L R. "Stopped in yesterday to treat myself to yogurt for lunch. I was surprised how many people were in here for a midweek afternoon, but if I lived closer, I'd be here a lot too! There were about a dozen choices of self-serve yogurt (the pumpkin pie was fantastic), and at least 30 topping choices. I liked it that many of the toppings are in these crank dispensers that only give out so much per crank; good for kids who could go overboard without that to slow them down. The lady behind the counter, who I think was an owner, was so friendly! I think it was more reasonable in price than similar places, too. Awesome, wish I could have it again today!"

Both traditional and rare, delicious flavors like banana pudding! They also offer a fun board where you can buy an ice cream for a pal's future visit and let them be surprised when they see their good treat posted on the board. They offer online ordering and delivery. They pair very well with the brewery across the street. Give them a try and don't be put off by how many menu options they have b/c everything is delicious!"

Esther J. "This is such a cute store to visit in the Summer. There's a cool truck you can take instagram worthy pictures by with your decked out icecream cone. This is one of my favorite places to get ice cream, because I love all of the fun toppings such as edible sprinkles and gummy strings, toasted marshmellows..so unique and the end result is a work of art. Their flavors are pretty good too. I think my favorite was the vegan lemon raspberry. There are a couple of reasons im giving it a 3 star though compared to my 5 stars for Izzy's. #1: The ice cream melts way too fast and there's nothing protecting against it except for a small napkin. It leaks through the bottom of the cone...I like it when they put something there as a surprise and I wish it did more to prevent the leaks! #2: the lines are too long in the summer. I usually wait like 30mins to get my ice cream. You have to be very dedicated and desperate for mnicecream to get it. #3: It's expensive, and if you choose your own toppings, even if it's the same amount of toppings as the set menu items, it ends up costing more. So a more cost effective way could be to choose the menu item that has most of the things you want on it and substitute it for something else. #4: Their flavors change all the time and I sometimes crave that lemon raspberry one but can't get it. And when I go there I never know what to expect. You might get one good flavor, maybe two, or maybe none..a gamble. But follow them on instagram to see their latest flavor and their promo posts like BOGO. Anyways, it's worth to try and take friends from out of town here since the ice cream cones are so instaworthy."

It is, as you would guess, all sorts of obscure candy, from candy bars you just won't find most places, to weird gummies, to, well, lots of things shaped like poop for some reason. Also lots of tiny fidget toys that honestly would make this a good place to shop for your ADHD kiddo in your life. The star is probably the $5 candy buffet, where you get a box and can fill it with whatever you want from a set of dispensers. But those dispensers are GOOD. It's not just the usual peach rings and gummy sharks. You can get Reeses, M&Ms, mallo cups, chocolate pretzels... the GOOD stuff. (Yeah, OK, chocoholic, #sorrynotsorry.) They're still hopped up on Halloween, but we will come back!"

Patti K. "This is our new favorite ice cream place. We love trying unfamiliar things here. The friendly staff patiently explain the desserts and flavors, and they are happy to offer a sample when we're not sure. Today I had a gancito (chocolate syrup and white cake) ice cream pop (paleta), which was just big enough to satisfy. But my spouse got a churro platter, two warm churros with three generous scoops of ice cream and maraschino cherries. We had fun trying ice cream flavors capuccino, coconut (with real coconut bits in it), and pine nut (bright pink with real pine nuts). They helpfully gave us two spoons, and I ended up helping my spouse finish it. The space is always clean. It can be noisy with the TVs and occasionally other parties, but so far that hasn't been a problem for us. The restrooms are clean, down two long hallways and shared with other businesses in the building. We were disappointed that a single small bike rack off to the side served the entire building, but fortunately no one else brought their bikes when we visited. The staff are often busy chopping fruit. Next time I'll come with more of an appetite and try a paleta dipped and served with fruit. There are so many things to try. We'll be coming back again soon!"

We tried to order sandwiches but it didn't seem like they were set up to make them. It was confusing. We're not sure why you'd have sandwiches on your menu if you don't have the ability to make them? We arrived just a little after 11:00, and it was pretty quiet. I had thought they were newly opened up, since i haven't really seen any social media buzz about it, but it's been about 4 months when I asked the staff. We love our boba, and we love our peach tea... but I didn't see anything like that on the menu, so we were forced out of our comfort zone. We only got 1 drink to share and it was the lychee dragon fruit kanten tea at 30% sweetness. We love that many boba places have been giving us the option now for lessening the sweetness level! The staff were really friendly and helpful in giving suggestions. It wasn't too long of a wait to get our drink, as we were the only ones. LOVED the tea we got this time around! We added in crystal boba, which lacked the usual texture I expected, but really liked the soft squishiness to it! I also appreciate that you can get 2 big scoops for ~7 dollars and 5 mini scoops for 8 if you'd like to try a bunch of flavors! The place is tiny and doesn't have any tables that seat more than 4 on the patio, but it's such a close walk to the lake that you could absolutely sit by the water with a cone. Could tell the employee working was a little bored considering he appeared from the back and greeted us right away then didn't even try to make himself look busy as he waited for us to get to the register. It was a little intimidating having him stand and watch us the entire time from start to finish as we select our options. Sort of made me feel rushed even though I know there was no ill intention- just boredom. Who knows how many people had even cycled through that night having it be a weekday. The cookie dough balls were a surprise new add to the toppings bar- on one fad to another. Was tempted to try but wasn't really willing to risk spending 5 more dollars doing so not knowing how much they weigh.Wasn't impressed by the flavors- or the flavor mash up/twist selections (seemed uninspired or uninteresting and wasn't even tempted to try one). All in all it's still good for a once in awhile trip but still a little spendy for all the other options we have these days after the excitement of building your own has faded."

Fresh, creamy ice cream with tons of toppings and flavors that often play off Twin Cuties spots and inside jokes (like the Nicollet Avenue Pothole). If you get the idea for a scoop on a perfect summer evening, be warned that others will have had this idea, too - this line gets pretty busy and can take a while to get through, and be sure to scope out a patio spot ahead of time. This time around I got a split single scoop with Waka Flocka Flakes & Ridin' Duuurty: --The Waka Flocka Flakes was a sweet but not overly sweet base with lots of jam throughout; the flakes included were a little bit bigger than I would've ideally picked, but they added a nice texture to the ice cream. Picture toast with jam & that's this ice cream! --Ridin' Duuurty was also perfectly sweet; I loved the chunks of peanut butter, they were large & in charge. Everything was well balanced & super tasty, this one was my favorite of the 2 that I got! I see a lot of reviews regarding the prices; yeah, Milkjam isn't the cheapest place around, BUT their flavors are unique & delicious, the folks scooping the ice cream have always been really fast & helpful (while staying upbeat even during rushes), & the storefront itself is simple but cute. When we asked what ice cream we should get, she asked us how our day was going and recommended flavors based on our answers (strawberry rhubarb for my friend who was feeling anxious for example) The price for the pints (12 before tax) is the only thing that gave me a pause, HOWEVER the ice cream is all hand made and super unique so i'm happy to pay a steeper price for good quality. I tried 3 flavors, and the pistachio almond was my winner."
