"I ordered a 8 1/2" round birthday cake from out-of-state because I was going to be in Mankato that day and didn't want a pre-made grocery store cake. I thought the cake would be a traditional 2-layer cake, so I was surprised it was just 1-layer. I probably should have specified I wanted 2 layers, but it would have been helpful if they had asked since I didn't realize there was an option. The decorating was nothing special, but the chocolate cake was absolutely DELICIOUS! Very moist and chocolatey. The chocolate frosting was a bit sweet for my taste,but the kids enjoyed it. Price was good. We also ordered pecan rolls and cinnamon rolls, which were yummy as well. Don't let the outside of the store fool you... This is a wonderful bakery! Next time I am in Mankato I am going to try the bread."

"Honestly, I can't lie...this place did not live up to the hype. I almost feel like this place is the McDonald's of places to go wedding cake tasting ... everyone is like, are you going to Buttercream? Why oh why would you get your cake from here? Probably half of your friends are getting the same cake. And I know because after cake tasting, all their flavors tasted very similar. Bland cake and tasteless buttercream.Service is very cookie cutter standard. If you come here for a tasting, they give you the standard run down...square tiers or round, here's the price of a slice, lace on the sides or crystals. Moreover, the service here is pretty inconsistent because you never know the baker making your cake. Just ask them how many cakes are made every weekend ;)PS Don't fall for the free cake on your anniversary. Lot's of bakeries have that perk."

"Stopped in at the new location in Watertown today for the grand opening .... meh Maybe I didn't research enough to set my expectations correctly. Not a ton of variety of cookies. Almost all decorated sugar cookies- They were pretty but overpriced and didn't taste like anything I couldn't make myself. If your looking for a cute novelty, this is the place but if you want cookies more for eating I'd look elsewhere. I just don't know anyone that would actually pay 50.00 for 1 dozen cookies."

"This is our new favorite ice cream place. We love trying unfamiliar things here. The friendly staff patiently explain the desserts and flavors, and they are happy to offer a sample when we're not sure. Today I had a gancito (chocolate syrup and white cake) ice cream pop (paleta), which was just big enough to satisfy. But my spouse got a churro platter, two warm churros with three generous scoops of ice cream and maraschino cherries. We had fun trying ice cream flavors capuccino, coconut (with real coconut bits in it), and pine nut (bright pink with real pine nuts). They helpfully gave us two spoons, and I ended up helping my spouse finish it. The space is always clean. It can be noisy with the TVs and occasionally other parties, but so far that hasn't been a problem for us. The restrooms are clean, down two long hallways and shared with other businesses in the building. We were disappointed that a single small bike rack off to the side served the entire building, but fortunately no one else brought their bikes when we visited.The staff are often busy chopping fruit. Next time I'll come with more of an appetite and try a paleta dipped and served with fruit. There are so many things to try. We'll be coming back again soon!"

The process to brew decaf coffee was long and convoluted but it gave me time to write this review, so I suppose that's a positive! I had a soup one day that was very good. You can watch people in Lifetime Fitness play pickleball through the back window if you're bored. What's not to love?"

"This is such a cute coffee shop. I have lived in Rochester for 5 years and just discovered this gem in December. Their cinnamon dolce latte is so good. I ordered a small and received a medium one. I was told that's the size for all the specialty drinks. But when I came in December for the same thing, I got a small. I don't like to drink large amounts but I just played it off. Their chocolate lava cake is also really good and they offer other dessert options as well."

"You can certainly tell the frozen yogurt fad is over. This place was a ghost town when we went. Could tell the employee working was a little bored considering he appeared from the back and greeted us right away then didn't even try to make himself look busy as he waited for us to get to the register. It was a little intimidating having him stand and watch us the entire time from start to finish as we select our options. Sort of made me feel rushed even though I know there was no ill intention- just boredom. Who knows how many people had even cycled through that night having it be a weekday.The cookie dough balls were a surprise new add to the toppings bar- on one fad to another. Was tempted to try but wasn't really willing to risk spending 5 more dollars doing so not knowing how much they weigh.Wasn't impressed by the flavors- or the flavor mash up/twist selections (seemed uninspired or uninteresting and wasn't even tempted to try one).All in all it's still good for a once in awhile trip but still a little spendy for all the other options we have these days after the excitement of building your own has faded."

The place surprisingly was not that packed at all so we were promptly seated. Service was ok. I felt bad for the server as you can clearly see that the shift supervisor/manager was just micro managing the servers and we were sitting right next to the open drink/kitchen area and could over hear what was going on.Food was good for the most part besides the rye toast for a party member which came burnt and late. A bit of a turnoff was when I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, only to find that that the hand soap dispenser was completely dried out.For a small town with not many options available, this is not a bad stop at all. Keep an eye on the hours of operation as they vary by the day of week."

Everybody has their personal Indian spot and luckily for me it's one of the closer ones to my home - I would have been willing to drive for it though had it been further.The things that I would most recommend would be their tandoori murg and their tandoori shrimp. The tandoori murg has delicious, moist chicken thighs and legs that are served over tasty and pickle-y carrots anc onions. It is SO dang good!!! The shrimp is LOADED with spices and flavor and tends to be a little spicier than whatever level you tend to order it at, but it's so dang yummy!!! Together they're a perfect fusion.If you're looking for something a little saucier, their vindaloo is good, and I'd highly recommend their chicken with mushrooms - just all around solid food and a great value for what you pay!Also, if you're trying to get back to eating in restaurants, the place itself is a really classy little restaurant. It's got clean/modern classic vibes that you might not expect - perfect for a mid-week date night!!"
