"I cannot speak to the food, as we didn't have any, but I can speak to the bowling. We went here for the first time, as a family, and had an enjoyable evening bowling. The alley wasn't too busy. There were fun pop tunes playing. We rented our shoes and played one game. The automated alley and screens keep score for you. It was all-around, family fun, for a total of $47. A little steep, but still worth it. Weeknights you can bowl for $2 after 9 pm. That's a much better deal. This bowling alley also has a special room that looks like it can be rented. There's also a pub/bar where you can order pub food and drinks. Both the pub and the rental room are nicely decorated with trendy, warm colors. They look like decent spaces to spend some time with friends. After 10 pm, the bowling alley has Extreme Bowling with special lights and glowing items. It costs a lot more, but it's popular with the teens/young adults. The bowling alley was moderately loud, with the other bowlers and the music, but still not too bad. It was what you expect when you go bowling. If you're looking to do something a little different, yet fun, with your family, consider bowling here. It's a clean place that will provide a fun activity for all of you. They have bumpers on some of the lanes for those under age 11."
"Pretty standard bowling alley. Nothing special but nothing super negative either. The have quite a few lanes and I went on a Saturday night. It was busy but not overly crowded which was nice. Our lane kept malfunctioning which was quite annoying because someone in our group had to keep going up to tell them every few turns. This made things a bit slower. Some people in the group ordered some food. Artichoke dip was very basic, the wings were a bit soggy, and the pizza was super greasy. I even blotted the pizza but then grease was still running down my hand. I would definitely not go here for the food ever. But, I feel that's standard for most bowling alley's they are not known for the food."
"It's not very clean but what bowling alley is really? Just don't look. The employees are friendly, they have pull tabs and e-tabs,bingo and bowling.....food looks good too!"
"Clean bowling alley (ie: doesn't still reek of cigarette smoke.)Friendly customer service- the woman at the desk checked on us several times to make sure we were having a good time.We went on a Sunday night and it was great, not crowded at all. Shoes were clean and reasonably comfortable, good selection of balls (especially for those of us who need a wider finger hole.) Ugh. That came out wrong, I think. We had to wait just a few minutes for a lane, but they have an excellent bar to kill time in. Darts, pool tables, large TVs and lots of high-top tables. Bartender was very nice also! All in all, a great place to bring your family or friends and have a fun time."
"Great bacon cheese burger the patty was coarse ground and very juicy and tastie and they have gizzards too cant wait to return also the service was impeccable"
"B O W L I N G A L L E Y W/ B A RTalk about a redo !! Looking pretty good in here, and it wasn't too bad before! If I actually bowled, I think I would LOVE bowling here. Black lights, cosmic art, just cool and mystical. Yeah, sexy too.So I had lunch here in the bar, my friendly bartender was super super nice and polite to me. He had the whole room going on besides the bar, but was on it. And it was TACO TUESDAY, but tacos aren't my fav, but the $2 Corona made me think I was back in Mexico.......Great new menu ---- Monte Cristo, Turkey Burger, Hangover Burger, & a Veggie Burger all caught my eye. I had the soup and sand, and it was WAY above average. Very tasty. Turkey Burger next time.Worth the drive out here up 35E. A B O W L I N G A L L E Y IS S T I L L A B O W L I N G A L L E Y"
"I bowl in leagues so I can't review based on bowling "for fun". For bowling league it's a great time! The lanes are maintained well and there's always a clean shot. It is a smaller house with 24 lanes. The tables are nicely spread out and there's plenty of space for five people teams. There's also plenty of space for drinks and food. And they have wonderful food!! My favorite are the tots and wings. The sweet chilly wings hit the spot. The service is always great on league night and you get to know the servers. Go down and bowl some strikes!"
"We came here with our boys to go bowling and they had a great time. They also have an arcade which has ok prices but be ready to drain a bunch into claw games (typical, I suppose). My son had a cheeseburger and said it was awesome which I'll always consider a win, finding a place a 7 year old will eat!"
"It's a bowling alley. What is there to expect? We bowl, we leave, we have a good time while there. My only caution is to NOT order medium drinks unless you're REALLY thirsty! They are huge and don't fit into car cup holders, either. Stick with a small/regular drink and you'll be fine."
"This bowling alley has been here since I was a kid. I have come here many times throughout the years. They have a restaurant attached to the bowling alley and also a hotel right next to it. It is very easy to find from the road!I came here on a Saturday morning before 12 pm to get a $2 per game prices. Not a bad deal! Show rentals are around $3.50 though, so if you have your own bring them! The lanes themselves were find and the seating was fine. When you come on a Friday or Saturday night though, it can be very busy. You may have to wait to get a lane. And it will be a little cramped.Overall this is an average bowling alley, nothing too fancy. The workers seemed friendly. I can't say anything about the food because we didn't get any. Before you go, check and see what days and times are cheaper!"
"Food and FunWhile visiting my brother in Minneapolis, we happened upon Town Hall Lanes. We planned on bowling then finding a place to eat dinner. We arrived and surprisingly had to walk through a restaurant to get to the lanes. Considering that they were clearly a restaurant too we looked at the menu as we prepped for a late afternoon bowlapalooza. We found several items on the menu that looked good, ordered them then proceeded to bowl. The service was fast and polite, the food was way better than we expected for a bowling alley so we ordered more and nixed dinner plan in favor of a longer bowling outing. The atmosphere is equal parts modern conveniences, elegance and decadence mixed with vintage bowling ally. It's artfully styled. The menu was definitely built on the idea of old bowling alley convenience food but it's curated and elevated both in flavor and appearance to match the exacting standards society has for gastro pubs. We enjoyed our time at Town Hall Lanes if was both fun and sated our dinner cravings. Town Hall Lanes was not crowded, parking was easy and ample. The prices were reasonable and the food was really good. We enjoyed the care that THL gives to every aspect of a customers experience. If you're in the area it's an easy all inclusive night out."
"Great little local, small town bowling alley/restaurant and bar. Big, open space. Kind of dark even with lots of windows. Locals stick to themselves and are loved by the staff but the staff still takes care of the outsiders really well! I stopped in for breakfast passing through. Was what to be expected. Fair prices, everything was cooked exactly how I would want it. The bacon was the highlight. Perfectly prepared, still soft and a little chewy but a nice exterior crunch. Just really, really good. I also ordered a Bloody Mary. Tastes made with a pre made mix, which again is to be expected. Came garnish with an olive and pickle. My breakfast and two Bloodys came to $24.75 which is more than reasonable in my eyes. I wouldn't make a special trip for this place but would gladly stop again passing through or recommend it to someone passing through."

