The food here is fresh and tasty with options for vegetarians and gluten free. The food is made to order so while it has a fast food vibe it takes a bit longer to get your food. It is worth the wait! They have a parking lot and are a good option for the days you can't sit down for a longer meal at their restaurant across the street.

Decent priced Tex-Mex food! It's a nice little spot if you are visiting the area and the prices aren't outrageous. I believe this place has been here for years so you should totally stop by!The inside is a bit cramped but there's a few spots to sit down. I usually order to go. The service is always very nice, they will walk you through the menu if needed.I totally forgot to take pics so you'll have to trust me on this one! I ordered the enchiladas, nachos, tamale, and churro bites. The enchiladas are decent but I recommend the fried flour tacos. The fried tacos are similar to Taco Bell Chalupas! The nachos on the other hand were really good, they added so much meat and I 100% recommend adding nacho cheese on top! The tamales were also really authentic which really surprised me lol. It reminded me of my mom's tamales! As for the churro bites, they were pretty yummy but the portions were a bit small. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and it's really cool that it's been here for so long. :) I will def be back for the nachos and tamales! :D

It's been years since I've been here, but was in the area and stopped for lunch. Tried the number 5 combo which included two hard shell tacos and a side. I choose a side of beans. I normally don't like beans, but I really like theirs. Added a fried flour taco. Left full and satisfied. The combo does include a drink too. Friendly service and everything was fresh. The flour taco was amazing! Lunch for under $12. Will be back in the future.

While there are some tables for dining in, I view this more as an elevated takeout establishment. It has a counter for placing your order. The wait wasn't too long to get my order. I've also ordered online and picked up my order, which was even speedier. The appeal for me here is that it's across the street from Boca Chica Mexican restaurant (a sit down dine in restaurant), and has a very similar menu. I suspect they have the same owners (given the name similarities). I've gotten the deep fried beef tacos, a pound of chips, and a pint of hot salsa; they were tasty. They also have some family meals I'd like to try in the future. I've been going to the sit down version of this restaurant for decades; trying the taco house was new. I wish I'd tried it sooner!

Stopped by for a quick lunch. It was pretty busy so I was excited for the food. This is a small spot. We ordered quite a bit of food and enjoyed all of it. The crispy beef taco was probably the standout thing on the menu. Very tasty. Would recommend for a quick tasty lunch!

Visited 5/18/24. Taco house will forever be a fave. My family's favorite thing to do is get taco house take out and eat with beers at Wabasha brewing (would definitely recommend). Are things slightly greasier here? Of course, but that's part of the appeal. The enchiladas are my fave and both beef and cheese are consistently solid. I also adore the rice. My sister got a veg taco burrito and my mom got a few hard shells. Overall, the place is a St. Paul staple that I recommend to many. Sit on Wabasha's patio, stretch out and sip some brews while enjoying this food!

Good food, just stopped in very quickly to get some food for the road and the vibes were great and welcoming. Servers helped with food questions, and the actual items were delicious. Definitely worth stopping by for some cheap and delicious food.

my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Twin Cities area! Friendly staff! Clean eating area. Food is delicious! I can't decide if I love the fried flour tacos or soft corn tacos more, so I get one of each! Taco salad is another fav. I love their chips and salsa (nice kick ). I'll drive 40 miles from home to eat there, even tho there are several Mexican restaurants in my area. Try their eat in bar/restaurant across the street. Fabulous lunch buffet!

There are few items on the menu. I absolutely love, the soft chicken tacos, and the traditional tacos are my absolute favorites. The rice and beans are both done very well and my kids really enjoy the fried beef tacos as well as but tamales and chicken flautas. I very much enjoy Boca Chica taco house. I frequent them often and when asked by friends or family where I want to go to get food I always suggest This place. The staff is often very kind, and the dining room is clean and inviting to dine in. There's also a small area outside to eat if that's what you prefer!
