"Raspberry Chocolate Chip was out of this world!Best hand-packed ice cream in Minneapolis!Lexi from Lowry's recommended it !"
"Cute donut shop on Nicollet. All pinked out and glamorous. You can't miss it. I couldnt believe the selection. Gluten free was in a separate case. They had easy to read signage but the donuts speak for themselves. They are so beautiful you want to eat 1 of each. I had the Maple Bacon long John. It was just as maple'y bacon'y as I expected it to be. Soft and creamy goodness. They have the cutest lil Photo Booth too. I will be back for another!"

"I have been to this wonderful bakery shop twice, and both the times I have had good experience. I liked the variety of pastries and sweet treats they sell, their beverage selection, their pricing, and the good service. In my two visits here, I have gotten cupcakes, donuts, a cinnamon roll, almond puff, and a tea cake. All the items were delicious and to my liking. They were worth the purchase. I talky like them and would go back for more. I definitely recommend checking out this fine bakery shop."
"Delicious donut selection, not too sticky sweet, but so good. 85 characters needed, but what more is there to say? Oh wait, I do appreciate the compostable coffee to go cups & lids, but not the sleeves?"
"The perfect, cozy neighborhood coffee shop! Delicious pastries, scrumptious meals (the breakfast burrito is a personal favorite) and friendly staff! Groundswell also hosts a variety of markets and community events. Prices are very fair and comparable to any chain coffee shop with the added perk of supporting a neighborhood business that supports the community."
"Absolute gem in MN. Being from San Diego, I have high standards for Mexican fare. The margaritas were well made, great salsa and everyone in the party enjoyed their dish. Service was great."
"I came here to meet a coworker for a project and in general enjoyed the ambiance of this spot. It's a great place for working if you can snag a spot toward the back, as the front area tends to be busier with people walking in and placing orders. I also appreciated that they have a small room available for up to six people to reserve if needed--a nice touch for group work. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, which was on the sweeter side, but still tasty. It was a bit chilly inside during our visit, but overall, I'd definitely come back."
"Best old fashioned donuts in the city! Don't believe me? Try them for yourself! Some local Minneapolis coffeehouse sell these donuts, but they're best right from their downtown bakery. They have a basic lineup, but create a number of specialty donuts each week. This time I visited and there was death by chocolate, chai coffee cake and so many more! They also make delicious parfait bowls and gourmet coffee drinks. See pics if weren't already feeling hungry!Be sure to get their newsletter and sign up for the birthday club."
"Small little spot that reminds me of a counter-service Dairy Queen. They make their burgers fresh to order. Standing room only, so don't expect to eat inside. The double cheeseburger was solid. Similar to a McDouble, but slightly higher quality. Fries were also quite good. Well salted, crispy. Strawberry shake that reminds you of something from your childhood. All in all, very solid little burger joint that is also very affordable! Huge bonus for their prices!"
"I came in for a quick meeting and absolutely loved the pastries! The people working were very sweet and patient as I struggled to figure out what I wanted. Also, had music starting that I did not know about, and it sounded really great!"
"A local classic! This is THE spot in summer, especially with their new patio and lots of space to sit. I like to affectionally refer to them as Sebby J's - and if you haven't had a scoop of theirs yet, add it to your end of summer bucket list. Fresh, creamy ice cream with tons of toppings and flavors that often play off Twin Cuties spots and inside jokes (like the Nicollet Avenue Pothole). If you get the idea for a scoop on a perfect summer evening, be warned that others will have had this idea, too - this line gets pretty busy and can take a while to get through, and be sure to scope out a patio spot ahead of time. Prices are average if not slightly higher in comparison to other spots in the cuties, but the flavors are worth it! A Linden Hills favorite, perfect for after a dinner out."
"I'm sitting at home with a serious case of "I Need Sweets! Now" I get my phone out and open the Yelp app...searching for delicious desserts near me. Fletchers pops up with RAVE reviews. Off with the pj's...and slip on my sweats...to Fletchers I go. Upon entering, the atmosphere is great. Clean. Bright. Fun art on the walls...and a display counter filled with the yummiest looking things to eat. But...I need to stay focused...cuz, I came specifically for the Fruitella Crunch. I ordered...The customer service is stellar awesome! I even got a chance to talk all things about delicious food with the owner, Jason. Now that I have found them, I'm bringing friends with me next time to share in the goodness."

