take out especially if it requires reheating.

A really cute place with really good pizza! My bf and I decided to share an appetizer and pizza together so we got the cipollini mascarpone cheese dip for our shareable and it was divine. You also get more complimentary bread so we got more since you get soo much cheese dip. For the pizza we got the paisano, which is a pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage. The pizza was extremely good and almost too much food for us but we managed to finish (: The waitress was so nice and extremely helpful throughout our entire experience, making conversation with everyone she served. Defiantly worth the dinner!

Nice waitress, good service. Food needs help. Pretzel B+. Walleye strips a bit disappointing. Wrong coating. Lighter breadcrumb better. Fries just bland. My local place in Chicago uses these https://www.store2doordirect.com/product/frozen-big-c-3-8-straight-cut-coated-french-fries-6-4-5-lbs/Way better: instant competition for the waffle fries at Maxwell's.

"When we moved to Minneapolis, we had multiple people tell us to check out Boludo. Honestly, I'm mostly disappointed in how long it took me to go! I went solo, but should have brought a group so I could try more things! They had a small indoor seating area that was nicely air conditioned, and a great patio with a handful of tables. I ordered an empanada with corn and the Sarandara pizza. Honestly, I was expecting a personal-sized pizza and when it came out, I was blown away! The empanada was cheesy, crusty goodness -- you can tell from the picture! And the sauce that came with it was reallly good, lots of fresh herbs and a little spice. But the pizza -- omg. The melty cheese, the soft, chewy crust. It fed me for multiple meals and I was very happy about that. Order at the counter, service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back!"
"My friend and I decided to get some end of night pizza and this was open at the time. The place itself was decent but definitely wasn't the best pizza joint I've been to. The people working were incredibly friendly. Ended up getting 4 separate slices...the mac and cheese one was unique and I think the best of the bunch."
"I was visiting from California and was craving pizza and google it and I was close to Parkway Pizza and said let's try it. The pizza was alright. I had better but I enjoyed it and hubby too The service was wonderful the sweet lady had a smile on her face and answered all my questions and made sure we had what we wanted. The place is also a bar as I see and you can get ice cream too. Has a cool decor around. It has no parking but it's easy to park on the streets.."
"Hope approved! Deemed Best cheese pizza EVER for a 7 yr old, And grandma likes the sausage pizza too. Get the lunch special, a good deal. The Cashier and pizza guy could not be more helpful and friendly. Thank you!!! Hopes pizza was cut up onto 1" squares perfect for her to eat."
"Cassie M was the best server I have ever had, absolutely incomparable to any other waiters. Other restaurants wish they had the absolute workforce that Cassie is, thank you so much Cassie."
"If the weather is nice, run! don't walk over to the Rosalia patio. It is by far one of the best outdoor spaces for afternoon cocktails and conversations. Even if you aren't a pizza fan, their dips and other appetizers are perfect companions to their craft cocktails. Order the three dips (hummus, baba ganoush, carrot tahina with peanut harissa) to have a little bit of everything. My one cocktail critique is ice. They use crushed ice, which overtakes the drinks, especially when sitting outside. Order them with light ice!"
"I was staying at this location for a few days. I ended up eating here three nights. The ambience is perfect, there's a lot of plants, a very green space with soft lighting and the entire lobby/restaurant area. Very pleasant. It's a large space with plenty of seating, to include the bar area.My first impression was awful, due to a very rude bartender. I had to come down to pick up food I had ordered, because there was no one at the host stand for sometime. I made my way to the bar. A very tall male bartender turned to me, and I explained I was here to pick up food, before I could finish my sentence he cut me me off, told me he'd help me in a minute and turn back towards the register to input his tips. I took a seat at the bar, he never returned to help me.I ended up having a friend meet me at the bar and having my food there. Had it not been that the pasta was so good I would not have returned to eat the next couple nights. But honestly, he was so short and rude towards me that it made me wonder if I had offended him in someway. I don't think I did, as my interaction with him was so brief.Everything I had here was good, except for the olive tapenade. It just wasn't to my liking., But that's just my personal taste, perhaps. I also thought the pizza was just OK. Nothing crazy.I definitely stick with the pasta, and recommend the shrimp pasta, which is unfortunately the only one I didn't take a picture of. I would avoid the very tall male bartender. You should not expect faster service if you're sitting at the bar, I'm always patient in the sun, so I'm not taking any stars off for that experience. I just really think that the bartender could do better with interacting with guests."
"My buddy and I searched Yelp for a good place to have happy hour before the Metallica concert on a Friday night at US Bank Stadium, where the Vikings play.EaTo is a few blocks from the stadium and was pretty empty at 4:15 when we got there, but when we left, it was pretty full. I noticed the had a nice bar that was seated outside. Our waitress was very nice and I ordered the $5 IPA, a nice craft beer. I also ordered the $8 pepperoni small pizza and my buddy and I decided to split an order of the happy hour wings. The food came out pretty fast, while I ordered another IPA. The pizza had lots of crispy curled up pepperoni, my favorite. The crust was thin, yet fluffy and fantastic and just the right amount of cheese. The wings had a rub instead of sauce and they were good size. The dipping sauce made them "Wingalicious"Great place for a Friday happy hour!"
"Had the bacon cheeseburger and fries and it was fantastic. Love the classic old bar. Great place."
"Detellos is the go-to pizza place in our neighborhood! Locally owned with very kind people working there, service is always top notch. Reasonable prices and most of all we love the pizza! One of the few places in town I don't need to request extra cheese on my pizza because it is perfectly cheesy on its own. We usually do the sausage pizza as the sausage they use is delicious with lots of flavor. Always request their "rockstar spices" which give the pizza a nice little flavor boost! Dining in will take you right back to the good old days when pizza places had that old wood panel 80s vibes to their restaurants. Please never change!! Easy parking in the lot out front."
