"This great moon is way better than the one on white bear. The food quality here is better also. They have the Mongolian bbq here. I actually think their Mongolian bbq is better than khans. The noodles for the Mongolian BBQ is the round not square like noodles. Fried chicken here is also good. I usually make a sauce with the dumpling sauce and chili oil to dip in. If you looking for sushi here there's not much to choose from. It's just the simple rolls they have. Price is just as any other buffets. Only thing is I say that sucks is some of the people that dine there tend to be messy and have their kids running around like it's their house. Other than that, this is my go to buffet on the west side."
"Came in for dinner with friends who are local and love this place. The menu was extensive and I was scared a bit that it offered too much and therefore would be mediocre. Wrong!!! We had a huge feast: egg rolls, crab rangoons, 3 sushi rolls and each ordered an entree. Everything was fantastic and we shared it family style. Our food started arriving less than 10 minutes after we ordered. The service was attentive and pleasant.I only had two sad thoughts... 1) no soup is included when you buy an entree, 2) egg rolls are purchased individually. Both made it feel like I had to pay an upcharge for what is standard pretty much everywhere."

"My luck done run outIf starving and lost, maybeOtherwise, avoidHad been here once before and thinking it was rather meh. Decided to give er another rip. Would have to say meh is a generous compliment for this place. It is fairly cheap for the lunch buffet at $8.25, but drink is not included and there is no dessert. The selection is very limited and underwhelming to say the least. They also seemed to be having trouble keeping up on a not very busy day. Several empty trays on my couple of trips.Beef skewer was fatty and gristly. Grilled chicken was also fatty. Had to spit some of both out into napkins. The cream cheese wontons had no cream cheese in them. Just wonton around a pocket of air. I pretty much just stuck with the lo mein and fried rice which were so-so at best. I would have to be really down on my luck to try this place again."
"I was here recently, and it is a place I would definitely go back to. Even though it is only open for take-out they are so worth it. From when I placed my order to getting my food took like 12 minutes, but I enjoyed my experience. Not only was the lady really friendly, and carefree, but the food was definitely filling. I was surprised at the amount of food with my sweet and sour chicken entree, especially for the price I paid for it."
"In south Minneapolis lies a little holeIn the wall Chinese restaurant that is the kind of gem you want to discover. Family owned and made fresh, each item you order is hand crafted to perfection. Moo shu pork, dumplings and fried rice are some of my favorite dishes but the menu is diverse and delicious. Seating is limited and covid has been tough so take out may be your best option but check this place out, it won't disappoint!"
"NOPE! We ordered a few things from this place and all of the items ended up in the trash. There was a weird flavor to each of the meats and none of them tasted right. We ordered the crispy beef which tasted like it had gone bad or might have never been beef. The dumplings tasted foul. I was really disappointed in this place."
"Great place to stop while driving through St Peter, which is what most people that visit St Peter do, they drive through.I had been driving for a while and needed fuel, for me! This is right on the main drag, was fast and the food was really good. I had the Curried Chicken lunch special which came with the MN staple "fried wonton". The wontons were the bomb and the curried chicken was really good. Hot and fresh with lots of veggies. A great lunch deal and I was back on the road and out of town in no time.Don't get me wrong, I like St Peter and the little shops and great coffee place that happens to be right across the street but for quick spicy food this was perfect stop.KT"
"Came here on a busy Friday evening with my daughter. We were greeted and seated immediately. Everyone was friendly and the place is clean. The prices are very decent considering the high food costs these days. We ordered drinks, water and my daughter had a strawberry Japanese soda. Ordered won tons as an appetizer and they were hot and delicious. The sushi came out fast as well. We tried many rolls: Rainbow Narudo, pink pale, lady gaga, a tuna & avocado role. We took sweet doughnuts home for a dessert. The sushi was fresh and presented well. All of it was wonderful and it came on a boat which was a lovely touch! Our server was on top of her game. She was friendly and let us know they were a tad behind in the kitchen, which we didn't notice at all but she was very kind. She was very attentive to our needs and checked on us just the right amount of times. I didn't go in this place with high expectations and I was pleasantly surprised! They do a booming takeout business and their inside area is also nice, clean and well stocked. We plan on returning and definitely recommend this restaurant!"
"Great food and great portions. The waitress Amanda was the best.. she was very energetic and friendly and provided great service. The place is decorated so cute. They provide a great variety of food options. Every dish I ordered was freshly made and very good. I highly recommend giving this place a try. They have late hours which is nice do a late dinner. Great for friends hanging out or just going for a drink. They also have a full bar. I enjoyed my experience and will be returning."
"My coworker and I ordered delivery through their website. I think the delivery is free if you ordered more than 15 dollars worth of food. The food arrived within 40 mins which I thought was pretty fast since we ordered it during peak lunch hour. Igot the general tso chicken lunch special it came with roast pork fried rice and one egg roll for only $6.25. For the portion and price it's definitely worth it. Not only that food is really good too. I did order the general tso chicken spicy but it wasn't spicy enough for me. So if you love some heat I would definitely order it extra spicy."
"I went for a quick lunch on a Sunday. The service was great and the server was polite and attentive. I ordered the Beef Chow Fun which is a staple of many Chinese restaurants and a dish I use to judge the quality. It was fresh and cooked well, the beef was velveted nicely and was tender. They added green and red peppers which was new to me but the crunch of the peppers worked with the rest of the dish. For a Chinese restaurant in a small town in MN, this place will most likely exceed your expectations!"
"We have gotten take out from here 3 times now. First time was good, but not something to brag about. Second time was actually better so we had our fingers crossed this could be the one! Third time was a charm. Everything was perfectly made and was fantastic. The kids love the mei fun and to be honest, so do I. It's fantastic. We have also tried several other dishes. We aren't a huge fan of the fried rice, but the cheese wontons are probably my favorite around. The little addition of green onion just sets them over the top. We love the triple delight. The shrimp are huge and plentiful. Chicken and mushrooms was great and the kids loved it. The really like the beef and broccoli as well as sweet and sour chicken. 6 year old literally ate the chicken with sauce on the side and 2 veggie spring rolls. He was in heaven. This is by far our go to now. If they made great fried rice I wouldn't have to worry about going anywhere else."

