Small, Quaint, dimly lit ambiance was absolutely the best place to dine with my friend. The service was impeccable with seamless silverware and table wipe resets after each course. I would come back and try other dishes. I think what we ordered, we weren't blown away at the price point - except for the sticky toffee pudding. I think any dessert would be good. The POMMES DAUPHINES were good. They are friend potato and cheese ball with a chip like dusting out the crunchy outside. Rich and flavorful on the inside. The gruyere was a perfect pairing being not too saucy but hold its consistency to stick on to the potato.Butternut squash AGNOLOTTI - the pasta in this was really good. Unfortunately the drenching of it in the brown butter and cheese sauce made it too rich. Some nice little bites of flavor with the prunes and chestnuts. Celery root TORTELLINI - probably our favorite savory dish of the night. The broth was deep in a nutty chicken flavor and contrasted well with the sweetness of the celery root creamy in the tortellini. The mushrooms are meaty and just go so well in the dish.SPAGHETTI, Brussels sprouts, caulini, brown butter, maitake mushrooms, guanciale - was probably the most disappointing. It is a mix of french ingredients with a small asian twist in the way that it is more of a stir fry. We found this dish to be a bit dry and lacking flavor other than the hint of fattiness from the guanciale. There are a lot of yummy veggies that were cooked well but then not much else to the dish. The breadcrumbs were a welcomed texture but exacerbated the dryness of the dish.STICKY TOFFEE cake - a real winner here. The cake was moist and paired well with the citrus of the orange. The mandarin orange sorbet was amazing and a nice substitute for the vanilla ice cream you see at other places. Can't forget the chocolate sand which is all the rage now and its good!!

Bucheron was such an incredible dining experience! It's cozy and intimate inside which I loved. The waitress and staff were attentive, helpful, and so friendly! Lyonnaise salad - perfect shareable starter! I could eat this salad every day. Butternut squash agnolotti - warm, rich, flavorful. Would definitely order this dish again!Roasted rutabaga and carrots - not my favorite honestly but the presentation was pretty American wagyu steak - Delicious, made perfectly, easy to share! The potato mousse was such a nice touch as well. Cinnamon roll - I don't always order dessert but we did here and I don't regret it! Soft, flavorful. Loved the candied pecans on this!

Wanted to try this out since we found out that Chef Adam and Chef Cory left Demi and started this place. Finally got a reservation there and went to check it out.The restaurant is small but cozy and we were seated right away. There is no parking lot but it wasn't hard to find parking on the street. We were seated right away and offered water and given the menus. They have a coat check so we got our jackets taken before we sat down.We started off with some drinks that were really good and then picked a few items on the menu. With the group our size, we were able to try quite a few dishes and they were all very very good.We ordered the Pommes Dauphines, the venison tartare, the Foie Gras, the bone Marrow, the pheasant and the steak. Everything was great. The food was really exceptional. The pommes dauphines were fried perfectly with a crispy exterior and very soft and fluffy interior. The sauce that came with it elevated the dish. The venison tartare was perfectly minced, not too chunky and not too fine. Perfect texture and tasted great with the egg yolk. The bone marrow was tasty and went great with the perfectly toasted bread slices. Crispy with a little char. The foie gras was the highlight of the little plates. The warm scone with the jam and the foie gras were a perfect combination. The service was great. Very attentive while not being overbearing. The servers recommendations were spot on for both the food and drinks and someone always came around to ask for water and drinks when we were out. They all worked together and even if our server was busy, someone would attend to us.

Bûcheron accomplished exactly what it set out to do - create Minnesota-inspired dishes with a French twist. Highlights on the menu were the pommes dauphines, butternut squash agnolotti, and sticky toffee pudding. Some of the other dishes we tried, like the whitefish dip and spaghetti, didn't quite live up to their price point. The restaurant is cozy, but expect to be very very close to your neighbors. The service was one of the best parts of our meal, the waiters were very attentive with coursing out our meal, replacing dishes and silverware between each course, and making sure we were well taken care of.

