Jocelyn R. "I have driven by this place a million times and had NO IDEA they had a little coffee/lunch counter inside until a recent Yelp search alerted me to the fact?! My husband and I had a very nice lunch here, I loved my grilled cheese and soup, plus picked up some day old peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (YUM) and some nice lattes to fortify ourselves before a Target shopping run. There is a LOT to see here aside from food and this is a great gift shopping spot. I will absolutely come back here when I am in the area next time!"

Jennifer B. "Review 100 woohoo! I've really been on a chalk paint/vintage/rustic shop visiting spree lately and the Mama's Happy in Independence is one of my favorites! Always so charming and cute with well styled displays of chalk paint furniture and upcycled decor. The prices are very reasonable for a boutiquey kind of shop and I love that it supports this amazing group of hard working mamas who enjoy crafting.I've purchased a distressed craft table, a vintage bookshelf and a re-upholstered chair here. The ladies that run the place are always so nice and truly happy. Annie Sloan chalk paint, waxes, and brushes for sale as well. This is an occasional shop so it's only open about once a month (look on Their website for dates). Their other shops in St Paul, St. Louis Park, and Stillwater are open 7 days a week. Every time I come here there are constantly changing and exciting treasures to look at and find. Many times they offer complimentary wine or refreshing beverage to sip on while you peruse the store- how fun! On my most recent visit they had an open house of the "Makers Cottage" next door- a beautifully custom designed home with several rooms and an inviting deck available to rent for events or overnights or what have you. They also host an annual vintage market at the end of the summer in the backyard/field with many other vendors. Very limited parking in the driveway of the building mostly for loading items into your car. Just plan to park on the street unless you come close to closing time.I absolutely love the creativity and beautiful shop, it's a special place and worth the drive!"

Pretty standard as far as thrift stores go; however, they usually have a very good selection of furniture upstairs for amazing prices, which is usually why I stop!Just one word of advice: the hours are crazy and make no sense, so make sure to check the hours before you go!"

Curiosity is across the street from Young Joni and Dangerous Man, and it is a lovely little place! When we entered, we were greeted by an employee. Not even just greeted; he also struck up friendly conversation. Nice! Literally! The store is small but mighty, boasting very eye-pleasing house wares, gifts, decor, and more. I was mostly interested in and impressed with their plant holders/pots, local and mindful infant toys, care packages for new mothers, dinnerware, wall decor, and other pretty little things made by local artists. I thought the prices were very reasonably considering the items were mindfully curated and mostly locally sourced. I really look forward to coming back and shopping here once we get settled in our new home. The friendly employee (or maybe owner??) said that they rotate their inventory often. He also said that they don't have a ton of local clout (hence me neglecting them this whole time), so stop in and tell them you saw them on Yelp!"

What a Gorgeous little store loaded with unique gifts and home stuff!! They even have a guys and kids section. The gal was super sweet and chatty about the stores history and general information. It's only open weekends but used to be just once a month. I ended up coming home with some cool little Swedish wash clothes, a set of new glasses with French words on them and a gorgeous2 tiered platter rack thingy. I also REALLY wanted to bring home a unique one of a kind French bar cabinet but not sure where to fit it into our new place yet. I'll definitely be back for more cutesy gifts (most likely for myself!) and to see what else they add each month."

I needed a full bed frame for our spare room since family was coming. I needed something same day or next day. I called to check what they had and Stevie helped me over the phone, going through all my options and what they had in stock. She had what I needed! So we headed over and made the purchase. I got a bed frame, the metal frame, and box spring for $350! Great price! She was great! The process was quick and she went above and beyond helping us. 5 star service! And Aaron at the store was so nice to help us tie down the box spring to the car. We made it home just fine and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back! Thank you Stevie and Aaron from American Freight!"

The items they carry vary seasonally and is there really fun stuff, they merchandise it in a great way that helps you envision it in your own home or cabin. (It's not just home decor...LOTS of great things for yourself and to buy as gifts). I highly recommend Modern Barnyard and a great way to support local."

This spot is a nice fix closer to home with super cute home decor made out of found objects and antiques. I found most of their prices spendy, but I am more of a do-it-yourselfer/ crafty type. I still found lots of great ideas! I even bought an old pill bottle and have a list of a few other items I will go back to get, budget willing. My Mom got a peony type flower made out of old sewing patterns! Super cute! Our other fave ideas were old coffee carafes as planters and Ball jars painted metallic! They also have the old-fashioned milk paints for sale or for classes which antique wood nicely. Definitely check this store out!"