Both times I've visited Minneapolis, I've been to Sebastian Joe's. It doesn't matter how cold it is outside, ice cream is life.Hubby and I have had the Nicollet Avenue Pothole and the Oreo. Both flavors were phenomenal! The Nicollet Avenue Pothole was rich and chocolatey with so many yummy mix ins. The Heath bar chunks, the fudge truffles and swirl - WOW. It's an unbelievable flavor! The Oreo isn't far behind. There are tons of Oreo cookies and cream throughout. One of the best Oreo ice creams I've had.I can't wait until next time!

Absolutely delicious donuts! We loved the Bannanarama and Punktart. While I did not try them, they DO offer vegan donut options too! I haven't had donuts this good anywhere else in Minnesota as a brick and mortar restaurant. The stuff actually tastes as good as it looks!Comfy and clean with good AC.Their music is great. The ambiance is great. Staff is nice. This place has great vibes.(Only bad part is parking, but there is neighborhood parking in the area. That's everywhere in this Uptown strip though.)

I've been coming to A Bakers Wife for years and have always had a great experience - the pastries are always delicious, flakey, buttery, and made with love I called them to place a very special order and they were able to accommodate! Very thankful that they could be part of a very special day for my partner and I. Will be coming back for as long as I can!

Was in the area looking for coffee and stumbled upon Angle Food and so glad we did! There is plenty of parking since it's in a retail strip but it was very full on a late Saturday morning. We were lucky to get a spot and headed in. Menu is on the side wall so you can take your time picking drinks and ogling the baked goods. The donuts, cupcakes and pastries all looked amazing. We trapped a maple bacon and it was delicious. We grabbed two drinks to go. One was a mint mocha that got the review of "it tastes like an Andes mint". I opted for the London fog latte with lavendar and it was possibly the best London fog I've ver had. The space is open and very bright and seems to have lots of seats. There is a viewing counter to watch the bakers at work and seems like an ice cream spot towards the back but it didn't seem open. This is definitely a spot worth checking out!

I loved the atmosphere at Groundswell! There's 3 separate rooms in the cafe but it was a bit packed (on a Tuesday morning around 11am). I ordered a latte and banana bread. Both were delicious! Customer service was excellent. Free street parking is easy to find right outside the cafe. Overall rating: 8/10

It's situated on the corner and you almost miss it driving by. I parked in the lot next to it but I'm not sure if that was their lot or not. We arrived at five on a Wednesday and it was dead. By seven it was full though. They have a wonderful menu of things to choose from. I enjoy places that make unique dishes you don't see at other restaurants. Most of the dishes could be shareables since they came with two of each. We started with chips and guac. The house made nachos were really good! Perfectly crunchy and seasoned. The guac was guac - basic, good snack before meals. The potato sopes were a nice shareable appetizer. The smoked cashew-cilantro pesto was really good! The shrimp and quesabirria tacos were really tasty. The quesabirria tacos were huge and the broth was so good! Service was great. Cocktails were amazing. Prices are above average. An overall nice, small, Mexican restaurant.

I came here with my friend. We got a chocolate croissant to share, she got a hot chai tea, and I got an iced london fog. Ambiance was great! We did not have to wait in line or for a table which was surprising because it seemed pretty busy. They were playing all of my favorite songs and the lighting was not too harsh. Our drinks came out very fast and they were delicious! The one complaint I have is that the prices were a bit steep, but the quality of ingredients was prevalent.

Cardigan Donuts is an absolute gem! Their old-fashioned donut is a must-try--it's perfectly crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside, and bursting with flavor. The old-fashioned with chocolate was hands down my favorite--rich, decadent, and absolutely delicious. The apple fritter was another highlight--crispy, sweet, and so enjoyable. I also tried the blueberry donut, which tasted just like a fresh blueberry muffin--such a delightful treat! While the coffee cake donut wasn't my favorite and not a flavor I'd pick again, it was still well-made and enjoyable in its own right.Overall, the quality and creativity of their donuts are top-notch. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu. We were back a few times during our stay for snacking and just because it was so good. The service is exceptional and friendly the moment you walk in the door. The inside is cute clean and cozy with tables and chairs to sit at inside. They were located right off of our hotel and through the skyway so you didn't need to walk outside at all. They did close pretty early around 3pm.