We've been going to Great River Bowl every Black Friday for the past three years now. We've never had a bad experience! But this time it was really cool to see that they upgraded their lines to have a more digital/interactive experience. You can even change the theme of the scoreboard TV - something extra that was cute. They did change so they charge you by the hour now, but that's actually kind of nice if you have a smaller group because you can get through about two games in an hour (for four people). As for food and drink, our waitress was very on top of coming to our lane and checking on us. We ordered some drinks (the blood mary were actually pretty good) and an appetizer sampler. No complaints! We'll be back again for Black Friday 2020!

Food? Decent, but 'meh'. Prices and service OK. But...here's the thing....THEY CHARGE FOR SODA REFILLS. What the actual hell is that? That turned us off so much that we haven't returned, despite our desire to support local businesses. Soda costs next to nothing.

Just your normal bowling alley. We went on a Saturday at noon. For 2 people 2 games and shoes It was a total for 23 buck not bad for a fun after noon. The environment was very stereotypical and the customer service was normal. We had some food and it seemed like food that you microwave from a box from the freeze section.

If you're coming for bowling--the place is good. The front desk staff, a younger gal was friendly and helpful. Solid customer service. The lanes were clean and everything seemed well taken care of. Kid's were digging on the games but they definitely need a cleaning and a restocking. Now, let's talk about the food and service. We attempted to order from 3 different spots, all at tables on a Sunday afternoon. We finally settled on the bar area where all the tables are located. It took a bit before the bartender came up to our table, near the bar. She was eating the entire time she was behind the bar. Serving drinks and food without washing her hands. We ordered a couple meals, very basic. It was difficult to pay for our food. There were 4 servers in the area and none seemed to be paying attention to the guests giving them signals they needed assistance. I had low expectations of the food but it was better than the service to be honest.