No cocktail sauce, but tons of shrimp. Very good Hot and Sour soup. Has one of those hibachi things but the line is long.

We just moved to the area and were bummed about not having access to diverse food options at first. But then we discovered this place and are very pleased. All the food including the sushi, pad thai, soup, and wontons had great flavor, were nice and hot, and came surprisingly quickly! Also the waitresses were extremely pleasant and so great with our kid. Will definitely comeback. Not sure why this place has 3.5 stars. I will say its not a fancy date sort of place - expect very casual atmosphere!

If you like Chinese American food you cannot go wrong with Lucky Inn. They make all the classics like chow mein, egg foo yung, sweet and sour, etc. The rest of the menu is huge with a lot more options. There is a whole section of combination plates too. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. The lunch buffet that shut down during covid is now open again. Simply great tasting Chinese American food!

Shanghai Chan Chinese Restaurant would have gotten 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that they got my order wrong. I order the house lo mein and when I opened up my bag, I realized they gave me the house fried rice ($5.75). I never like to waste food and go back to correct an order, so I just ate it all up. The fried rice tasted great, but there wasn't very much meat in it at all...so much for the "house" part. I also order a small egg drop soup ($2.50) and that was just what I needed on a chilly evening. The place was small, but clean. I also thought it was an awesome "daughter/father" duo dynamic in the restaurant. The daughter taking the orders and the father making the food in the back. I will definitely be back here to try one of their lunch specials!

Mei Inn is by no means destination Chinese food, but I'm quite happy to have it in my neighborhood. This place is a hole in the wall in a small strip mall. It has some limited space for dining in, but takeout is primarily the name of the game here. You can order online or call in your order and food is ready quickly. The menu is long and has many of the usual suspects that continually hit the spot. The Kung Pao doesn't pack a lot of punch, but contains a number of fresh vegetables, their hot and sour soup seemingly contains everything under the kitchen sink, but is still tasty and like everything coming out of the kitchen, the portion sizes here are borderline beyond generous (especially when considering their very affordable prices). If you've got a hankering for some orange chicken or other Americanized Chinese dishes at reasonable prices be sure to give Mei Inn a call.

