"This place lives up to the hype! Our party of 5 was surprisingly seated right away on a Saturday evening, but I do recommend making a reservation if possible since it's a busy place! The patio is heated and wonderfully warm. The burrata was a delicious appetizer and our party split 3 pizzas. The mushroom was our favorite! Spicy salami was a close second and the PB&J was great too. There is an extensive wine list to pair with their many offerings. Our waiter was attentive and excellent. Highly recommend this place!"
"So just a quick addition to the bread, they have mini sized desserts, so if you ate your feelings but still want something sweet, they have the solution for you!"

"Was torn about where to order dinner from on my last night in Minneapolis, and, since I had a craving for pizza, opted for Black Sheep after seeing it recommended a couple times. I can't really speak to the ambience of the restaurant itself (I ordered for delivery via DoorDash), but the pizza didn't really impress me. Maybe my expectations were too high after seeing it recommended multiple times? No idea. Either way, my "build your own" pizza (fennel sausage, feta, golden pineapple, oyster mushrooms, and kalamata olives) + chop salad with dressing on the side arrive pretty promptly... but I was kind disappointed on the cook on the pizza. The middle seemed undercooked, and the crust was way too crunchy (there was none of that "chew" that's so delightful when biting into a well-made, coal-fired pizza). Also, the fennel sausage didn't really seem to have much of any flavor? So sad. Now, maybe the fact that I ordered pineapple on my pizza will mean a good portion of folks dismiss this review entirely (and you know what? #SorryNotSorry ), but the pizza from Black Sheep just didn't live up to the hype I saw online. I had ordered from a different pizza place while in Minneapolis as well, and I should have just ordered from them again. Hindsight is 20/20 though, amirite?"
"Probably my favorite restaurant in the twin cities right now. Every time I come back I'm left impressed and satisfied. Try any of the dishes with the white sauce. It is so creamy and velvety."
"Comfortable seating on the patio!Mac was our server and I felt I was with a very high maintenance friend! Mac supported her with patience and knelt down to her level when speaking with her.The food no doubt was divine! I enjoyed roasted beet salad. Come on friends don't forget to order your veggies. My pasta was delicious as well. The pasta is placed on a pool of goat cheese fondue and the pasta is topped with their award winning red rabbit Mariana sauce!I must go back and try dessert next!"
"Loved it! Friendly staff. Good food. Cool atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. This place has so much more than just pizza!"
"Wood fired. Perfect crust. The sauce is outstanding. Owners are friendly and mentioned people drive from as far away as St. Cloud."
"The food is great. Wonderful homemade soup and pizza by the slice. Our waiter was friendly and made us feel special. Felt like a regular."
"We tried Luna Di Luna for the first time for a lunch at work. There were three of us and we ordered the family meal of the Ceciliana. When ordering family style you also get the pasta, salad, and bread. If it were just the pasta and salad, I'd be giving it 3 stars but the bread earned a full star by itself. The salad and the ceciliana was nothing special. The marinara for the pasta was very bland but I was surprised that I liked the hot Italian sausage. The bread had delicious seasoning on top. You also get a dipping sauce which I think is an olive oil but more delicious seasoning in it! The bread is the only reason that would bring me back to try a different dish."
"We could not have found a more perfect restaurant! Long time friend flew into MSP and checked into a Roseville hotel, so we looked for convenience as well as a location where conversation would not be drowned out. Our server, Cole, was spot on. There when we needed, but never hovering. So check off great service and equally great ambiance. The food selection didn't disappoint either. Calamari and a wonderfully seasoned fried shrimp were perfect starters with the wine. A bite of focaccia and then our entrees were served. Ooooo the Walleye was superbly presented with asparagus and the Chicken Marsala was in a heavenly sauce. Pricey for us retired folks, but every bite was worth the tab. Summation: Fine Dining"
"Chianti is always Top Notch! Service, ambiance, variety on the menu, and the drink menu. All out of the park. They mix great drinks, portions are great, and service is as good as any of the very high end restaurants I've been to. Prices are great considering this to me is more like a dining experience. Just sayin."