"A Grand Avenue staple for the best croissants, cookies and breakfast paninis. This is a sister company to Cafe Latte and therefore offer the same espresso and moo steamer drinks. Some of my favorites include the plain and florentine croissants, fruit cup, egg/cheese and spinach panini, amaretto, m&m and chocolate chip cookies along with the spice island latte. This is a cafeteria style line so be prepared to wait. There are many tables inside and if you come in the nicer months, they offer a few tables outside as well. Fun fact: I got engaged here in 2022!"
"It's a favorite! The menu is solid. Service is typically good too. They take reservations. Parking can sometimes be challenging - so plan ahead."
"Went to A-Side for the first time yesterday and LOVED it! It is in a converted firehouse and in nice weather they open the garage doors so you get to enjoy the breeze while being out of the sun. They also have a patio as well. Overall this place has a terrific ambiance. The menu isn't big but has a great range of choices including some tasty appetizers. We started with a couple of very well-crafted cocktails and the charcuterie board which was one of the best I've had in a while. Beautiful cheeses, quality fruits, nuts, and jams. It also included some French Saucisson, smoked salmon and a wonderful pate. We also ordered their side of French bread which was good as well and came with a whipped rosemary-sea salt butter. We then decided to share the French Onion Steak Sandwich with fries. The beef was incredible! Very flavorful and tender, plenty of cheese and fresh greens too on a soft roll. Definitely a knife and fork sandwich however.Between the atmosphere, great service and well-prepared quality food this was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it!"
"Great food and service get here early things sell out fast nice place to hang out nice patio Limited parking"
"This review needs an update. I love how this place flows now. Good rearranging on things and that new center table of live wood is just so much more inviting. I still love that you can sit by the windows and dogs have some treats on offer. But this morning, I had the rosemary and apricot scone. It was so good. I basically ate most of it while I waited from my hot chocolate. I'm always wary of getting a dried-out scone and this was fantastic. Perfect little breakoff nibble size pieces of a perfectly balanced scone."
"Up coffee roasters is a gem hidden in an inconspicuous corner of the Como neighborhood. I've bought their coffee wholesale and love the flavor, so I was excited to pound out a few hours of work in the coffee shop today. The interior is fun and modern, and there's great music playing over the speakers. I had the lumberjack latte, which is sweet without being too overpowering. Still tastes like coffee, which is important!"
"Such a cute coffeeshop tucked away in the middle of nowhere in the city. It's a very cool vibe with so much art - paintings and photos, but also sculptures, mugs, teapots, cups... On this Sunday I'm visiting, there's live music. It's a bit crowded, but it makes for a decent amount of seating. They have more food options than I would have thought, and it's tasty! Got a breakfast sandwich with rosemary potatoes, really good.Service is good too! They were patient while I waffled on the hat to get."
"I ordered coffee and some pastries. The person working at the counter was so patient and kind to the guests even though the place was very busy. The pastries were amazing and the coffee was pretty good too! I want to go back and try their breakfast sandwich and burrito sometime! Also, the place is very inclusive and a respectful place for all genders. It's a place you can be free to just be a person."
"Came in for some coffee, very delicious and also did try one of the sandwiches which was also very good, service was friendly and fast! And it was such a nice open area to have a great conversation to catch up with friends!"
"My family and I stopped by Cuppa Java to meet a friend while in town for a wedding on a busy Saturday morning. I think the ideal time to visit this popular coffee shop would be during an off time as it was very busy with folks enjoying a really pleasant early summer morning. We sat outside because it was so packed, and also because the weather was truly perfect. Just thinking about early June weather has me prepped and ready for it to cool off again! That being said, I can't speak much to the ambiance as I gave my order to my husband and took a seat outside with our daughter as the line was nearly out the door. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, a pastry, and each of us had an iced coffee. My coffee was really good - about what you expect for an iced coffee, and I remember the sandwich being really tasty. I think what makes this place stand out the most is how adorable it is and how it fits just perfectly into the neighborhood. I'd never been to this part of Minneapolis before and I absolutely loved the charm of this neighborhood. It felt very lived in, and I enjoyed how many people I saw out and about walking their dogs or taking their kids to the park on a weekend morning. I would absolutely return to this place next time I'm in the Twin Cities. I feel like it would be the perfect spot for an evening coffee date on a cold MN night - it just has this charm to it that I think would fit the bill, especially if it wasn't busy and you had time to really savor the pastries and your coffee."
"The people serving behind the counter have amazing personalities that will for sure have me back in there! The food was great and a good portion size as well! Cute on the inside and they also server some gluten free desserts and also doggy biscuits, lovely place! As a first timer when I went I was confused because their menu on the wall doesn't list what's in the meals. They do have smaller handheld menus I just didn't know they were there. However I asked the questions I had and the man behind the register answered all questions clearly and with a bright smile!"