I'm not sure why more people aren't talking about Bûcheron. My husband and I relocated to the Kingfield neighborhood from San Francisco and were excited to see this spot in the neighborhood. We both agreed that this was the best meal we've had since leaving San Francisco. The waitstaff was fantastic from start-to-finish. We've now been back twice with plans to return a third time, and have recommended to others in the neighborhood. Must tries: - Any dessert on the menu (see attached photo of the Corn Cake)- The Pommes Dauphines- Their seasonal soup - it was mussel on our visit, incredibleThey also recently added a bar menu and have amazing cheese curds!

Yum.My husband and I were celebrating our 7 year anniversary and what drew me to Bûcheron when I was looking for a place to celebrate was the sticky toffee cake. Lucky for us, our entire meal fit the bill. This place got busy quick for a Monday at 5pm, so make a reservation. It's easy to locate, just use your eyes, street parking. We had the smoked eel, foie gras, turnips, tortellini, lions mane, and of course, sticky toffee cake. We enjoyed all of our dishes, the standouts for me were the foie gras and the tortellini. I've never had foie gras served with a biscuit and raspberry jam. Only thing better is if I was eating a mouthful of each of the component out on the countryside somewhere in France. The celery root tortellini was like eating a warm hug. Whoa. The shaved truffle was a special, the subtle notes brought out more of the rich broth. They brought out a special profiterole with raspberry sorbet and pistachio cream for our anniversary. Both desserts were excellent. The staff were great, so attentive. There's a 21% hospitality charge automatically placed on your bill, and they don't ask for additional tip on the bill. I appreciate this because there are many places that charge a hospitality fee these days then point out it's not gratuity and suggest an additional 20%. That's just robbery. Bucheron is a solid option for a special occasion.

First off food and service were superb. Staff gave the environment a friendly feel and were knowledgeable of menu/drink offerings. What I can't get past when thinking if I would return is how grossly inadequate the size of the interior is. So tight that once seated there is no room left for the wait staff to service the restaraunt. There may be a foot between tables and to no fault of their own I was bumped our entire dinner by the wait staff. If this were a fast casual type of restaraunt wouldn't be a big deal being so close to your dinner neighbor but for a place where dinner for two will be over $200 I just can't rationalize how compact of a spot you are expected to squeeze into. Although tight the restaraunt is beautiful and we had a wonderful experience.

Such a gem! Visiting from California for work and found this place from a food blogger who raved about the flavors & experience. It's a small but cozy dining area and we sat very comfortable. The dinner menu and wine selection were fantastic. I was shocked to see such a great list of offerings. The chef definetly knows what he's doing with local produce and proteins. For us the pricing was very reasonable including wine. The petite plateau was a great way to start the meal. Oysters briny but just right, prawns sweet and large, crudo flavors (chefs kiss). The sauces are a great pairing. Foie Gras. 10/10 loved this dish. All the components are perfect in this dish. Wagyu flat iron. 9/10 only because it was slightly chewy but it could be the cut vs anything. It was a good dish. Halibut. First time I have ever had camomile in a savory presentation and I highly recommend. Every single component of this dish was spring perfection. Rhubarb Tart tangy, sweet, perfectly balanced with the ice cream. Camomile Berry Tea. A clean floral finish to dinner. Love the presentation and flavors. I can see the influence from Chef's experience and time at Cyrus in the menu. I would put this experience up with other 1 stars IMO. I hope to return on my next visit to MN. Highly recommend you visit for a special occasion, date night or travel.

This is a neighborhood gem! While it's nearly impossible to get a reservation (38 seats), you can usually belly up to the bar if you get there early. Adam & Jeanie have something special here. Everything is prepared, plated and delivered with care, and each dish has something to say. The menu changes regularly-on my last visit Morel mushrooms were on the menu!! If the Pommes Dauphines is there during your visit--try it.Regardless of what you eat, make sure you save some room for sweets at the end of the night.