"We had a great experience at ACQUA. We were lucky to get a true lakeside seat on a Sunday. My wife and I had the couples special and the food was amazing. I had corn chowder with the Roasted Chicken Scarpariello entree. My wife had the roasted beets and the Shrimp Scampi. No disappointments. The service was excellent. Highly recommended."

Found parking down the street at a meter and walked several blocks. The wait list during peak hours went by fast. During peak hours it gets loud, but not too loud so that you can't have a conversation. I was able to have a conversation just fine. The drink list is very lengthy. There is what I believe to be a coffee martini. It was unique. Spaghetti is what I was craving, so spaghettis is what I ordered. Jazzed it up with a little chili flakes and it turned out perfect. I will def return.

There was ample parking. It did not take much time before getting seated. The seats were very comfortable. Especially the booth seating. The pizza was amazing. So was the ravioli. It was first time having ravioli in a long time. The waitress was very attentive. The chilli flakes helped jazz up the ravioli.

They have a great happy hour menu. My first visit wasn't very memorable, but I went in December 2024 and really enjoyed the food and service. We got the chicken wings, which had a smokey and savory flavor; the burrata, which was small, but so good; the PB pizza, which I would definitely get again and, the cavatelli, which may have been my least favorite dish, but it wasnt bad. Overall, Id recommend it for happy hour!

Ambiance: Safe, quaint location. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great for families. Service: everyone was pleasant and ordering is efficient with food coming out quick. Food: Pizza was great. I loved the sauce and ended up purchasing a few jars to go. The choices of appetizers and desserts were vast. We ordered the mozz sticks, breaded mushrooms and eggplant and all were delicious. Cannoli, ice cream and chocolate mousse were all great as well.Overall a great experience, pleasant staff that all seemed to work very good together and all with a smile and genuine greeting and thanks for visiting their restaurant.

A snowstorm couldn't keep me from trying Mama's Pizza. I saw the recent post noting "Mama's Pizza as one of the 100 best pizzas in the USA!" Got to give it a try and it's close by. Hadn't heard about it them prior but like my Mom, she isn't one to call a lot of attention to herself. Called in a take out order and was handled professionally and pleasantly. 30+ mins later I am on my way to pick up my order. I arrived on schedule despite the weather. What a cute little spot on the corner!I was greeted by a lovely lady, Mama?, who was happy to see me. I gave her my name and shared that I was a first time customer. Her co-worker, a gentleman, heard that and promptly rewarded me with a candy bar from out of thin air. So kind! We chatted, laughed and shared some history. She warned me about potential cheese slide and how to prevent it from happening. A truly classic MN small town type of warm welcome and interaction. It's the type of experience that makes you want to come back again even before trying the food. The pizza! The crust was thin and crisp. Lots of cheese, no slide issues, all nicely melted. Square cut pizza slices. The toppings were plentiful and the sauce was perfect in quantity. The flavors came together in a truly satisfying taste - old school, classic pizza! My wife thought they were a bit too generous with the cheese, I disagree. The sauce had great flavor, not too sweet. I really enjoyed this pizza and the whole experience. I will definitely be back.

I placed an order for pick up. I have a kiddo in tow, and she is sick and only wants PIzza. We get there and the order isn't even in the queue to be made. Ok that's not super bad, it's pizza, lasagna, a sandwich and some bread. We order something to drink while we wait. We are sitting there quite a while waiting for our pizza. The guy is very apologetic. I get it, it's a small place and they are soing dine in and take out, it's a lot. We get home with our pizza, lasagna, sandwich and breads. the food is ok. Maybe it's that I had to reheat it since it's winter in MN, but it wasn't as good as I remembered it. We also got some gelato that was probably everyones favorite thing. the place is super cute and the service is rustic is feeling. they seemed to have some fun beers in cans. I would go in vs take out especially if it requires reheating.

