"When my boyfriend and I walked in the lady in the front was having a lively conversation about girl's hockey with what I assumed was a regular local customer. She did welcome us to the store though and I actually liked that she didn't hover over us while we sampled virtually everything since it was our first time. We ended up going for a coffee infused one. She was very friendly when ringing us up giving us a loyalty punch card and suggested we pick up an ice scraper on the way out since it was starting to snow out. The wrapping and tissue paper were cute complete with a gifting tag with their signature moose. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the quality of chocolate. They looked handmade and tasted a tad lower grade than say Belgium but for a local chain it was pretty charming and satisfactory. Will have to visit the other locations to compare."
"Stopped in while waiting for my Chinese order next door.Very cute little place in a strip mall. Wanted to pick up some treats for Valentines day. They have the cutest little novelty chocolates and a decent selection of candies.I picked up a little hammer, saw, puppies, lipstick, peanut butter hearts and some other cute chocolate items. The lady helping me was lovely. Very friendly and offered some cute suggestions. Will definitely pop back in again."

So chocolate stores...Sooo yummy and not enough of them to be sure! I noticed this place while driving down Lyndale one day and decided to check it out. The store is a little different than you might be used to because it has prepackaged cups with only one size available for each product. The cups range from about $10-14 per cup. I seems a little high at first, but the products are wonderful and they have a lot of variety. They also have samples out of everything they carry which is wonderful because you can try it first. The chocolate covered toffees and Pretzel Pip Squeaks are my favorite (little pieces of pretzel covered with chocolate, caramel, and sea salt. They are tiny and sooo addicting!) It would be a great place for gifts if you know some chocolate lovers too...Oh... Valentine's Day....Mmmmmm! I would have given it more stars, but it would be terrific if they had some smaller sizes too for when you want to purchase several different types. Gets a bit too pricey otherwise.

Popped by this sweet little store tonight on the hunt for some gourmet chocolate to bring to a friend this weekend. I was specifically looking for something local rather than going to a chain chocolate store. The store is tucked behind a Taco Bell and next to a Dollar General, so I wasn't sure as I stepped through the door. But I was pleasantly surprised by the cute little shop that greeted me. Chocolates of all sizes and types were laid out on tables. Everything was labeled (always appreciated) and priced clearly. There were all kinds of chocolates -- dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, dipped, molded, filled, etc. There are truffles and chocolate bunnies and also an astounding array of items that would be perfect for Easter baskets in pretty pastel colors. (It is currently late March.)My husband and I took our time browsing the small shop... There is plenty to look at. Along with the chocolates, there are also other interesting treats like toffees and chocolate dipped pretzels. We didn't know until we checked out that there were samples at the counter :-)We really enjoyed the salted caramels, though there was a LOT of caramel inside each one -- good or bad, you decide. We also found a nice box of chocolate turtles for our friend and wound up buying her some toffee too because we couldn't pass it up. Me, I'm a sucker for haystacks, so I bought some of those for me... yet to try, but they look wonderful. The service was great and totally no-pressure while we shopped. But as we checked out a second woman came out from the back (owner I believe) and then insisted on handing us samples and telling us all about products we had already passed up. I appreciated her eagerness and her personal attention -- I believe she was coming from the right place. But at that point I had made my decision and was ready to go. She also told us that they make many of the chocolates right in the back of the shop -- the kitchen is apparently housed in the back of the shopping center. But not EVERYTHING is made in house. Just something to know. They also have a loyalty club, so be sure to get a punch card when you go the first time. Oh, and they have a selection of sugar-free treats for people who are watching their sugar or are diabetic. That's about it... a nice, sweet shop and a great local addition to our business scene.
