"First time ordering from Amery Ale Works. We are staying at the Airbnb on the farm and it was getting late so we opted for nearby pizza and nachos. The nachos had shredded chicken and lots of veggies. Good flavor but the chicken was a little dry. Pizzas were good and big slices. Good leftovers the next day! Couldn't tell where the pepperoni's were under so much cheese. I couldn't order online and they didn't have the appetizers menu available for viewing online. My husband walked over to order the food and it was pretty quick about 20 minutes for our food to be ready. Loved the Airbnb and wouldn't mind coming back again."
"Hayes' was my 95th brewery visited in Minnesota and just like that, instantly one of my favorites outside of the metro. I feel like this place is much underrated because the beers were absolutely delicious, the decor is greatly detailed and cozy, and the service was excellent. My friends and I shared two flights so we could try as much beer as possible. I already knew that the Cliodhna the Goddess Apple Ale aka cider beer was going to be a hit because I previously tried it at a beer festival and fell in love. It is half beer half cider and amazingly good! We also tried a ton of porters and stouts; Coffee, Irish Cream, and Coconut Vanilla. The Irish Cream Milk Stout was my favorite; incredibly smooth and rich flavor. My friends' favorite was the Coconut Vanilla Porter which was also fantastic and very coconut forward. And even the Coffee Porter was great. We were all really impressed because all of the beers were just so beyond solid and there was not a single one we didn't enjoy. Our bartender was so friendly, talked to us about the brewery and beer for a while. He also let us sample pretty much everything else that wasn't in our flight. He was so accommodating and made the entire experience even better. The taproom is very small and cozied up with classic Irish pub vibes. The decor in this place is insane; so much detail, paintings, portraits, and other little knick knacks. I spent a good amount of time just looking around and taking it all in.This was a great experience overall and I'm definitely going to be coming back even though it's a bit of a drive. It's so worth it and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!"
"Foxhole is the best gem of the Willmar! If you are visiting town do not leave without stopping by. If you're a local and haven't tried- welcome to your favorite hang out. I love the business model of providing an excellent product but also providing a platform for other local eateries to amplify their business at the same time. Order out. Enjoy the best beer and time with friends. Family friendly too! Best combo: Double J beer + Azteca nachos"
"We stumbled across this brewery after leaving the GLOW light festival and what a cozy spot this is. It wasn't super busy, although the Brazilian steakhouse next door had a full house. They had a small selection of beers and a few non-alcoholic options available. We tried the 3Leches kombucha, which was sooooooooo yummy! I tried the raspberry guava flavor which was really sweet, but so smooth. We also tried a beer that is closest to a stout and surprisingly it was tasty. It had cholocately notes and even a little sweetness. My favorite part of this visit was the service. They were so neighborly and kind. They also shared so many cool things about St. Paul and made tons of recommendations for places to eat, things to see, and what to do. I'd go back just to hang into this cozy spot and sip on a delightful drink. If you're in the area, check them out! You won't be disappointed."
"The patio rating is 5 stars! Beautiful setting on the Mississippi River. It's a cool old building built in the 1800s.Food was pretty good! My boys liked their burgers and fries kids meals but they were spendy! $9 and that doesn't include a drink - that $3 more. I had the shrimp and grits and they were tasty! We paid $12 for the garlic fry appetizer. I don't recommend it. The fries were really oily and the cost should have been half that for the amount of fries you get. It's a cool experience if you are in the area - especially if the weather is decent and you can sit outside! Free parking!"
"One of the best breweries in the suburbs. The beer is solid - and there's always something new to try. They have their staples but every visit there's always a fun, unique new beer to test. They have pretzels, popcorn and cookies at the bar and almost always have some kind of food truck. They're getting a pizza place soon and I'm excited to try it out! The service here is top notch - the friendliest people. Overall just a great vibe. Good for a small group, big group - patio hang or inside. Live music, trivia ... they have it all!"
"Love to see Noah behind the bar, he is the absolute best! Super fast, friendly and a good guy the best bartender you could ask for. Thank you MCs for hiring great employees; the kitchen is awesome too always hot and done perfectly the pasta is super tasty, I love it. Thankyou"
"Fun brewery spot to watch some tv, eat some food, or get a drink!Has a great variety of drinks which includes beers, cocktails, mocktails, wine, and more. Always nice to have some variety so I definitely appreciated that. The food also seemed to be a hit and will 100% be trying that soon."
"The BEST hidden gem spot in North Loop before Twins games, or really anytime in the area!PATIO:This patio is unbeatable! Tucked away in North Loop across from Graze, the patio had lots of high-tops and tables, and even some comfy patio furniture for seating. It's a beautiful outdoor spot right on the metro line with greenery around.INSIDE:There is a lot of seating inside for a cozy brewpub feel! They also have a private event space in the back available for event rentals.BEER:They've got a great lineup of brews from their brewery in Burnsville! As a GF gal I don't partake, but my partner is particular about beer and loves everything he has tried from them.FOOD:You seriously can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Their wings are insane - especially the Nashville hot and Cool Ranch Dorito ones. Their burger is delicious and their fries are perfection.Their Detroit style pizza slaps EVERY time - and I love that they offer a GF crust option and it's perfectly cooked! I love the Happiest Meal pizza that is a Big Mac style za. SERVICE:Service is always professional, friendly, and efficient here. Nothing but great experiences during our visits this summer!"
"Bottom Line:A wonderful alternative addition to the usual "meat, potatoes, & gravy" dining found in Litchfield. Menu is imaginative, if rather limited, and very well executed. On our visit, staff was in top form & delightful. Top Line:I hit up the Half Bushel Brewing crew for lunch with a friend one day. Interior is a delightful mix of rustic and traditional decor left from The Glory Days of this building. Seating was comfortable enough and music was low enough not to inhibit conversation.I had a glass of their American Stout. It was roasty toasty on the flavor front so appropriately flavored. The body however was really super light for a stout. It lacked the creamy mouth feel that I look for in stouts. There were also some bitter'ish notes in the flavor profile that rang more toward the IPA side of life, and away from the chocolate & coffee notes commonly found. So the beer was about a three-star affair. If they have their coffee stout on hand next time I stop in, I'll certainly be giving that a try. Our barkeep Stephanie on the other hand was a 10 star, gold standard, bright, energetic, enthusiastic, sparkling personality who lit up the whole place!! An absolutely delightful addition to our dawdling lunch. I had chicken pesto panini sandwich. Taste was diverse & complex. Crunchy outer texture of toasted bread contrasted nicely with sumptuous fillings. Easy candidate for repeat ordering.I sampled the naan & pesto that was beautifully presented. Naan was chewy soft pillowy bites. Pesto had the basil-garlic dance going on, so it was delightful too.If you're in the Litchfield area, stop in and spend some pleasant time with the Half Bushel Brewing crew."
"Enjoyed coming here for a low-key night out. When we arrived, it was not busy at all, but by the time we left, it was packed! Both beer and wine available here and grabbed some selections of each. Also got a couple of pizzas and the spinach cheese bread. Loved the appetizer. The pizza was also good, but they are on the smaller side. Just something to be aware of if you are sharing. All in all, would definitely recommend."

