"Always get friendly service and their creative menu and different specials keep me coming back!"
"I love Turf Club. This is a classic music venue with great service. I have been there a few times now and have never had a bad experience. The stage is elevated a bit so even if you're in the back, you can see the performance. This place isn't huge, so you get a very intimate setting. Great options at the bar for drinks and they have food, even though I haven't tried anything yet. Looks good though! I could not believe the service we got the last time we were there. We had a table and our server was so on top of everything. Never had to wait long for a drink refill. He was so nice and funny. Really added to the whole experience!I always keep an eye out for events at Turf Club because I'll take any excuse to visit here!"
"Last minute change of plans had us stopping here for a night cap before heading home. It's a huge dive bar with a huge selection of drinks. I opted for a white claw and for seltzers they had 3 different brands with multiple flavors per brand. Wow! They also have food...we had already eaten so we didn't check out the menu. We lucked out with a round table by the front and had great service from our waitress. It's a popular place with the locals. It was definitely the place to be at midnight."
"Amazing wings and dips. The blue cheese, ranch and seasoned sour creams were the best I've had. Atmosphere is relaxing and diverse. All around excellent experience."
"The food here is absolutely amazing. Soups are made in house from scratch. They have a server on until 2 AM every single night so if you're sitting down at a booth or table, the server is there for you. they always have a dj downstairs on weekends. Every single night they have karaoke. It's a great place to have dinner and hang out with your friends and everyone is welcome."
"Met a friend and some friends that are regulars last month. What a great neighborhood bar! I didn't ask if it was new or I just never noticed but besides street parking they have a small parking lot across the street! Our bartender was very attentive and friendly... kept stopping back as I couldn't decide if I was going to drink or not? The patrons are just a bunch of chill folks hanging out...definitely my atmosphere. Not like you would think... a dim lit bar... we had full lights beaming during our visit. I like that they have some regulars photos stapled along the bar....as a dear friend who passed several years ago.... I always look for his photos. Thanks Half Time Rec for being such a relaxing and inviting place to catch up w friends, cheers!"

This was my first time visiting the Turf Club. The Main Squeeze was playing on a Wednesday night and I couldn't wait! Doors opened at seven, the opener played at eight and the main act played about an hour and a half later. We got there around 8:20 and it was pretty busy already. There is free parking behind the venue but it fills up fast. The venue itself is pretty small but that's what gives it character. It's longer then it is wide, with the stage set at the very back on the left side. The bar runs the length of the right side. There is limited seating and most were standing for the show. I'd recommend getting there early if you want a seat. My only dislike was the location of the bathrooms. They were behind the stage so everyone has to walk in front of the stage to get there. Sort of an inconvenience for spectators I think. The sound was surprisingly impressive throughout the bar. I really enjoyed this little music venue for smaller, unique shows!

My local watering hole-- a dive bar in its truest form. Don't come in here expecting anything fancy, don't come in here with your wedding party and expect immediate service (it's not that kinda place). Usually the place is packed on the weekend nights, and it's for a good reason. They've got pool tables, a juke box, arcade games, booths, a patio you can smoke in, and most importantly: reasonably priced drinks. I like getting a beer & a bump (of whiskey) from time to time. Bar food is hit or miss: my recos are the chicken tenders, quesadilla, or loaded tator tots. They seem to love jalapeños in the kitchen; I cannot do spicy, so I ask for them on the side. Teddy, Mike, and Jason are great bartenders... I like watching how fast they work a high volume of orders. Kimmy the waitress is the sweetest, and I like Ryan and Drake at the door. Some of the staff has turned over due to COVID, but generally good people if you treat them right. Although Randy the mgr could stand to smile a little bit more, and be friendly once in a blue moon. I've never seen Lynn the owner. Regardless, I highly recommend the CC if you come in with the right mindset, and open to mingling with others.

clam chowder on Fridays 5*! A little too loud in the bar for this ol' gal (and guy). Buffalo wings are great, too.

They have a credit service charge, which I didn't see psted anywhere or on the menu but not surprised. The server was very nice, though busy as she was doing the bar and tables. The turkey parmesan was the star of the two sandwiches, though towards the end, he admitted it was too much american cheese. My burger was a thin smashed burger type, so it was dry and more bun than meat. The fries were fine they had a coated season type. The bathroons were not great at all, at least the ones I went to on the main bar side. Noticed after that there was another set on the other side of the bar, those maybe better.

Five stars for the Greenies, environment , and experience. Three for the food from DiveBar. I know ppl have been raving about the burgers but, we ordered burger, chicken sandwich, and perogies. Non were very good. They all tasted bland. The chicken tasted like it was kind of freezer burnt before, and had way too much lettuce on it. So much that it was all over the basket. The burger and sanwhich came with a bag of chips. They were good Dutch chips! Go for the Greenie and the fun...I will try the food one more time hoping this was an off night. Update to come when I do. Loved our server even though she was busy she was great!