Waited a half hour, was worth it for the food was amazing, I added cheese and the chow mein was amazing. A big portion for the price, whew, I'm beyond full, I feel like a fox that ate like a wolf. lolThe only down side was we got the a bag, my meal wasn't in it, so I went back and got it, it was all worth it.Another down side my friends are saying I should eat rice. No, I love chow mein, I don't like rice

We celebrated my sister-in-laws 65th birthday today at your charming restaurant. We had the most engaging server! He was handsome (which never hurts!), beautiful smile and fun-loving attitude. He was helpful with discussing flavors and heat levels in the food. The #13 Asian Cafe Appetizer Taster was fanTAStic!!!All in our party of four ordered different lunch specials. None disappointed! This is our second year "annual" celebrating Terry's birthday we WILL be back!

"Really tasty! I ordered lunch through Door Dash and tried the Hunan beef, fried rice, and hot and sour soup. The beef was well cooked and the veggies were fresh. The sauce was delicious but it wasn't spicy at all and it was marked as spicy. Not the worst problem, but I would've appreciated some spice. The hot and sour soup was really really good. One of the more flavorful ones I've had. Not too spicy, not too oily. It could have used more of a variety of ingredients but other than that, one of the best hot and sour soups I've ever had. The fried rice was good.Overall, good experience and I would recommend. I do feel it's a little pricey for the portion size but the quality is there."
"When I was a kid going to any Chinese buffet usually meant me loading my plate with cream cheese wontons, fried sugar donuts, and General Tso's chicken. The latter being still one of my favorite things to this day. While my palette has certainly opened the door to so many other more traditional ethnic dishes, I can't deny my love for crispy chicken chunks doused in a sweet or spicy sauce. Over the weekend my wife and I had a serious craving for our favorite Chinese takeout spot in St Paul. As you can imagine, I was jumping up and down with elated joy when I found out they had my favorite buffet dish in wing form!!General Tso's Wings ~ super crispy flats and drummies lightly breaded and generously coated in sweet, spicy sauce. Visit their website to order online at newasiapaultogo.com or call 651-647-9264. They do takeout and deliver within 6 miles."
"I find my way to Amery a dew times a year. One is with the Glitterati for crafting and scrapbooking. This year we made it to CG for take-out and were very impressed. I was treated to special attention for gluten free chicken in white sauce with lots of veggies and chicken. Very good and the staff was very helpful. Good knowledge of the gf procedures. I had enough for lunch the next day! Great value. The members of the Glitterati all enjoyed their dishes and had enough for lunch the next day too."
"Chinese Express has a drive-thru and I do not come across many Chinese places that offer a drive-thru option. Genius! Not only is their food cheap, you can quickly pull through to their window to grab your grub and exit for those that are on crunch time. Although the surrounding area and parking lot is a bit run down, the food here is great. When my boyfriend and I lived nearby, whether we wanted to take a break from cooking on certain days or we were just in a rush, we would stop by Chinese Express. They have 28 different lunch specials and my favorite dish to get was their chicken lo mein ($7.89) and my boyfriend would get their Szechuan beef ($7.89). Although it's not the best Chinese food I've ever had, it is among one of the better spots in Minneapolis. They actually season their food well and when you request spicy, they really make it SPICY. I'm not the biggest fan of their egg rolls, but they make up for it with their chicken wings and egg drop soup - my favorite soup to get at Chinese places since I was a little girl. The staff gets the job done and they've been kind each time we've visited in the past. You can order online or takeout over the phone. They do not offer a dining room, so either way, you've gotta take it home."
"Very good lo mein. And the beef and pea pods was like it came right out of the garden. Beef plentiful and juicy. But paper plates and plastic cups and forks. Lucky I use chop sticks. Lackluster room. Great service although we were the only customers during lunch hour. Hope they stay in business."
"Walked in, and we were cheerfully greeted. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. Had a decent sized menu. We ordered a couple of their combination meals. The chow mein was good, the fried rice did not have much flavor, the chicken wings were excellent, and the cheese won tons were greasy. Overall, a mixed dining experience. Definitely had worse but have also had better."