For example they had the couches next to the Spaghetti O's which is next to the mufflers for your car or truck. However if you are a person who likes to get sweatshirts or t-shirts from gift shops of the cities you visit you could come here because it appears they got a load from a bunch of reject cities."

Elvia M. "We were searching for a couch for our new apartment and boy did we leave dissapointed in the customer service level here. The furniture is good and they have some nice pieces at good prices but that older hispanic lady they have selling is the rudest person I have met! We went in asking about pricing as we had seen the same couch at another place for $800 and we asked this lady if she could lower the price, she said she could do $900 and something (honestly with all the irritation I felt of what she said I forgot the exact amount) I asked if she could do the same or a little lower of the $800 we saw at the other store. We understand if it can't be lowered we were even willing to pay the amount she told us and with a simple "We're sorry, we can't go that low" would be enough but no!! This lady told us in the most sarcastic voice " Well you better run and go to that other store because you won't get that price here with us!" We ignored it and chalked it up to her having a bad day or something and decided to leave since we were feeling irritated at this point but again she follows my husband and I as we're exiting and proceeds to tell us once more in a sarcastic tone "Run, Run! hurry and go to that other store because you won't find that price here". That was completely unnecessary!!!! She was practically kicking us out of the store! This was not the first time we came here. We had visited 2 weeks prior and we were taken aback by how rude and condescending she was but again us being nice, thought she had a bad day or something. Definitly will not visit this place again unless that lady is gone and I WILL tell all friends and family not to visit this store when that lady is there!! Furniture is good but we can find the same somewhere else where we will actually be treated NICELY and welcomed!"

Maxx M. "Worth the stop - 4 stars.Pine Creek is an antique store right on the main drag in the old town part of North Branch. It's a lot bigger than it looks like on the outside. The whole thing is shaped like a giant "L" and it actually has 2 separate entrances. This is a traditional mall type antique store with multiple vendors. The store also has quite a few "house" items that are owned by the store. The reason I know this is because the item I picked wasn't marked and they happened to mention that it's a house piece when they were trying to figure out the price. The shop is well organized, clean, and displayed nicely. The prices all seem super reasonable. And the staff members are nice people. I had a pleasant chat with the owners about the long history of the building...very interesting. One of the main things I like about this place is it actually has antiques! There are very few new items. By far, nearly everything is what I'd consider antique or vintage. One notable exception is a vendor that seems to be preoccupied with Christmas items, most of which looked like modern products. Not my thing but I suppose there are people that dig this.Thumbs up!-Maxx"

And then allowed me with zero pressure to have fun looking over all the great selections of home furniture ,and loads of beautiful accessories. The great thing was the store policy ;If you purchase a large item ,they allow you plenty of time to arrange the transportation of it. I found the quality I am used to and the deeply discounted prices I love too. They have a plethora of great mattresses. Mostly top of the line ,finer brands like Sealy and Posturepedic. Most of the pillowtops were under $400.00 for the set! Thats super cheap..They all appeared new ,many still in plastic.I will definetly be going back soon. The merchindise clearly moves quickly, so be ready to make a decision! This visit I bought all great accessories. Next visit, I will definatly purchase a new mattress, and some pretty furniture pieces! I suggest shopping there frequently ,as things really come and go.Nice touch, is they have a great web site, with much of their current inventory ,and even the prices. Findfurnish was a delightful find that is not like that at all. The furniture selection is not huge but is all really quality stuff - mostly vintage but well-curated and well-displayed. In addition, I was pleased to find that it's more than just a furniture store. There is another well-curated selection of vintage household goods AND there's a whole room of extremely well selected, extremely well organized and extremely interesting vinyl. They get excess liquidation stuff from dollar tree, dollar general, Costco, etc. I found a few things. You need to really check expiration dates, to me anything from Dec 2022 should be OK in January 2023. Upstairs has furniture and pictures. Prints of Adam Thurman who has the quirky puzzles were $120. They had target field, us bank stadium, etc for $120. I saw a cool buffalo picture for $189. 4/5 stars as cashier was this older lady who sat down and wasn't friendly and did not say thank you after my purchase.