"I love Estelle's. If you want great tasting consistent food this is your place. On street parking."
"I learned my lesson of ordering waaay too much food, so this time I got 1/2 Roasted Veggies on ciabatta which was the perfect size with a cup of Three Onion Potato soup. (As is my habit I also got a salad to have for lunch the next day.) The sandwich's roasted veggies are plentiful and I needed a fork to get it to a size where I could pick it up, and still some veggies slid out. It was a deliciously messy sandwich, which is the best kind! Flavorful, toasted bread and a generous portion of roast onions, peppers, shallots, and more. The Three Onion Potato soup was thick and packed with flavor. The onions were not detectable except by flavor, meaning they must be puréed into the potatoes and the result is delightful. The Florentine salad is spinach with orzo, sun-dried tomatoes, kalmata olives, roasted onions and more. Pine nuts add a nice crunch and goat cheese add creaminess. The balsamic vinaigrette was perfect on it and a small was a perfect size for lunch the next day. I'm getting hungry just writing this review of Zuppa's mouthwatering food!"
"Meatballs, lasagna and chicken parm are all winners here. Also enjoyed the chemistry wine (Pinot noir) which I came back for! Service is always great, a host of regulars can be found on any given night. Cozy and inviting we will continue to come back for the same great food and service."
"I went there for the first time on 1/20/23!its a great place to eat for lunch!I had a 1/2 meatball sandwich with chips Lunch special #14its was very delicious!Lots of cheese and yummy meatballs!I will go back there again and try their pasta!!"
"I love this place! Whether stopping in for a meal or buying items to go book club or another gathering I've always had a great experience here. The quality of everything is superb whether fresh, frozen, on location or to go you can't miss.Definitely has the feel of an old school Italian joint from the East coast. So legit. You definitely need to try them out ! Make a special trip! It's worth it!"
"I was staying at this location for a few days. I ended up eating here three nights. The ambience is perfect, there's a lot of plants, a very green space with soft lighting and the entire lobby/restaurant area. Very pleasant. It's a large space with plenty of seating, to include the bar area.My first impression was awful, due to a very rude bartender. I had to come down to pick up food I had ordered, because there was no one at the host stand for sometime. I made my way to the bar. A very tall male bartender turned to me, and I explained I was here to pick up food, before I could finish my sentence he cut me me off, told me he'd help me in a minute and turn back towards the register to input his tips. I took a seat at the bar, he never returned to help me.I ended up having a friend meet me at the bar and having my food there. Had it not been that the pasta was so good I would not have returned to eat the next couple nights. But honestly, he was so short and rude towards me that it made me wonder if I had offended him in someway. I don't think I did, as my interaction with him was so brief.Everything I had here was good, except for the olive tapenade. It just wasn't to my liking., But that's just my personal taste, perhaps. I also thought the pizza was just OK. Nothing crazy.I definitely stick with the pasta, and recommend the shrimp pasta, which is unfortunately the only one I didn't take a picture of. I would avoid the very tall male bartender. You should not expect faster service if you're sitting at the bar, I'm always patient in the sun, so I'm not taking any stars off for that experience. I just really think that the bartender could do better with interacting with guests."
"Detellos is the go-to pizza place in our neighborhood! Locally owned with very kind people working there, service is always top notch. Reasonable prices and most of all we love the pizza! One of the few places in town I don't need to request extra cheese on my pizza because it is perfectly cheesy on its own. We usually do the sausage pizza as the sausage they use is delicious with lots of flavor. Always request their "rockstar spices" which give the pizza a nice little flavor boost! Dining in will take you right back to the good old days when pizza places had that old wood panel 80s vibes to their restaurants. Please never change!! Easy parking in the lot out front."