"Delicious egg fu young and hot sour soup.Nice steamed pork dumpling.Delivery prompt."
"NO! Only thing that was edible was the egg roll. Fried rice is nothing but day old rice fried with orange coloring. The meat, I can't image how many times it was recooked/heated, tough and flavorless."
"This review is looooong overdue. Keefer Court has been a favorite bakery of mine ever since I stumbled upon it during a Zombie pub crawl cerca 2009. My now-husband and I needed a bathroom and decided to buy something to give ourselves the ethical ok to use theirs. As we wandered inside we saw people eating dinner (they do have a full menu), but not feeling too hungry, we opted for a quick bakery item. I saw a curry beef puff in the display case that resembled something my Indian father used to make when I was little (similar to a beef samosa, but using puff pastry), so I bought it with curiosity and low expectations. They were even kind enough to heat it for me. But that first curry puff was SO good, it led to another. And another. And then two more to share with our friends. Keefer Court's curry puffs remain one of my favorite treats to this day.Since then I've tried just about every type of bakery item in the case, but I consistently get the curry puffs and red bean sesame balls - one thing that's savory and one that's sweet. Eventually I will need to order a real dinner there because I imagine it's delicious as well, but I'm the meantime the bakery keeps me coming back again and again."
"I've been a fan of Hop Wong since my co-worker introduced me a few years ago. Their food is fairly good, I especially like their wings; which is what i went for. Crispy and good.. seasoned well.I like the new location too. It's not a sit in and dine restaurant anymore, but i don't believe I've ever seen but one person dining inside at any given time. #kanyeshrug So... i think this was smarter for them. For us however, we have to pay for parking, unless you're quick enough to get in and out without getting a ticket. Service was always cool. Owners were kind enough to make sure i knew their new address on Chicago.I'll be back."
"I have ordered from this business through a delivery service many times and have always been impressed with the quality and freshness of their food! Are they the quickest (ready when the driver gets there)...no...so assume a potentially longer wait. But will the food be hot and fresh and cooked and flavored beautifully....yes! I love that they have a fresher menu option where you can choose steamed veggies and then choose the sauce you want and it comes on the side. Am I a health nut and you are wondering if I eat that healthy all the time?! NO...not even close! But I love being able to put on however much sauce, or whatever kind of sauce I am in the mood for, and then I pair it with Fried Meat Wontons...LOL...also delicious ;). My husband loves the potstickers and the Chicken with Veggies. Again...fresh and delicious. Just leave a bit of extra time if you order"
"Food hit the spot when I was hungry but not good enough to merit a return. Too bad, I always like to help the privately owned businesses first."
"I ordered through Grubhub and my delivery came right on time! Everything was packed nicely. The prices are great and they also have online ordering through their site I saw so I will definitely be using that next time! I like that you can get one eggroll for $2.50. Will be back soon!"
"2.5/5The flavors have changed on the stir fry end and they are not good. Mild is too spicy and the vegetables are not cooked well. The bubble "tea" is good but it's more of a smoothie and not your typical tapioca pearls. The mango spring rolls are usually good but not always fresh."
"First time here; if I hadn't known for sure that the restaurant was tucked into the "Relaxing Healthy Center" at the north end of the strip mall, I might have missed it. (I have not asked what services are offered at Relaxing Healthy Center.) The obscure location is part of what I consider the perfect ambiance for a great Chinese restaurant. They put their resources to the food, not a swanky address or fancy decor.Everything was delicious! Our party of five (three adults, two kids) started with potstickers--a.k.a. fried dumplings--at the request of my grandson. I didn't get one, but they looked good. Other dishes included House Spicy Beef (Shui jiu niu rou), Spicy Pepper Chicken, Triple Vegetables, and Cumin Lamb. Portions were generous and everything came to the table piping hot, fresh out of the wok. The Cumin Lamb was the best I've had in town--better than Grand Szechuan in my