Brought three friends for trivia night. Great selection of wine and tap beers. Ordered a regular crust Soft Pretzelsveggie pizza and added sausage. Great flavor. Tried the jalapeño pretzel bites. There was more spice in the pizza. Very friendly staff and owner. I will definitely be back especially for trivia.

I had the cowboy butter steak and deviled eggs absolutely amazing, only problem is the portion could be a little bigger. I tried the blue razz jolly rancher beer and the fox bite IPA and I recommend both. Definitely a good place to grab a drink

I just heard about this new Lowertown brewery that donates money to local music programs for youth. Perfect location for anyone in the downtown area or traveling in for the evening. I can already see stopping in here before a Saints game. The place is brand new and so nice inside. The staff are incredibly friendly and very informative of their beers. I normally don't love sours but their Jam Session Sour is absolutely delicious. It has pineapple-guava-and something else, perfect balance of fruit and beer. They explained that it's because of the specific starter that they use which produces a much less acidic beer. I also loved the Two-Pac west coast IPA and not just because of my roots. It's an excellent IPA. We had 2 flights to try pretty much everything and then settled on a couple pints to have while watching the Wild play. There was a food truck parked out front, The Angry Line Cook on the night I went. Apparently downstairs they have event space. This place is just awesome and well worth coming into Lowertown for.

