Parking costs here so save yourself $$ and bicycle here! Currently the playgrounds and buildings (as well as bathroom buildings) are CLOSED. There are portapotties throughout the park. Lots of walking/biking available with no congestion (we were there a nice Sunday afternoon).

Pleasant walking trails that wind through the woods. This is a highly developed park (I would prefer it were left more natural), with a water park, acres of picnic shelters, and a stable. Includes a Veterans Memorial and - a bit of a surprise - a restored tank used in Korea and Vietnam.$5 entry fee per car. Did do the water park some years ago, and have to admit it was fun (especially the wave pool).

Trails for Hiking, Biking and off road walking adventures. Horseback Riding, Camping, The Wave Pool at BUNKER BEACH with Slides A LAZY RIVER, Fun Little Playground and a Concession Stand an Activity Center full of classes and projects, an Archery Post, a Veteran Memorial Recreation Area, Picnic areas, Bathrooms everywhere, Pavilions and Playgrounds for groups & kiddies....A Beautiful Golf Course...etc...and MORE... They do offer a VERY challenging XX-Ski hill in the winter. If your bringing your Bike, Don't Pay the Parking Fee. It's $5.00/day, $1.00 / hour or $25.00 for the whole year. There are plenty of areas in the surrounding neighborhoods to park and pull your bike off. The ground are really nicely kept up. I'm not ever feeling I'm going to dump my bike from under maintained trails. I think I know where Anoka County if putting their money. This place is really well kept. If you are a trail person be prepared for lots of hills and turns. It's beautiful, nicely shaded, the bugs are not even horrible. If your a mom looking for a playground with something different and don't want the wave pool excitement, this is a nice change. The activities center has treasure and scavenger maps and hunts. They really cater to enjoying nature here. It is worth the time to check out.

We usually do a hayride in October with our Scouts and always have a blast on the rides. The staff is great to work with and we would highly recommend it.

It makes me mad that as an Anoka County resident that I have to pay to get in here....so I don't. I illegally park in the residential area across the street then walk in. The trails are really well maintained and the park is lovely. The dog loves her walks here as do I.
