Driving range

I don't have much to compare this place to since it was my first time ever golfing. Other than being at the driving range 2 other times at a course in CA. The prices were cheap and coming from the twin cities it's not that bad of a drive. The one main complaint I'd say is that we had a tee time at 1:45 and we didn't start till almost an hour later because they didn't have carts for us to use. I also suggest maybe 2 porta potty's along the 18 hole course rather than just 1. I have a feeling those trees are growing from a lot of pee. Which brings me to my next point. Though like I said it was my first time so I don't know what's normal but I felt like there were a lot of trees at this course. Kinda hard for a beginner. But overall it was a great day and I had a blast golfing! I would definitely try this course again.

It had a feeling of a Muirfield Village or Augusta like. Of course not the same manicured masterpiece but the greens were great. They ran fast, in and out of the shade but held shots well. The likeness to the two courses above are because of the tee shots. Plenty of the tee boxes are in a wooded chute. The fairways are rolling and generous. I belong to the golf 18 network and only paid 37.00 for a cart and 18 holes for my son and I, a steal. I usually hit 260-280 off the tee but with plenty of 400 yard ish par 4's I found it challenging. Greens I give a solid A, layout solid A, fairways B, tee boxes solid C(shade tends to keep most of the boxes thin and ratty). All in all, fun fair course. There are about 5 tight holes that can eat up bad shots so beware. Those holes you will detect right from the tee.

This Course only needs a Ground Crew and head Greens Keeper and a Good Head Pro to make this a Top 5 Course it plays nice but a bit on the easy side ,tee boxes need to be cut a bit shorter and greens need just a little bit of help for the money you cant go wrong!

The few greens that were not dead and marked as under repair, weren't much better. Pace of play leads something to be desired, also. Empty water stations on a 100* day would have been fine if there was an on course beverage cart, but unfortunately there was not.The claim to fame here is low cost golf that's just what you'll get. When you don't charge much you don't have much income to use for maintenance or amenities, so I guess we weren't too surprised. I doubt that the greens will heal by season's end this year. Staff was nice - conditions were not. No reason to return.

Seven of us played golf at Bristol Ridge on Saturday June 24 and couldn't believe how poor the condition of the course was. Fairway's we're hard and dry. Temporary tee boxes on some holes. A number of the greens had dead spots. I've played here in the past and have never seen the course in such bad condition. Furthermore we paid $55.00. Doubt if we'll ever be back.

Golf and eat here! Course was in great shape. Prices very reasonable for round of golf and food, especially compared with courses in the Twin Cities. Beverage cart circulated frequently and was well-stocked. Deck overlooking the scenic course is beautiful. Indoor and outdoor seating to eat. Menu has variety and food was good. Food service manager and other staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Pro shop even sells Bermuda Sands brand and was well-stocked with apparel for men and women. Even other golfers there were friendly to one another. Positive, relaxed vibe. Course would be challenging for beginners but doable because they don't overbook tee times. I'm looking forward to golfing there again.

Having played this course a few more times since my initial review, i still like it an awful lot. Like several of the other courses in the area just east of the St . Croix river, the course features rolling, scenic terrain and the steep wooded hills can make for some very challenging golf shots. These courses aren't ideal for beginning players. Bristol Ridge is well maintained and is a good value, in my opinion. The only real beef i have with the course design is the second hole, which demands a nearly perfect drive off the back tees to keep the ball in play. Other than that, this is a really nice course, a very good value, and well worth a visit for golf enthusiasts.

The employees disrespected me and took my money, they claimed I only payed for 9 holes for my cart so they made me walk the rest of the holes. This was outrageous and I can't believe they did this

This is a very nice course for experienced golfers. If you are a somewhat beginner .. beware. You will be yelled at to golf faster ... so don't waste your money.

Maybe a 3 1/2 but certainly not a 1 star as the previous review. Hard to imagine it is the same course. The one I played this week was with temps approaching 100 degrees. The pro shop had a big cooler full of ice cold water as well as all the coolers on the course were full and cold. Yes, there is no beverage cart. The course-fairways were well mowed and maintained. Decent green grass but not lush as a 5 star course. Fairways were decent and some may say generous for people less than perfectly straight off the tee. Greens were medium to large/medium and in very good condition. One thing about the greens though is that they all break more than you think. Drove me crazy all day. Super hot and hazy doesn't help for reading greens. No part of the course was under repair or in need of it. I ususally judge a course primarily on conditions and more importantly, was it fair? This was in very good condition and very fair if not somewhat difficult. There were no holes where you thought, "Wow, I wish that was on the scorecard!" or "I would have played it way different if I knew what the hole was like."Hacker Central also played it earlier this year and seemed to like it also. Favorite love/hate hole was #5. Par five that bends to the right with for each of your three approach shots. And of course as it bends around to the right, the fairway slopes away to the left at each turn. Not good for a draw like mine.
