Your go to for local home cooking and home feel. Bumps ticks all the boxes for your local diner. Complete menu, breakfast all day, and the best Commercials in the state!!! The service is always great and the food never fails to hit the spot. Oh and the desserts, don't leave without enjoying one in house or taking one home!As of 6/19/2024 The state has decided to do road work in front of BUMPS for the summer. PLEASE take the time to support local businesses since the construction has slowed business.

Food was not that great. I ordered a burger and the patty was definitely frozen. Fries were just ok. If you're desperate, it'll do but I would hold out for something better and travel a bit further.

Great local restaurant. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Food is good and consistent. Bacon is great! The Cobb salad, and the desserts... mmmmm. Go see Sue in the morning, have a pancake and bacon; or in the evening for a hot beef commercial. Definitely worth the trip!

This place is a home-run stop! Service by people who know what they are doing and provide customers with courteous, effective and efficient service. Water glass is always filled, the coffee pot comes by regularly. The food is obviously prepared by people who care about what they are doing. It's like stopped at mom's for lunch and she makes your favorite meal. The menu is very robust, you'll have to go back because there's menu items that need to be experienced.And, finally, just a good old home town restaurant ambiance that we adore.

A classic family style restaurant that is a spitting image of Perkins, but with the mom and pop feel. Although they are known for their hot beef commercials, we stopped in for brunch on a Sunday. It turns out we were lucky that we got there when we did because the line was out the door by the time we left.They have solid coffee, which the waitress made sure we didn't run out of. I had the breakfast skillet, which was fantastic. Everyone else in my group liked their food as well, but from the looks of it the omelets might be the way to go here. Just one person in the group ordered an omelet, but it was massive and they definitely did not skimp on the fillings. Paired with hashbrowns and toast, you have a large meal there! None of the other meals are small by any means, but if you're looking for a large way to start the day I would recommend the omelets!This place is everything you'd want and need from a small town restaurant.

Under an hour past the city if you'd prefer not to stop in the hustle n bustle city.Comfy booths, decent homey neighborhood feel, nice wait staff. The locals eat this place up!Food: 3 starsGot eggs, bacon, hash browns and GF got the Commercial beef. Eggs ok, bacon good & thick, hash browns undercooked. Commercial beef did not look appetizing, but tasted good. Kept the leftover tasty beef to put in cooler to use in a sandwich later on road trip. Not so great that I'd seek it out if on another road trip, but it will satisfy.Service: 4.5 starsVery friendly, attentive service. Not too over the top, busy enough, and a slight bit of teasing made it feel genuine. Service is what makes this place shine.Bathrooms: 3 starsOk, rather long wait. Could do with 2 more stalls if a remodel is in the cards, so guests aren't waiting for a longer than average wait!

A great comfort food experience. There aren't many places that serve liver and onions (worth the trip if you like liver), hot roast beef sandwiches, burgers, and more. All hot and freshly prepared. Combine that with great service and we will be back for more.