"Chicken dinner was great, crispy and juicy. Husband had the Dagwood sandwich and it was ok, not much meat and kind of on the small side. The Bloody Mary was excellent, they make their own mix. Our waiter server Austin did a great job!! Nice environment with plenty of tv's. Will be back to try the pizza :)"
"This spot is located in a building that has other food spots in it. Food court atmosphere! The pizza was really good, this is a spot to stop by if you're looking for good pizza in downtown Minneapolis!"
"This is our go to pizza place. We LOVE it! Everything we have tried has been incredible. The taco, Ruben, and curd-a-roni are some of our favorites, but you can't go wrong with the dill! They are always fast when we order. We seriously recommend this to all of our friends."
"Great food. Bar atmosphere that does open up a little later at night. Security moves out the cocktail chairs and tables. Overall have never been disappointed when going here. Great staff. If you're an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, this is your Iowa bar in the twin cities. Good drink specials during games and you'll have a good time."
"Food was great service was great and the crowd is awesome nice ambience music playing in the background Mouth watering short ribs of beef meat on a sandwich with smoked gouda and fried green tomatoes with caramelized onions this is the before and after pictures looks so good.... And taste so good"
"Our family loves this place. The pizza is amazing. The salads are too. The variety means everyone is happy and I personally think the seasonal menu is creative and always delicious. The dining area is small but works. You order and pay at the counter. They will bring your food out when prepared. This family of 5 highly recommends you stop and give it a try."
"We popped in for a couple of afternoon beers. We decided to split some food and opted for brussel sprouts. I requested the bleu cheese on the side. Some of the sprouts were a little too done: read: there was black on the leaves. It was good and filling addition to our beers and seltzers. You can order it by QR code but we walked up to the host stand and you have to tell them what your table identifier is. Our food was up promptly. Thanks Tipsy Steer."
"As a native New Yorker, I had to give this spot a try and I gotta say, they definitely got it right! This is the best pizza I have had in Minneapolis bar none. They do not use pork ingredients so, I got a medium pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. The cheese to sauce ratio was a little high, but that's how I like my pizza. Besides the excess of NY ornaments and NY themed decorations, I felt like I was walking into an authentic NY pizza joint. It was clean and pleasant inside however, I did not get the chance to review the condition of the bathroom. They are located in front of a bus stop but parking was doable and there is additional parking in the back of the restaurant. My pie was reasonably priced and ready in the time frame I was given (10-15 min). The service was smooth. This is my official go-to restaurant when I'm craving pizza in Minneapolis."
"Stopped in a few times before hockey games and it is pretty good. I like the loaded tots appetizer, I think it is a nice twist on a classic. Garlic bread is pretty good and nachos were a good amount. The pizza is also just your standard pizza. One thing to note, you cannot order the full menu outside which was fine for us but thought it was kind of weird. Service was good but it can get busy on game days."
"This is a regular go-to place for us. Way better in person than take out.Their chicken sliders are delicious and reliable. But not a fan of their Nashville chicken sandwich. If you're big on Buffalo sauce - this is it for you! The two times I gave it a chance, it ended up a little too soggy and messy. Shrooms and Gouda burger is divine! Also love their salads. Great size portions, and filling. Fries need to be ordered separate, but their truffle fries are WORTH it. Not suuuuuper kid friendly, as it is mostly a bar.. but kids are welcomed. Love the waitstaff, always kind and attentive.Usually super fast service too! Would be a great place to watch a game with a cold beer."
"There used to be a Chatterbox location in St. Paul and I loved it! It was always full of people and a lot of fun to visit. Wanting to relive that experience, I visited this one. The place was nearly empty on a weekend night. Service was great because we were the only ones there. We had a talk with the owner (?) as well when he came over to check on us and see how things were. We did get a neat history of the building and the Chatterbox. The game selection was limited and a lot of the games were pretty beat-up. I may return for an event night, like karaoke, but this was definitely not the same experience as the other location. Food was all right; nothing amazing."
"Take your best friend for happy hour. Mine's a local rapper. He was pretty faded at the table, but he said something interesting. "A pirate is a bandit, but a bandit is not a pirate." We both got personal pizzas, perfect pepperoni ones. Did you know that a bandit was named after the bandanna not the other way around? The fish sandwich at this place is the best on the south side. I'll put it up against that one by the waterfall over there in the park. I waited in line half an hour for one of those last summer. Carbones is never did me wrong. Sometimes the trivia's too loud, but you can't hate on people for having a good time. I've got genuine love for this restaurant. The staff have seen me through multiple relationships. Did you ever notice that every time you break up you think you lost the greatest person you ever had until you meet the next person and then you think "how could I ever meet someone this awesome?" That happens to me every time. And every time when I'm feeling so low, and I can't get my head out of the ground, I come here and I get a Reuben. Some places make them too fancy. Comfort food isn't supposed to be fancy. Comfort food is supposed to be authentic. All we really crave is authenticity in this world of plastic and avatars. I can't wait to go back, but it's two in the morning when I'm writing this. Pizza never did anybody wrong. I think Pizza might be an angel."
"Nova Group hits it out of the park again! I didn't realize that this had opened but we were grabbing a quick dinner before doing an airport drop off and Hazelwood next door (also highly recommended) had too long of a wait. We split the NOVARA DELUXE and a Caesar salad - both were delicious. This is definitely a casual place. The plates almost look paper but are not!The crust and the sauce are absolutely delicious and we will be back!"
