Buffalo Exchange

I visited Buffalo Exchange this previous weekend with a couple friends after another friend recommend it, having got much of her wardrobe from there. Upon walking in, we felt welcomed by the front desk employee and were already in awe of their amazing wardrobe and style! The three of us searched through the many racks, each item in great condition and fairly priced. We all found at least one item we knew our wardrobe needed. We didn't have to wait even a moment at the dressing rooms, there was someone staffing it the entire time, so very kind and helpful! There was an instance where an individual entered with maybe some mental illness or substance use, and the staff handled it wonderfully - ensuring the individual was not forced outside in the cold and handled it professionally (did not see details as a customer but only good interactions and the individual being pleased/responsive and treated very humanly). Just another reason to come back here . I found a couple great items and am already planning to return. I also really liked the bag/ 5 cent token that you can choose a non-profit/cause for. Highly recommend!!!

This place is so much better than Plato's Closet! From a buyer's perspective, staff know what good quality and trendy clothing is. They are great at knowing what is valuable and fashionable, and I've always gotten great cash every time I come in to sell! they also take the time to review each item with you on why they do or don't take it and how much they would price an item they do take. I usually make around $80 each time I go! I also appreciate how kind and personable everyone is! It's nice to be in a more progressive store and I always feel so welcome. I love going here as a buyer and seller. Their inventory always has nice pieces and you can score some unique vintage finds! Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Coming from a city where the Buffalo locations are extremely messy and subpar, this Buffalo Exchange carries a wide variety of clothes from not just fast fashion brands. It can definitely get a bit cramped trying to squeeze between people and the clothing racks, even on a random weekday around noon.

Waited over an hour to sell clothes, only to be turned away because the staff "manager" said they were closing in 2 minutes. This left me and one other customer who waited forever in line to not be served. All the while the two buyers were extremely slow, with one gabbing forever with anyone who would listen and the other taking obscene amounts of time not behind the buying register doing God knows what. Ummm, hello?! Ever hear of customer service? At the very least, tell those who have waited to be served that they very well may not be if it gets to closing time. And obviously more logical would be to take the extra 10-15 minutes to go through my and the other guys' items past your closing time. Whatever. Every other similar store in the Twin Cities pays much better, take your clothes to Plato's Closet or B Resale instead. You'll have a much more respectful and pleasant experience.

I'm a regular here! This is a great place to buy one of a kind items at very fair prices. I was just in yesterday & they happened to have a power outage & the manager politely called me to let me know if i wanted to reschedule my existing appointment. Turned out they fixed the problem & actually bought some of the items i had for sale. Dakota was super friendly & very helpful. I will definitely be back here to purchase more items! Great selection of clothes and really good selection of shoes. Went with my boyfriend to try and sell some clothes and we had quite a lot. The associate (Jaylen??) was super helpful and funny, making the process a lot more enjoyable. If you're looking to get top dollar for selling, I recommend ebay but their store credit is worthwhile and a great option if you're just trying to get rid of things.

they dont wash the used clothes they sell.. so if you buy or exchange clothes here, make sure you wash them twice when you get home.

I've tried a couple different places to sell used clothes. Here they were super quick for how busy they were, they were friendly, they were organized, and I got way more than I thought I would compared to my other experiences.

I have enjoyed shopping here for years. I used to work in consignment and its not always easy having to pass on customers items and I get why some folks on here sound frustrated but it is a business not a charity :) the staff has always been helpful and I love that they offer/sell fun, reusable shopping bags.

Ugh... condescending, patronizing buyers... Do yourselves a favor and just give your awesome stuff away. When I bring stuff in I really don't appreciate the, "oh, these are kinda cool" BS... um... I'm cooler than you'll ever be! FU??