Although I had never been here before I booked my children's birthday party here which was super easy to do via email. Everything you need to know is laid out on their website - straight to the point which is what I like. The party room is huge and it seems you share the space with others that have parties booked as well. The space is clean and our waitress Jolene was seriously the best! She was so nice I wanted her to join the party. The pizza and other food was okay but kids didn't complain and they had a blast, I'll be back for more family fun for sure.

We love texa tonka lanes, staff is soFriendly and accommodating each time (basically every Friday in winter) we come in. Decent bar food menu - fried food, sandwiches, pizzas (simple) and a classic bar.The lanes are always in great shape and ready to rock for a great bowling experience! Awesome drink specials too! Adult and kid friendly!

We live just up the road and have been in several times for drinks. Service is typically good @ the bar, however we have only eaten @ the bar once (nachos). Saddest nachos I have ever seen. Small order with no toppings. Mostly just chips. So we hadn't ever gone back for food. We came with the kids to bowl with a Groupon for 6 people. It came with a pizza, which unfortunately wasn't enough to even serve 3..so we did have to order a few other items to fill up, we got waffle fries and chicken strips, both were good! Kids had a blast bowling and enjoyed the arcade games too! We will definitely be back to bowl!

"This is my go-to place to play bingo (and pull tabs) with my daughter who lives in the area. It's quite popular and I always make sure to arrive early to get a "good seat." On my latest visit we sat at the bar in hopes of getting better service. There was only one server on duty (along with the bartender) who showed up just about when the bingo started. The staff and bingo crew were all very friendly. We ordered beers and food. They don't have a huge variety of beers, but they do have a couple IPA's on tap to choose from. The food is fine with some interesting appetizers, but it's not why we go there. It was our lucky day and we won a small amount on a bingo and $$$ on the pull tabs."
"I honestly cannot say enough about how fantastic Elsie's is. I've been coming here since I was a kid, but my partner and I had our wedding reception in their event space over the weekend and that's what prompted the review. As a restaurant & bowling alley:Solid food! I love coming here for breakfast. My favorite is their garden vegetable omelet. The tuna melt on their dinner menu is also pretty good. As an event venue:PERFECT. From planning to the day of, things couldn't have been better. I can't recommend Elsies more!Dawn, the general manager, had beyond excellent communication the entire time and was a dream to work with. She made each one of our requests work. The day of couldn't have gone any better. We were able to come on early and set up. The food was incredible, the bartender and catering staff were honestly the best, and there was plenty of room for our 150 guests."
"It's a small town bowling alley and as such, going in with that expectation makes a huge difference. Greasy bar food, good wait staff, and aloof shoe clerks characterize the alley. The beer is cheap and the lanes are often not overly busy. All in all, it's a bowling alley. Pay your money and make your own fun."
"This place is good and have enough lanes for everyone. It's also cheap and have good deals. It also has bar and grill attached on the place and it's good to have good food and play some game."
"Came here to buy bowling shoes from Mike's pro shop. Staff is friendly, accommodating, and doesn't pressure you.We felt taken care of and walked out with new shoes. Excited to start wearing them and know we can come back if they aren't working out."
"Bloodies!!!! Love this dive bar! The food is pretty good too. Parking is in the small lot or on the street, but usually not hard to find a spot."
"This is my third time eating at BLB and I have been pleased with the food each time. For the price, the serving sizes and the quality are good. They have a decent amount of vegetarian options and several beverage options for those who partake in alcohol as well as those who don't. The service here is friendly but I think just like most everywhere else, they may be a bit understaffed. The vibe is retro and eclectic, and I love the old-timey bowling alley. It is neat to feel like I am stepping back in time! If you want to go bowling and eat, be sure to put your lane reservation in first if it is busy. Then you can eat as you wait. The wait times have been shorter than the estimate given to us at check-in, so don't be discouraged if it seems like a long time, it usually goes faster than expected!"
"We recently moved to Foreston and discovered this amazing bowling alley in Milaca. The staff was very friendly and even stayed open late to let us finish our game. Great place for date night or family night with the kids."
