"Time - Sunday morning 8AMPlace - Eggy's on 14th StreetUs - two seniorsI was quite impressed by the variety on the menu which always makes decisions difficult. My wife, on the other hand, always gets a short stack, no matter we go.The service was prompt and friendly. The food came to the table quickly, and hot.I had the Cinnamon Bun pancakes, half order, which was a good portion size. A full serving would have been enough for two.Definitely a go to spot if I am back in town for breakfast."
"I have come here from time to time and i have to say that Angie will always take care of you no matter how busy it is. When i come to this establishment its like i am visiting family. The pancakes and fodero breakfast are my go to but everything on the menu is fabulous. Pancakes are made to order and eggs are fresh, i couldn't be happier. Chase is so wonderful to talk to and very hardworking and accomodating. 5 star food and 5 star staff."

"The food is great, never a bad meal here. The hours are great and you can't beat the service. Our server was handling over 4 tables and we never had to ask for refills. The ambiance gives the old dinner feel."
"What a quaint neighborhood gem serving a delicious breakfast with great service! My parents and I were able to get a table right away here after checking 3 other brunch locations that had over an hour wait on Easter Sunday. The breakfast menu is a bit on the smaller side but I was able to order an espresso martini, the breakfast tacos, a side of bacon, and we split an order of 2 of their huge pancakes. I thought the potatoes in the tacos took away from the chorizo and egg flavor but the side of bacon was so perfectly cooked I had to order another serving! The heritage flour pancakes were also very fluffy and tasty. With my parents visiting from NJ, the location was convenient also because we got to see the George Floyd memorial right after breakfast. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back soon and enjoying their outdoor patio with my food!"
"The husband and I split the chicken fried steak breakfast and the apple fritter French toast breakfast. Everything came out piping hot and cooked perfectly. Delish! Our server was super friendly and had jokes!"
"This 24 hr Diner was located across the street from our hotel so we were able to conveniently walk over whenever we were in the mood for some tasty food! Though the down side is that they take a long time...both times that we've gone, there was either 1 or 2 servers for the entire restaurant floor and it would be hectic with the amount of parties coming in as well. If you have the time to sit and wait for the food or even to have your order taken, I definitely would try them out! We got their Frickles (Fried Pickles), Poutine, and Chicken Wings with Dry Jerk Seasoning. The fried pickles were delicious paired with their ranch sauce. My second favorite was their chicken wings which were huge! It's only 5 pieces but it's including the drum stick and wing together. Overall, their food is delicious and if we're ever back, we'd come back to try their other goodies. The ambiance is an old school diner vibe. There are shows on certain days on the rooftop/upstairs. There's a security guard that checks IDs at the door as well."
"Leasha was exceptionally attentive and helpful with recommendations. A glass of Chardonnay was delivered to the wrong person, and was promptly replaced. Expensive menu but worth it for a special event. The beauty of this rooftop restaurant is a real treat. Food is delicious and we all agreed. My lobster roll was a real treat!"
"Recently moved nearby so figured I'd give it a try. Menu is decently priced and they staff is very friendly. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries, while the burger was great, I'm not a fan of string fries. I prefer regular cut fries. This is my only complaint. I will come back and try the breakfast."
"This was just how I remember it!!! Convention grill use to be my favorite place to go when I was a kid so I had to try it out again when it reopened! It feels exactly the same just looks a little cleaned up, maybe new paint? Looks great!!! We all got burgers and shared a regular fry. Hot tip, the regular fries were way too many for 4 people, could have sized down. As I'm gluten free I was excited they had gluten free buns and made my shake without malted milk!! Seriously I was so excited I could have all my faves still. The food prices are amazing but the quality is even better. You can't beat fresh cut fries! I made a custom shake, had to have their famous hot fudge and banana! Wow was it very banana forward but amazing! Make sure you make room for any of their ice cream treats. Also I got a half order of a malt and it was 2 full glasses, such a great deal!"
"A great place to have a fast breakfast large portions and cooked right. Home jelly too!!One of the few restaurants that have grits! And the greeter James here will have you feeling very welcome because he is so rich with life. We look forward to him every time we go there."
"Simply one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Huevos Benedicto... a play on the classic but spicy & full of flavor. Just the right amount of heat but not overpowering. The red sauce is thick and chunky and the chorizo is great. I will make this a regular visit for breakfast. Great service, great cook, small & quaint but not crowded. All good."
"Healthy takeout breakfast (surprise!)Since having to make a few dietary adjustments, eating out has not been the easiest. However, I was very pleased when my husband brought home breakfast from a local favorite among Lakevilleans: BuckboardHe ordered me a low-sodium mushroom omelette with a hint of cheddar and side of fruit (the menu item below had substitutions, fruit was subbed for toast). Also - this was take-out, so I got to enjoy in the comfort of home. But a beautiful breakfast and one I felt quite comfortable eating. Please note - the restaurant does have the atmosphere of a diner - so, not a very romantic spot. However, the staff will work hard to ensure a solid meal."

