We absolutely adore this spot! We've been here once and ordered take out multiple times everything has been hot, tasty and everyone who works here is incredibly friendly. They are great with food allergies so if you have celiac, or are avoiding gluten this is definitely a great option in the Hopkins/minnetonka area! Love how healthy and scrumptious the food is. Faves are: the roast chicken, plantains, catfish, taro fries, rice and beans and if you're in the mood for dessert try the butterscotch pudding. Nice little outdoor patio too.

Brasa's Hopkins location is great for quick service and there is some seating available. Some tips from my trip:1. If you tip for counter service, bring cash. The credit card machine doesn't do tips.2. The chicken bowl I had was a lot of food. Maybe get it as takeout even if you are staying so you can save some for later.3. The sausage overwhelms the chicken in the bowl. Instead of a chicken bowl, it should be called a sausage and chicken bowl. This was my first time there. I tried to order online, but the website didn't work.Nice people and quick service, but I think I'll try a different dish next time.

Cute new location, it is tiny inside. I recommend to do take out if you have a big group, or try to get here early. Food is always amazing just like their other locations. I usually get their chicken, yucca fries and corn bread. Highly recommend.

I have been to the Brasa NE Mpls location. I found the food there extraordinary, the space larger and more welcoming than the one in Hopkins while the NE Brasa's atmosphere was somewhat frenzied especially in comparison to the Hopkins restaurant. What hasn't changed for me is the warm and gracious staff and the challenge with sustaining an indoor conversationThe newish Hopkins locale (formerly a KFC outpost) seems much more suited to take out by virtue of size and counter ordering. However it still looked a bit larger than I had anticipated with ~a half dozen tables and a wall of shelf-top window seating.Four of us took a table in the corner for a birthday celebration (not mine). We made our choices and subsequently placed our orders at the front counter. In fairly short order our meals were brought to our table by two efficient staff.Frankly I thought that the prices were on the higher side and the portions on the minimal side. The interior (particularly on blustery winter day) felt spare and even a bit harsh (but again to be fair this location seems largely setup for take-out). The food I thought was tasty but not as mind altering as I remember. The sides seemed above average but not exceptional.Smallish (but of course free) adjacent parking lot. Exterior bears little resemblance to the establishment it replaced. The interior was updated but hardly transformed. As it turned out, not a bad choice for the birthday person but I'm happy that the host paid for everything. If I had paid myself I might have felt ripped off. Maybe not. I guess we'll just have to see.

Brasa is my favorite restaurant in all of the Twin Cities! Each location has its delights! Pulled pork is spectacular (always) plus the Yuca and green sauce - yummy!!!

Bonsoir tout le monde !This place is absolutely amazeballs! I cannot say enough good things about it, it's just that good! First off, the food was to die for (not literally, I like living). We had the family platter with the smothered chicken, and added some cornbread (yes, I'm gon eat my cornbread) if you know you know. The chicken was delicious and absolutely tender, melting in my mouth like a popsicle on the Fourth of July! And the green dip for the chips, forget about it (in my most Italian voice ever). The guy at the register (sorry I didn't catch your name my dude), but he was freaking legitness. He made sure we were taken care of, and didn't fray when we took awhile. The outside seating was boss level, (like some kardashian level shizz, not really, but you get what I mean). I 1000% recommend, stop being lazy, go get in your freaking tesla (stopping at like 2 chargers along the way lol) and bring your hipster self down to get some insanely delicious food!À la prochaine !

Stopped in last night (I believe it was their grand opening?) and the place was packed at 7:00pm! They have a few small tables along with a bar up against the windows that you can sit at. Looks like the windows open up completely when the weather is nice so that is pretty neat. The chilaquiles were my favorite! They ran out of Mac and cheese so I will have to return to try that. Food was delicious and they also have beers on the menu :)

It was a beautiful summer day and we were driving along Main Street in Hopkins to find a place to eat outside. We saw that Brasa had a nice clean, looking outdoor eating area. We checked yelp and saw some good reviews so went in.At this restaurant, you order at the front and then they bring your food to you, including outside. The young man helping us was very patient and pleasant as other reviewers have said there is a tip jar when you pay with a credit card there's no option to add a tip , and I suppose it's debatable whether you should tip if you're ordering the food at the counter. The outside area was nothing fancy, but it was nice and clean, and there was a little pergola over some of the tables to add some shade. My mother got the chicken, which was very good. The green sauce was a nice addition. She said she probably would get the chicken bowl if she comes again.I got the pork bowl which was fantastic. I highly recommend that dish. The pork was moist. Two people could easily share that bowl, I was stuffed after eating it. We debated going next-door to the DQ for dessert, but we were both too full.I definitely will return to Brasa.

My mouth waters when I think about the pork bowl. The egg, rice, spinach, red sauce, and crispy onion all go together to literally punch you in the mouth. The plantains are my runner-up here. Crispy and chewy. Now, I have probably tried everything else, including the rotisserie chicken. I load it up with the green sauce. Oh, the green sauce. Can they just bottle this up and sale it already?! I have to put a request in here for everyone to try the butterscotch pudding. Butterscotch is not one of my favorite flavors, but Brasa is doing it right. It's buttery and creamy. The toffee on top provides a contrast that makes me drool in public. Good thing this location is mostly for take-out, so I can do that at home.I have to give a shoutout to the service here. I feel like everyone is trying to be my friend. Like, when did I get so popular?! Seriously though, the people are great and really friendly. Now, back to my pork bowl. ***drools***

First time here and loved it. I had the rotisserie chicken bowl basically like a jambalaya everything was tender and loved the flavors. The place wasn't what I expected it's a cross between fast food and full service so seating is limited it's a small space but enjoyable. No fountain drinks it's all bottles and cans.Additionally if you pay with card there's no where to give a tip so bring cash. The people were lovely, food was tasty and quick.