"Flavorful cozy pastas and warm inviting ambience! We may have just found our new neighborhood Italian go to spot we came here for our birthday and got take out - both dishes were clearly made with love and were perfect portions for full bellies without feeling too heavy! I loved how many pasta options there were and can't wait to come back and try more. Service was great and I appreciate the big parking lot in the back of the complex !"
"Came here for restaurant week specials! The starter was nice! It's a spoon with a little treat from the kitchen. (It's basically fancy hummus)I had the risotto, potato gnocchi, and the olive oil cake for the restaurant week specials. (February 2023)The risotto was great! I was anticipating getting some crackers or bread to eat with the risotto but didn't need it as it was full of flavor on its own! It had sweet and savory profiles that changed with each bite! The gnocchi was also a great dish, each gnocchi was very smooth, buttery and melts in your mouth as you chew. I was hesitant to try the pork cheek but it was very good! It does not have a strange chewy texture, it feels like a regular piece of meat, just slightly more tender. The sauce was very savory, kind of like a gravy. Overall the entire dish came together nicely. Finally, the star of the night had to be the olive oil cake! It had the consistent of a pound cake, with a nice orange taste and a scoop of gelato! P.S. the lighting is dim, the back patio is heated AND very warm. The servers will take all your silverware after each course and replace it. Parking is limited behind the restaurant but street parking is pretty accessible."
"Our family loves this place. The pizza is amazing. The salads are too. The variety means everyone is happy and I personally think the seasonal menu is creative and always delicious. The dining area is small but works. You order and pay at the counter. They will bring your food out when prepared. This family of 5 highly recommends you stop and give it a try."
"If you haven't made your way over to West Broadway before you should definitely at it on your eats list! There are a ton of cute shops, eateries, and even a butcher shop! I was in the mood for some good eats Italian, you know like the kind where you imagine an adorable Italian grandma hand rolling noodles and stirring a giant pot of sauce with an oversized ladle spoon. Well we found it at Nonna Rosa's and I can't wait to go back!! We opted to sit on the back patio since it was a lovely evening and ordered the bruschetta to start, we both got the soup of the day with our entrees of Gnocchi Mare Monte & chicken parm. It was all sooo incredibly delicious, packed with flavor, and filled us to the brim!"
"Stopped in a few times before hockey games and it is pretty good. I like the loaded tots appetizer, I think it is a nice twist on a classic. Garlic bread is pretty good and nachos were a good amount. The pizza is also just your standard pizza. One thing to note, you cannot order the full menu outside which was fine for us but thought it was kind of weird. Service was good but it can get busy on game days."
"I have been past this place many times and finally stopped in. The meal was excellent. Great plate of spaghetti and meatball with some bread.Fast and friendly service."
"Best meal in MN so far! We just moved here from a foodie city and haven't been impressed with the food around here as of yet. Perron's changed that! The food was delicious and flavorful. My husband had the filet tip fettuccine and I had the seafood risotto. The martinis were also too notch. We'll be back!"
"Our realtor suggested we end our day of house hunting in this cozy place that offered a little hint of a speak easy vibe! We decided to kick off our Saturday night on the town with some old fashions and two appetizers. All of it was FANTASTIC! The drink was not only well prepared, but it came with a generous pour... and the apps were delicious. We will come here often in the future as we enjoyed the live music and intimate tables that offered an adult evening of fun and romance."
"Take your best friend for happy hour. Mine's a local rapper. He was pretty faded at the table, but he said something interesting. "A pirate is a bandit, but a bandit is not a pirate." We both got personal pizzas, perfect pepperoni ones. Did you know that a bandit was named after the bandanna not the other way around? The fish sandwich at this place is the best on the south side. I'll put it up against that one by the waterfall over there in the park. I waited in line half an hour for one of those last summer. Carbones is never did me wrong. Sometimes the trivia's too loud, but you can't hate on people for having a good time. I've got genuine love for this restaurant. The staff have seen me through multiple relationships. Did you ever notice that every time you break up you think you lost the greatest person you ever had until you meet the next person and then you think "how could I ever meet someone this awesome?" That happens to me every time. And every time when I'm feeling so low, and I can't get my head out of the ground, I come here and I get a Reuben. Some places make them too fancy. Comfort food isn't supposed to be fancy. Comfort food is supposed to be authentic. All we really crave is authenticity in this world of plastic and avatars. I can't wait to go back, but it's two in the morning when I'm writing this. Pizza never did anybody wrong. I think Pizza might be an angel."