I have a high expectations when it comes to a breakfast joints. This place checked all the boxes. The service was good, could be improved. Really nice staff. Coffee was hot and it had the right taste. Not that smoky taste you feel in your breath. I got a breakfast burrito and a pancake. My wife got a breakfast sandwich. The burrito was off the charts. It was F ing delicious. Most diners go cheap on the pancake quality, but not this place. And you can't forget the massive big potatoes that came on the side. The only thing I regret is I wasn't hungry enough. I need to starve myself for my next visit.

It's been 5 years, so I figured it was time for an update! This spot is STILL one of my favorite greasy spoon brunch spots, with a legendary serving team that's been around for ages, all your favorite classic foods, and that feeling of community (or are we just all hungover together?) on a weekend morning.I'll keep this update short and sweet - here are some of my faves:- BYO omelet- corned beef hash- cajun breakfast (ask for the hollandaise on the side to smother on your own)- lunch: cubano (get the sweet potato tots as a side!)- my partner loves their pancakes and cinnamon rolls - I always order a chocolate milk heheThis place just feels like community and nostalgia, and I love that. Loading up on eggs and hashbrowns for weekend brunch just hits the spot!

A 24-hour old-fashioned diner in the middle of one of America's finest cities, right across from my hotel? Yes, please. Thanks to the Hyatt Hotel staff for directing me to this throwback venue. It is clean and fun to people-watch due to its vast windows. The diner has a counter and tables. The staff was so kind and friendly. Yelp had a discount within their venue listing, and the owner (Max) honored it. He is a good guy too. I elected their Club Sandwich and fries, and they got my special requests right, which made me happy after a long travel day. The sandwich was delicious, heaping portion, and I loved the fries.

The ambience and food were impeccable! Service: subpar. Some friends and I went for New Year's Eve. I understand the place was busy due to it being a holiday. Even so, we had to flag down other wait staff as our own waitress did not check on us. It took an hour to order our meal and drinks. And when we got our champagne we ordered, our waitress left it with us. We did not get flutes or extra glasses. Just a full bottle of unopened champagne. I got up from our table to ask the other wait staff for help, be it: water refills, champagne glasses, help opening the bottle, to get our meal order taken so at least it was taken as we waited for our food, for the check, etc. I felt bad I had to keep asking other wait staff for help. The food was delightful! The ambiance amazing! I wish we had better service that night.