I have been coming to Frenchman's since I was a baby .. literally.. I have pictures of me in my car seat on the table ha that being said I may be biased . I want to start out with saying , I have read a lot of reviews and the main issue is SERVICE , I understand this , but this is a small "hole" in the wall bar and they do their best . Usually only two people working. I always grab a menu right when I walk in, they are located on the wall by the mens bathroom . PRO tip walk up to the bar and order , it makes everyone's life easier ... and frankly isn't hard ... Now to the food . I crave Frenchman's weekly and I usually make weekly happen . The FRIES are my favorite almost anywhere, make them even better by asking for them extra crispy . I have had almost everything on the menu. My go to is the ghost pepper burger add onions and mushrooms . The burgers are just classic and never disappoint, you can't go wrong with any of them . They started a new burger of the month, and that's what I had last week . It had chihuahua cheese , hatch chili jam and grilled jalapeño . Lots of heat here , but soooo much flavor . I will be sad I can't get it again , but looking forward to the next BOTM The battered mushrooms are to die for. The cowboy balls (sweet corn , bacon , jalapeño and cream cheese in a light battered ball ) also better extra crispy , but seriously so yummy . Another perk of Frenchman's is cheap drinks and overall their prices are low and the food is GREAT . I always get a pitcher of Coors light and I am a happy camper . Richfield is lucky to have Frenchman's, and I hope I can continue to enjoy eating here for years to come .

"In Minneapolis and I had to try a Greenie. It was not what I expected. I thought it would be sweeter but it was good and definitely packed a punch. Cheap too. I think it was $6.50? I also tried a purple one and it was good but I liked the Greenie better. The bar seemed to be filled with mostly locals who all knew each other. Bar is across the street from Betty Danger's which was also on my must visit list. Cash only. There is an ATM onsite."
"Stopped at this restaurant for a quick lunch. I really enjoyed the small town atmosphere in the big city. Great people and quick service. I really enjoyed the Frenchmen's Pub sandwich. It is worth the extra $2.50 to get the french fries."
"Always friendly. Have never eaten here. Good drinks and prices. Love that they usually have diet sprite. Cash only. They have pulltabs"
"This is your usual dive bar. Small, outdated, and beer posters on the walls. We came here to check out the pool table. It was a Thursday night around nine and there weren't too many people there so the table was open. I hate when you go into bars and get stared at like you don't belong there, but I didn't get this vibe in here. The bartender was very nice and the drinks cheap. There's a nice patio in back and a parking lot. We didn't try the food but heard it was good. So next time!"
"It had been 4 years since I visited this place. Food is great, people are friendly, service was outstanding by Joe the bartender and the prices are so reasonably set for a great luncheon as well as drinks were cheaper than most places we go. If you are ever on the mighty Mississippi near Treasure Island Casino and lock and dam number 3, this is a great stopping area for a good lunch and American Menu. I hope the prices stay the same. The only item I couldn't figure out was the Bavarian Pretzel was $10 and that seemed high but the rest of the menu was reasonable and delicious!! Good burgers and fries. Thanks Joe for taking care of us and the bar too. I would have given it 5 stars but the place needs some TLC clean up and the restrooms were let's just say need improvements. Otherwise a great bar and grill to hang out on the river."
"I'm surprised I've never given a review of Maxx's before since I've been come here multiple times over the past 15 years. Started with following a popular (now-retired) country band. Occasionally a bingo night with the work ladies and the famous tent parties. For the most part, I've always enjoyed my experiences here. The times I have not is due to large crowds (because of those popular bands or tent parties) where you can't easily walk from one end to the other for the bathroom, a drink, to the dancefloor. Just too crowded that you bump somebody and get a drink spilled on you. Some people might like that atmosphere but not me. Bingo nights are better. And I've learned to come early to get a good seat. Always be kind to your wait staff. They're busy and try their best. Now on to today's visit. It's COVID 19 time and I'm still uncomfortable dining inside or on patios. I'd rather continue supporting local and just do pickup. They aren't doing delivery or curbside. Must go inside to pickup and pay...masks required to enter. From time of calling in order to picking up was 20 mins. Food was warm (not hot) by the time I got home ( ~8 min drive) but that's to be expected. I ordered the Cowboy Burger (tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle), Cajun Fries with Seasoned Sour cream. Forgot to include the bourbon bbq sauce but it was still tasty. Cajun fries were spicy enough. SSC was eh. Almost tasted too sweet. It looked too uniform in red color. SSC should be speckled.Sis got the (crispy) Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Ranch, Waffle Fries and SSC. She loves to order BCWs. Wrap was the right amount of spicy for her, which for others might be too mild. By the time we got around to eating it, chicken was soggy, no longer crispy. She's had better wraps but was still happy she ordered it. So many good things on the menu: salads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, pizza... it was hard to choose. Must remember they deserve breakfasts too!"
"Five stars all the way. We paddled up from the other side of the lake and tied our boards up to the dock. When we first walked up, it was clearly a dive and we were wondering if we would feel unwelcome because we are not locals. Absolutely not the case! Steve got us drinks and Kevin, the owner, chatted us up and made us feel like regulars. His mom was there watching a soap opera with some friends and she shared some delicious homemade cake with us. Kevin dropped $5 in the juke box for us to listen to some songs and made us The Best Pizza! Cheeseburger with extra pickles. There is a reason it has won awards! We are the whole thing! The bar area has a fantastic lakefront view but the outside is awesome too. There is a stage area for a band and plenty of outdoor seating if you want to keep your distance from others but still enjoy getting out and about. When COVID-19 goes away, this would be a perfect place to get back to normal!"
"This is a solid, classic American bar with friendly service. The cheese curds were a definite highlight--crispy and delicious! I personally would've preferred a lighter touch on the batter, but overall, they were great. Pairing a burger and a beer here in such a laid-back atmosphere feels just right. You can't go wrong with this spot. Worth a visit if you are in the area."