opinion--a generous amount of lamb combined with cilantro and shreds of red onion, definitely not "saucy" but not overly dry as it can sometimes be. I thought the House Spicy Beef was a little less of a hit, but still very good. Often this chicken dish (it also appears on menus as Chongqing Spicy Chicken) is light on chicken and heavy on the peppers, which you can't really eat...but Northern Kitchen's version was super-flavorful and had enough to keep us all happy. Triple vegetables is essentially the same as the Eggplant in Garlic Sauce that's on the menu, but uses eggplant, potatoes, and jalapeños. It was also good, but I give the edge to Grand Szechuan for the flavor of the sauce. Service was prompt and really friendly. Our waiter made sure we were comfortable and checked in with us a few times during the meal, and the proprietress came out and chatted with us for about five minutes when we were done. I will be back, eager to try some of the dishes I couldn't get to this time."
"Hunan beef is tender and tasty. Huge portions. Great decorations inside the restaurant. Lots of parking in the back."
"We stopped in during the week for a quick lunch. Great service! We were immediately greeted and shown to our table. The Buffet is full of choices from appetizers to soups to main dishes to sides and desserts. Lots of variety. Great prices too!"
"As someone with food restrictions I am always SO delighted when a restaurant cares enough to pickup the phone!!!! I placed an order for fried rice with no egg and they called to confirm if cross contamination was OK! That is incredible. Food was delicious, the fried rice wasn't greasy like some places and super flavorful. Whatever their orange dipping sauce is with pineapple is FABULOUS with their shrimp! Will definitely return- thanks for the great experience!"
"Wow! I didn't think Chinese food could get this bad! The General Tso's chicken is obviously cut up boneless chicken wings (i.e. not homemade, straight from the freezer) soaking in I don't even know what kind of liquid (i.e. not sauce like it should be). The meats in the appetizers taste & look like they're straight out of a can (& not a freshly opened one at that). Had 2 bites & threw it all out. Disgusting & disgraceful. Where the heck is the barf emoji on this app?!"
"I've been to many Asian buffets during my work travels. This is one of the best I have visited. I sampled several items, and everything tasted fresh. There was ample selection to choose from, as well. The foods themselves are typical items that you usually find on Asian buffets, but it was all high quality. My favorite items were the General Tso chicken and the Szechuan chicken. The sushi had good flavor and was not dried out, as is common for buffets. The crab rangoons were crisp and flavorful. I even tried some French fries and mozzarella sticks, which were both excellent. Aside from the food, I really liked the atmosphere. One of my biggest pet peeves is poor lighting, especially in buffets. This place is brightly lit. I also do not enjoy having my ears assaulted with loud music, and the music that was playing was quite soft and low volume. Overall, a good lunch experience. If I return the area, I will be a return customer."
"This place is seriously underrated! I love how you can get both Chinese and Hmong food at this buffet which was so surprising and nice for me because this side of the cities don't usually have a lot of Hmong food options (at least compared to St. Paul). There is both a DIY pho bar (Hmong style) and tri color dessert bar which makes it fun. For other Hmong food options there is Lao style papaya salad, boiled chicken and yes even Hmong pepper!Everything is pretty much self serve including drinks. I do agree that some of the dishes weren't fresh looking or needed to be filled but also it was just starting to get busy so I think they were just keeping an eye out to not waste food. I think for the price and location- I was pleasantly impressed and will be back."
"My favorites are the Vietnamese-style egg rolls and Hot and sour soup when I've got a cold. It's a takeout joints so it's not one for ambience, but food is always ready within 15 min. Our other family go-tos are the Chicken Chow Mein, Beef and broccoli, Steamed dumplings and the cream cheese puffs."
"Bills Garden is a staple Chinese restaurant in south Minneapolis because of their repeatable quality of service and yummy food. Their prices are reasonable and I always leave with leftovers! I love their combination platters and their chicken friend rice. Their sesame chicken and orange chicken are my go to orders but my partner loves their beef dishes as well. If you're ever hankering for some Chinese food I highly recommend Bills!"
