It's a great place for working if you can snag a spot toward the back, as the front area tends to be busier with people walking in and placing orders. I also appreciated that they have a small room available for up to six people to reserve if needed--a nice touch for group work. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, which was on the sweeter side, but still tasty. It was a bit chilly inside during our visit, but overall, I'd definitely come back."

"A local classic! This is THE spot in summer, especially with their new patio and lots of space to sit. I like to affectionally refer to them as Sebby J's - and if you haven't had a scoop of theirs yet, add it to your end of summer bucket list. Fresh, creamy ice cream with tons of toppings and flavors that often play off Twin Cuties spots and inside jokes (like the Nicollet Avenue Pothole).If you get the idea for a scoop on a perfect summer evening, be warned that others will have had this idea, too - this line gets pretty busy and can take a while to get through, and be sure to scope out a patio spot ahead of time. Prices are average if not slightly higher in comparison to other spots in the cuties, but the flavors are worth it! A Linden Hills favorite, perfect for after a dinner out."

"Went to A-Side for the first time yesterday and LOVED it! It is in a converted firehouse and in nice weather they open the garage doors so you get to enjoy the breeze while being out of the sun. They also have a patio as well. Overall this place has a terrific ambiance.The menu isn't big but has a great range of choices including some tasty appetizers. We started with a couple of very well-crafted cocktails and the charcuterie board which was one of the best I've had in a while. Beautiful cheeses, quality fruits, nuts, and jams. It also included some French Saucisson, smoked salmon and a wonderful pate. We also ordered their side of French bread which was good as well and came with a whipped rosemary-sea salt butter.We then decided to share the French Onion Steak Sandwich with fries. The beef was incredible! Very flavorful and tender, plenty of cheese and fresh greens too on a soft roll. Definitely a knife and fork sandwich however.Between the atmosphere, great service and well-prepared quality food this was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it!"

"My family and I stopped by Cuppa Java to meet a friend while in town for a wedding on a busy Saturday morning. I think the ideal time to visit this popular coffee shop would be during an off time as it was very busy with folks enjoying a really pleasant early summer morning. We sat outside because it was so packed, and also because the weather was truly perfect. Just thinking about early June weather has me prepped and ready for it to cool off again! That being said, I can't speak much to the ambiance as I gave my order to my husband and took a seat outside with our daughter as the line was nearly out the door. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, a pastry, and each of us had an iced coffee. My coffee was really good - about what you expect for an iced coffee, and I remember the sandwich being really tasty. I think what makes this place stand out the most is how adorable it is and how it fits just perfectly into the neighborhood. I'd never been to this part of Minneapolis before and I absolutely loved the charm of this neighborhood. It felt very lived in, and I enjoyed how many people I saw out and about walking their dogs or taking their kids to the park on a weekend morning. I would absolutely return to this place next time I'm in the Twin Cities. I feel like it would be the perfect spot for an evening coffee date on a cold MN night - it just has this charm to it that I think would fit the bill, especially if it wasn't busy and you had time to really savor the pastries and your coffee."

Initially, there were folks conversing and then it drilled down to the book readers and studiers. Music was adjusted accordingly, 5 stars alone for that. Staff was amazing and attentive. I felt spoiled rotten with the ube latte ($6 alone $7 with espresso in it) and I wanted a 2nd cup, but had to exhibit self control on the calories and the cash. Didn't think I'd ever call cracks in the wall and cacti charming but they were. Will be back very soon."

This means some days, if you arrive at 9am, good luck getting a table.... Or even on the weekends, you'll be fighting folks who bring over donuts from Bakers Wife.Shop has pastries from Marc Heu (whose pastries are just meh, like why does everything have to have a coat of sugar over it, including plain croissant or a savory ham/cheese croissant).Also, why is the orange juice $7 dollars? I wished they have food like the pre-pandemic days."