"Fun bowling place with a bar and food served. Loved the fried cheesecurds (yes, there was a squeak so you know it is fresh) and the gourmet popcorn with parmesan, Italian seasoning, olive oil and butter was absolutely great. There's all sorts of food items on the menu, including salads and ofher full meal items. There's a good list of beers and ciders, and it looks like there is a full bar as well. The server comes down to the table at the pane that you are assigned to and takes your orders there. The bowling alley itself has a great nostalgic feel to it, and after a certain time, the blacklights come on. Prices are fair and there's also a student discount if you bring your student ID. There's also a lot of parking in the back and a volleyball court in the lot."
"Great place in town with great food and drink options. Pool table, dart boards and bowling for entertainment. Super friendly & helpful staff. Burgers here are great. We frequent here monthly if not more often and have never had a bad experience. Prices are fair, too!"
"Bowling alley bar in the industrial section of New Ulm. Decent happy hour, fried food and bowling."
"Horrible service time, granted I'm here on a Thursday at 6 in the evening, my friend and I have been sitting for over a half hour and have not gotten any recognition from a server. If you want fast service or a quick beer, this is not the place."
"Small-local bowling alley. Street parking, but there is also a lot around the corner. I got a burger, the cheese curds and then our group ordered pizzas. It was packed that day so there was a wait, but everything was good. Staff was helpful. Good for groups. We were there with a youth hockey team and there was a birthday party just leaving.Nice place."
"Our group of 12 family members from 23-61 had the best time on Black Friday at whirlyball. We are always on the lookout for things to do when the extended family is in town for thanksgiving so decided to give this a try. What is it:a mash up of bumper cars, track ball played on a small basketball courtHow it works:-5 v 5 -red v yellow-games are 9 min so we subbed in and out-scoring is automatic -fun for all adults-lots of different strategies-defense? Offense? Blocking? Hide by the goal?We booked 90 min but the standard is an hour. Looked like they had about three courts, we were upstairs. I did later find a couple of bruises in odd spots on knees and hips and you have to sign a waver. You get instructions before and steer with a sort of joy stick that is easier than the complicated description but once you start doing it you'll get the hang of it quickly.Note-you really have to hit the exact center of the basketball backboard sized target to score-no mulligans in this game!"
"Best nachos I've ever had (and huge!!). Great laneside, unless you're sloppy, chased with an adult beverage. Sunday brunch also well worth the price. We stopped on our way to the airport for a nice indulgence to tide us on the way home."
"This venue is good for watching live music and has a huge parking lot. The only think I can say that would bring this venue to a 5 star rating is if they put in a little extra into making it a little fancier. We paid extra for good seats and the tables could have used some tablecloths or something to hide the fact that they weren't in the best of shape. I think they could upgrade their furniture or hide it better. Live music is really the only reason I've been here and the sound system and lighting seem to always be very good. If you come here for live music, you'll enjoy yourself."
"This place is so fun! Yes it gets busy, but all of the staff is attentive and friendly! The food at the Italian Pie Shoppe is phenomenal!Great drinks!!!"
"Friendly service. We each had a fried fish basket and the fish was just right - crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside."
"Scrumptious steak with mushrooms and onions. Both our steaks were perfect. I had the Citrus salad dressing that added a zesty summery taste to my salad. Our friends had the baked walleye with rice pilaf. The rice combined wild and white rice and colorful vegies--My friend enjoyed every morsel. It is definitely worth the stop."
"Came here with my family of 5 on a late Sunday afternoon. It wasn't terribly busy and we didn't have to wait for a lane. Employees were super friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking in their lot. I think I saw a patio too to eat and drink. We ordered some food and drinks from the bar that did not disappoint. There also appears to be a few bar-type games as well. Already thinking about when we can make it back. We had a great bowling experience!"
"Nothing like an old school bowling alley. Country Club Lanes has been here for years! The sign might have some new red paint, but not much else has changed! What I can tell you it's a fun place to bowl, have a few drinks, and enjoy some typical bowling alley food. The shoes, seating, bowling balls, electronic score boards, and bathrooms are all very well kept and clean. Btw the women's bathroom has the worst pink paint ever, but that's besides the point! The service is excellent! They have a party room and it's great for your kids Bday party. They have the ramps and bumpers too! I think I may need them every once in a while! They have a few video games that the kids are always drawn to... Just a great family bowling alley that's pretty reasonably priced."
"This place has the best lanes, great food, and even better prices! Open bowling 12-6 on weekends late fall through spring. Strongly recommend checking out this small town bowling alley!"