"Free and fully available street parking in front? Yes please. Rarely have I ever been to a coffee shop where the staff actually adjusted the music style, etc. based on the customers in the shop. Initially, there were folks conversing and then it drilled down to the book readers and studiers. Music was adjusted accordingly, 5 stars alone for that. Staff was amazing and attentive. I felt spoiled rotten with the ube latte ($6 alone $7 with espresso in it) and I wanted a 2nd cup, but had to exhibit self control on the calories and the cash. Didn't think I'd ever call cracks in the wall and cacti charming but they were. Will be back very soon."
"Great atmosphere, welcoming, and inclusive with wonderful staff. I had the Thai iced coffee and it was absolutely delicious. Not sure I can drink other iced coffee again!"
"I've driven by this place a million times and never stopped. However, my husband and I had a need for "a sweet" on the way home yesterday. We picked up a dozen mixed donuts, and DAMN, have I missed out. Each one was better than the last. I was especially partial to the blueberry donuts. We smashed that entire dozen in 24 hours. Def be back! Thank you!!"
"Great little ice cream shop with both traditional and more creative flavors. High quality with creamy texture and rich flavors. And since I can never decide, I love the flight that is also served on the most adorable mini ice cream cones."
"It was my first time here and the combo sub was amazing! It was my birthday so the food was free :)"
"I dropped by recently and was pleased to find it was just as good as I remember from pre-pandemic days. I grabbed the last big table on a Saturday morning. I love the cozy living room feel with well-worn furniture. The service is attentive, and the man who appears to be the owner really cares about what he does. I keep coming back for the fresh deli food. This time I ordered tabbouleh and an low-carb egg sausage cheese cup. Both were delicious and went well with my mint tea. I love family businesses that make you feel like you are visiting a friend's house. My friends who met me there for the first time also seemed to enjoy the space. We will be back."
"I spend too much money at Northern Coffeeworks. I'm a sucker for the expresso drinks here, they are amazing, some of the best in town. The brew coffee seems to be hit or miss sometimes, or maybe I got fancy taste now? The vibe is great for remote work. Lots of wooden tables (not the most comfy) and open space. This means some days, if you arrive at 9am, good luck getting a table.... Or even on the weekends, you'll be fighting folks who bring over donuts from Bakers Wife.Shop has pastries from Marc Heu (whose pastries are just meh, like why does everything have to have a coat of sugar over it, including plain croissant or a savory ham/cheese croissant). Also, why is the orange juice $7 dollars? I wished they have food like the pre-pandemic days."
"I moved from MN but am back for a visit. This is one of the places I had to visit to get my fix. Nice changes: beautiful mural around the coffee order/creation area, new sconces (?) not sure but there is also high top tables and chairs. The vibe is always good and the coffee and food are top rate. I had a seasonal coffee and it was extra good. There is a second room with extra seating that is available for rental. I LOVE AMORE COFFEE. Peace"
"One of the few independently owned businesses in Maple Grove! I always prefer supporting small businesses when I can. Their panini sandwiches are really good. I usually get the Breakfast Panini or the Chicken Bacon Ranch. They offer a variety of milk alternatives, which I appreciate. There's also a lot of different syrups you could add to your drink as well. My only complaint is that I wish their online ordering allowed specifying no cheese! It's easy to do this in-person so I wish I could do the same when ordering ahead."
"I'm obsessed.Originally came here for a takeaway latte and it was so delicious we had to come back to check out the vibe and we were not disappointed. The iced vanilla latte is absolutely delicious. I believe I heard someone saying they make their own syrups. My friends also had the hot and cold mochas and a chai - all delicious. We also shared a caramel roll - OMG, I need all of the rolls all of the time. One of the best I've ever had. Ever. The build your own breakfast sandwich was good, as was the turkey lunch sandwich, spicy breakfast sandwich and the monster cookies (flourless!) - and now I got a cinnamon roll as takeaway to try something new! (Mostly because the caramel rolls were sold out today!) The service was friendly, accommodating and inclusive. The vibe is very Portland-esque which is lovely as I miss the PDX culture. I'll be back (probably more often than I'll ever admit!)"
"Nova Group hits it out of the park again! I didn't realize that this had opened but we were grabbing a quick dinner before doing an airport drop off and Hazelwood next door (also highly recommended) had too long of a wait. We split the NOVARA DELUXE and a Caesar salad - both were delicious. This is definitely a casual place. The plates almost look paper but are not!The crust and the sauce are absolutely delicious and we will be back!"
"A croissant banh mi is my favorite way to eat this Vietnamese sandwich and La Delicious Bread delivers a tasty one. The croissant was huge, the ingredients were fresh, and the pate was super yum. I'm a sucker for pate, just writing about it is making me want to go get this sandwich. I also grabbed a couple desserts, a big ole fruit macaron and chocolate mousse cake. Both were delicious, the fruit macaron was the favorite. Seems to be pretty busy most of the time, so plan to wait a bit or order online if you're in a rush."