"Happy Hour is goodPizza is not fantasticWill go back for sureIt's pretty much always Happy Hour at Leaning Tower, especially on the weekends. Nice to see. Most places are a short window M-F at the end of the workday. Lots of regulars. Two for one drinks on happy hour and two bucks off appetizers. Two complaints. The pizza is pretty much cheese and bread. Very minimal sauce. The other would be the very standard non-rotating beer selection. Staff is great and will continue to return if I don't get blackballed for this three star. Easy four if they work on my two gripes."
"Wow, this place is a hidden gem. It's tiny - I've driven by 100 times and never noticed it, but a friend recommended it and I'm so glad she did!First of all, walking in, there's a sign on the door that they are short staffed and to please be patient. Sure enough, the same man was the host, the bartender, waiter cook and bus boy - woah! In spite of all this, he was kind and efficient. The food was outstanding.I started with a Caesar salad - very good! You also get amazing warm bread that's crusty on the outside and warm in the middle - with seasoned oil to dip it in. Yum!The house sangria was some of the best sangria I've ever tasted! For dinner I got the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. It was amazing and a HUGE portion. I could spread this out for at least three meals. The ambiance is simple. They have a faux brick wall and they allow patrons to sign the bricks - that was fun!Next door is a delicious candy and chocolate store.I'm already looking forward to coming back to try new things at Giuseppe's!!"
"The pizza here is delicious and dangerous (because it's hard to stop eating it once you've started)! LOVE Carbone's pizza!!"
"Dominick's is my go to spot for pizza, Strombolis, and sandwiches in the metro! The food is always amazing and the owners employees are always friendly and engaging. I was nervous, like everyone, when the ownership changed in 2023 but the good news is the food and service is exactly the same still!"
"We did a Valentine dinner here as it was a place we hadn't been before. We started with a shrimp cocktail which were 5 decent sized shrimp served with cocktail sauce. Good starter. I chose an entree from the the special list which was sea bass with pesto and risotto and it was very good. Nice large piece of fish. Fish was tender and flaky. Husband had the Red Snapper. We both liked our meals very much. The atmosphere wasn't quite what I was hoping for Valentines Day. There were lots of families there and it didn't have the romantic ambiance I was hoping. Staff was nice. Service good. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but we drove around a bit and found an opening."
"This may be my favorite summer food spot, and thats pretty much exclusively because of the vibes and outdoor space. Don't get me wrong, the sandwiches are beautifully crafted and use high quality ingredients, and the service is great, but what really elevates it for me is the outdoor seating combined with the walk up window. After a long bike ride, not having to lock my bike up, and just recovering with a nice cold beer and a deliciously light sandwich on a sunny patio just feels RIGHT."
"Warm tomato spinach salad! Get it! This was a lovely Italian restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. Surprisingly not packed for a Friday evening but we did go to dinner at 7:30. The bread and appetizers were typical Italian restaurant fair, good but not spectacular. My husband ordered chicken parmigiana with white pasta as the side. He gave it a 4 out of 5. It's what he orders at every Italian restaurant we go to, so he knows his chicken parm. I had the WARM TOMATO SPINACH SALAD! One of the top 5 salads I've had at any restaurant ever! No really, get it! The spinach was warmed just enough to be wilted but still crunchy, tomatoes were blistered but not soggy, the onions and walnuts and goat cheese provided the perfect balance. I added grilled chicken and didn't regret it. Superb."