"I finally made it to the ORIGINAL Keys in St Paul! I've always enjoyed their diner type food. Healthy portions and affordable prices. Friendly and efficient service. It's really a Twin Cities institution to get some brunch or a diner meal here sometime. You have to try it!I've been impressed with their desserts as well. The St. Paul location had a good variety to choose from. You really get the diner feel with the low counter with stools or booths to sit in. Everyone that helped us was so nice and helpful. It's like you're a regular even for the first time! My friend swore by their breakfast combo. The one that suggested it to us and I tried the reuben. It did not disappoint!I honestly did not realize how many locations they actually had until I looked at their website. Now that I've been to the original and the one in the Foshay I may need to take a tour around town to try all of the others! My favorite part honestly, was I got a cute sticker of the founder, Barbara, on my to go box. Cute! Support those family businesses. We need to keep them around for as long as possible!"
"Cheers to a magical evening at Forepaugh's! Surrounded by good company and the charm of this historic gem, we're ready to celebrate the season in a setting that feels like stepping back in time. So happy we finally made it to this lovely spot. Make a reservation for your next date night & experience the enchanting historic ambiance of Forepaugh's, where every corner whispers tales from the 19th century. Dine in a beautifully restored Victorian mansion, complete with stunning architecture and elegant decor. Some of the most incredible food I've had in Saint Paul .The service was incredible, very welcoming and generous. Overall, this spot has an incredible ambience and aesthetic. The parking is fairly easy there is valet for $15 or there is a lot that you can pay for right across the street for five dollars."
"I've lived in Minnesota for decades and had never dined here before. My sister flew in from Kansas and I decided she was the perfect person to share the experience with. The food was great!"
"Okay.. whose brilliant idea was it to serve popcorn prior to getting my meal? Because I love it so very much and think it's the perfect addition to dining that I didn't know I was missing. I went here with some friends after worm and listeeeeeeeen. I absolutely loved the gluten free burger and chips I had. The Barbecue sauce was amazing and just enough was left on my plate to occasionally dip the chips into as well. I like the seating and think it is arranged really well inside of the pub. I haven't done much else besides try the food but my waiter was amazing and answered all of our questions. Even did a great job breaking up the bill when it was a total of 6 of us and almost 5 different seperate checks. I loved it so much I brought my bf later the next month to try it as well."
"Tony's has some of the most amazing breakfast I've had in a long time. Located in Dinkytown in the college area. Breakfast is not my fave meal but this place put a smile on my face. It's hard to find good diner authentic quality. This places checks off that box. I ordered a loaded hash brown with mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with avocado toast. Be warned the avocado toast does come with an egg though it wasn't listed. They kindly remade it for me because I can't have dairy. I was even able to order a mimosa at this lovely place. Highlight is the most delightful habanero hot sauce that was made by a local. I wish they sold it by the bottle because I would have bought a couple. The green was my favorite. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food. I will be back on every Minneapolis trip I have in the future."
"Not too bad, always nice to visit local eateries in the community. Found it on Yelp and wanted to try it as my friend and I visit Cannon Falls for the first timeOrdered- Eggs Benedict Special (2.5/5). This was really heavy. The eggs benedict was not what I expected - it came out really mushy and overpowering. It was a grand slam of a meal, but I just couldn't finish it.Think next time I will order some club sandwiches or scrambled eggs to go with the house made potatoes"
"The drinks and food are consistently good - we come here regularly and they always have some items on a rotating menu to keep things fresh, which we appreciate!"
"Amazing breakfast. However the real reason I keep coming back and the thing that sets this breakfast joint apart from the rest is this. FRESH SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE!!! Amazing amazing amazing. Also flavored creamer!Fried Chicken is also amazing"
"I was craving salmon and came upon Fireside. The salmon dinner at Fireside might be more than I want to pay but it's worth it! The salmon is cooked perfectly! It comes with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. I have ordered takeout but plan to visit them as I was pleased with my entree."
"Recently moved to Rochester and kept seeing the pig on the building. Finally came for breakfast and so glad. Super friendly server. Both my daughter and I enjoyed our breakfast. Pancake super fluffy and yummy. Will be back soon"
"A bit of a hidden gem, deserves to be busier but I wouldn't change it... solid food, good people, no frills, highly recommended"
"My friend and I picked up a couple salads on our lunch break. Both salads were both tasteful and very filling! I got the Southwest Salad and my friend got the Mediterranean Bowl and we both added chicken. The place looks like an old diner inside that has been upgraded but has kept its charm. I definitely will be going back!"
"I really appreciate the Park Diner. The service is usually on point and very friendly. They have a wide variety of options and everyone in your group can find something that they want. The portions are very reasonable, especially for what you pay. Also, the batter bites are so good! Get them and you won't be disappointed. Most of the sauces are homemade and so good!"
"stopped by here today at 1:30 hoping for a quick lunch with my elderly mom. Since they close at 2, we were told the frier had already been turned off... no problem - we each got a taco salad (we were going to go without the shells, but they had 2 already fried/puffed). The salads were wonderful with a REAL tomato, fresh onion and nice lettuce. salsa and sour cream were on the side (which I liked). nice amount of flavorful meat. We'll be back to try more!"
"Awesome coffee roasters and a fantastic breakfast spot. I wish I were staying longer than four days--this would definitely be my regular go-to!Recommendation: The Tanzania coffee was a delightful touch--highly recommend it to any coffee lovers looking for a special treat!"
"This is our favorite place to go!Chicken sandwich with mash potatoes and stuffing all covered in gravy!!And don't forget the cinnamon roll to go"
"If you are in the Cable area and desire a solid, hearty meal, then this is the place to stop. The owner is intimate with the daily operations and insures you have a great experience. I have been visiting this cafe for years and never once have I been disappointed. Portions are very large and pricing is very reasonable. Check out the pics from my most recent trip up north. I love this cafe."
"Great service. Large portions. Good food. Cute spot. Highly recommend to anyone. Will be back."
"This was amazingly tasty good! Not a fan of frozen chicken tenders but it didn't matter because the crispy bacon inside the waffle and the Carmel pecan topping made every bite sinful! My husband got the chicken fried steak and was not impressed. It's served with beef gravy but on this day they had a sausage gravy which he opted for. But what made it not good was it was Italian sausage, not a breakfast sausage which it should have been. We will be back though because gotta have the chicken and waffle again!"