Update:We had another great meal. I had the butternut squash risotto and my sister the chicken sandwich. Add some wine and it was a really great night. Super wait staff and nice deck. What a great evening we had at Read's Landing ! We got there and were seated immediately- outside. A beautiful place to sit. We had very good food, and some delicious wine and bourbon. The servers were great and attentive. Very good

Came here on a Monday night about 2 weeks ago! Server was great and it wasn't busy about 6pm. Burger was just okay. Was dry and couldn't really taste the sauces that was on it (flammin blueberry burger). Loved the fries and that they were different than your standard fry. My friend loved the duck wontons. Would love to come back and try a different entree.

Great place to stop before seeing a show at the Ames Center. The brewery is huge. Lots of natural light, tables, and booths for eating. The beer menu is a good size, with options in many categories. I like hoppy beers so chose one called Girl Dinner. It was very hoppy but fresh, light, and nice and cold. Very tasty. We chose a starter of dry rub wings which were really good. Nice amount of spices and the chicken was cooked well so it was tender and juicy inside. Next we had a pizza. We built our own with pepperoni (that awesome kind that curls when you cook it) and black olives. The pizza was good. Little more dough than I care for in pizza but it was good. Service was excellent. They were playing Trivia in the bar when we were there which looked fun. Nice stop.

