Great location. Good parking. Good concessions and Mikes Mini Donuts! Good selection at the concessions except they were out of Carmel corn. Reasonably priced. Arenas are clean and good visibility. Bring a blanket. It is chilly

When it is cold outside, the bride and I like to take our walks. If it is too slippery, we can hit this oasis of tentdom and walk and walk and walk.It is fun to watch all the soccer players get their game on during a good 3 mile hike with the most perfect person ever.Hit the dome if you want a walk!

We came here for a girls hockey game. The facility has plenty of parking and an adequate concession stand. The ice was in good condition and the confines were friendly enough. Again, this review is from the perspecitvie of someone who attended a sportingn event - which was enjoyable, not major complaints.

This review is based on my sole visit to this arena as a fan however I have been to enough arena's in my life to have a pretty good idea of what I'm looking for. We made the drive over to Braemar to watch some NHL level hockey in the summertime with Da Beauty League. Three games with two halves instead of three periods and mostly running time. The game is set up for skating and excitement. Its 4-4 hockey. If there is a penalty, its a live penalty shot with no power play. For those not sure of what a live penalty shot is, (I wasn't either) the player skates in for his shot followed by the remaining skaters on the ice. If he scores, the play stops. If the goalie makes the save, the play continues. Pretty cool concept. The announcer is entertaining and when a goal is scored announces the player and team that he is playing for.The arena itself has plenty of parking both on the main lot and a lower lot which is more private. There are three rinks available inside. The rink that we were on seemed to be the main rink with seating on both sides as well as seating in a concourse like area above. They actually do have a concession stand in that area and locker rooms below. The set up is like a small professional rink. The ice looked good and had we lived in this area, I wouldn't mind at all coming over here to skate. Looks like there are some men's leagues that play as well as high school teams and open hockey. As long as Da Beauty League continues, we'll probably find our way here as its an entertaining game and a nice way to stay cool during the summer.

Skated here with my two girls (4 and 2) at a birthday party. The ice was great, skate rental good, the place wasn't overly crowded. Only problem I had was that they didn't provide helmets for the kids who were renting skates. From a cost point of view, it seems like investing in 20 helmets is a hell of a lot cheaper than having a lawyer respond to some parent's lawsuit when their kid cracks their head on the ice. Just my two cents. It also would have made me feel a little better. Especially since every other rink I've been to makes you wear their helmet.

Braemar offers year round open skating. At only $4 a visit and $2 to rent skates, it's a decent deal. For kids who need help on the ice, they have some walker-type things made out of PVC pipes included in the price of admission. Too bad their open skate times are rather limited - only about 2 hours a day (and not every day of the week either). It's decently busy (but not crowded) on weekends during open skate, but I had the ice to myself for nearly an hour one weekday morning. If you want to skate regularly, they offer individual and family passes, and classes of all types for all ages.