"LynLake Brewery has been around a while and has a large space with passable beers and a vegan Impossible burger. I'm not wowed by it, but it's perfectly fine (hence the 3 star review). On beers, their "Suck Me Sideways" sour was decent, though slightly watery and more like punch than a beer. But at least they have a sour and recently added another I haven't tried yet.For food, I got the "Greenway" burger ($14) which is made with Impossible meat. The bun and burger were both decent, but the "avocado" they put on the burger is more like one of those fake spreads you get in the refrigerated aisle of a grocery store. That nearly ruined the thing. The crinkle fries that come with the burgers are fine. I wish they also had tater tots, though. If LynLake improved their beers and added a few more vegan options (how about a vegan fried chicken sandwich or a vegan cheesecake?) it might warrant another star."
"Very cool atmosphere, beautiful inside! Great food and service! Will be back for sure!"
"This place is AWESOME! Stumbled across Little Thistle on a quest to find the best trivia in Rochester. The trivia on Wednesday was great, the drinks and ambiance were even better! Lots of great non-alcoholic options like specialty sodas, kombucha (my personal choice), and NA beers. Super relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Great vibes all around! We came when the Duck Truck/Bleu Duck was serving food -- they deserve a separate review (amazing fries). Loved Little Thistle's focus on promoting local vendors!"
"When you walk in it has a really cool decor very retro. The staff was very friendly. And the cocktails were delicious. A few people got plates of beer. However, there were some people in our group that did not enjoy the beer selection. The food options are very random. However, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. They do have pinball machines in the back so it would be kid friendly."
"Met some friends here on a weekendLike the casual vibe and easy ordering from the QR Code on the tablesThen the servers deliver to your table #- quite efficiently run Since I'm not a beer drinker- happy they have some limited cocktail choices and wines- margaritas are always a fine optionFood- the nouvelle fries were great to snack on and the pork nugs were good tooNever tried their pizza yetNice casual spot in comparison to their other high end restaurant on the same downtown main st in RobbinsdaleParking - on the street or small lots nearby but can get busy"
"Heard about this new spot from a coworker, so we stopped by on a Friday night! It drew quite the crowd, which could mostly be attributed to its recent opening, but I couldn't find a reason not to come back! The interior is cool: some upscale finishes with a cool teal wall color and plenty of seating. There was only one spot open when we arrived, but it was perfect for a quick game of cribbage while we enjoyed our beers. Service was quick and friendly. Beers weren't anything out of this world, but great casual drinkers. This spot also offers cocktails and food! I had the Cream Ale and loved it! A cool place to play a game or meet friends in downtown Shakopee. A great addition to the choices in the area!"
"Great area to go for lunch or a dinner party. Staff is very nice and there's a lot of options. The owner Jillian is very sweet and friendly. The design is very unique and has 4 sections to sit at, every area has a different design and vibe. Recommend anyone to swing by even for just the food!"
"Beer is more a fourThe food makes it a five starJust a cozy placeNorthbound is pretty unique, at least in Minnesota. They are a full fledged brewery, but they also have an in-house kitchen and a full bar. Forager in Rochester is the only other one that comes to mind with this trifecta. The beers at Northbound are solid, but I don't put them in the very upper echelon. The Anniversary Ale 2024 that I am sipping on now is fantastic.Love the food here. The Porketta, the Wild Rice Burger, the wings, etc. All awesome. Northbound really knows how to smoke some meat. I'm here pretty regularly. If I lived within walking distance, it would probably be weekly."
"Went to A-Side for the first time yesterday and LOVED it! It is in a converted firehouse and in nice weather they open the garage doors so you get to enjoy the breeze while being out of the sun. They also have a patio as well. Overall this place has a terrific ambiance. The menu isn't big but has a great range of choices including some tasty appetizers. We started with a couple of very well-crafted cocktails and the charcuterie board which was one of the best I've had in a while. Beautiful cheeses, quality fruits, nuts, and jams. It also included some French Saucisson, smoked salmon and a wonderful pate. We also ordered their side of French bread which was good as well and came with a whipped rosemary-sea salt butter. We then decided to share the French Onion Steak Sandwich with fries. The beef was incredible! Very flavorful and tender, plenty of cheese and fresh greens too on a soft roll. Definitely a knife and fork sandwich however.Between the atmosphere, great service and well-prepared quality food this was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it!"
"The atmosphere is fun, the drinks/beer are decent, the food is hit or miss, the bartenders and staff are usually friendly. It's on our date night / happy hour rotation."
"Came to taste some beers and left with a good experience and some surprisingly soft sweatshirts. Small tap room and large store with plenty of clothing and merch on offer. Friendly bartender and good service. We couldn't figure out what the decorative paddle on the wall was for, it had two large gaping hole in the center. Pizza paddle? Probably not for paddling a boat or canoe."
"New brewery! I enjoyed my beer flight, but wished they had more options to choose from. My dad got one of their house made hot dogs, which he loved. I am looking forward to coming back to try their food. I appreciate that they have a large drink menu that includes more than beer, so there's something for everyone. Service is great and the space is inviting."
"The menu here always has something for everyone! I love to be able to order different things to share and their menu makes that easy to do. The Buffalo Chicken Dip is the perfect dip, it is cheesy with just a little spice and comes in a cup big enough to share with multiple people. The totachos are good but as a nacho lover I would get the nachos every time! The nachos are by far easier to eat with your hands too. I recommend the pork and chicken on top of these. The pickle pizza is a MN delicacy. The pickles are some of the best pickles out there!Fat Pants is always hosting events and is generally a fun place to hangout! Another plus is on top of the beer they offer, they also have wine and cocktails on the menu!"
"Fun place. New owners are great and have made many improvements. Great beer plus a full bar for wine and spirits drinkers. Good variety of food trucks on a regular basis. Live music on weekends."
"Wow. Wow. Wow. What a find! Low prices, tasty cocktails and great staff in a cool building. First time there but will not be the last."
"I've been here a couple of times with friends after our weekly hikes. High Pines can accommodate our group indoors and out, and the beer enthusiasts seem happy with the selection of brews. I'm not into beer, but there's always a beverage I can enjoy, too. Service has been friendly and amazingly prompt, especially considering that we're often a group of 10-15. I had a great burger there, and on another occasion bang bang shrimp that was truly banging! Also delicious brussels sprouts and crispy fries."
