DO NOT SHOP HERE! Terrible customer service!You would think after 20 plus years of being in business they would have better ethics. NOT THE CASE!I spent 27.00 with tax on 8 napkins. They were 10.95 for a set of 4. I had two sets. It was clearly marked on the ticket 4 napkins for 10.95. I needed 8 napkins. I told the owner that I needed 8 napkins for my new napkin holders.I got home and realized there were only 6 napkins. I called the owners of the shop and asked if they could be returned that there were only 6 napkins. 3 per set. She said she had counted them before I bought them and refused to return them. A $27 purchase from a high-end Hopkins antique mall. Utterly pathetic!Terrible service do not recommend them at all. Terrible people that can't stand by thier word and merchandise. I have been 20 years and have never been treated like this in this business for over napkins.

Wow - RUDE!!!! The owner called the police because my friend parked too close to the curb and yesterday accosted another friend who was walking their 8 lb dog. She RAN across the street screaming NOOOOO because the dog piddled and as they got in their car she rushed up to the car and screamed at them because of this little dog who doesn't pee more then a tsp at a time. Is this really the kind of business owner we need in Hopkins - talk about scaring away customers.

Exceptionally rude staff. I had my 4 year old well behaved son along for a very quick stop specifically looking for an oil painting. They have a bowl of candy at the door and my son helped himself to one piece upon arrival. I made my way through the store and found a gorgeous $495 painting I was preparing to purchase. Meanwhile, my son dropped his candy on the floor almost immediately after he put it in his mouth and I told him he could get a new one as we were leaving. We went back upstairs where the candy is located and my son went ahead of me to grab a piece as I looked at a few more items. I go to get him as he was taking a bit longer than I thought he should take and he was sitting on a chair crying in tears because the VERY mean and heartless women took the bowl away. I simply asked if he could have a piece when I saw this and she said "He already had some." In such a rude way. I was shocked. A piece of simple candy...?!? What? I told her that he dropped his and she still said no. I immediately let her know that I will not now or NEVER shop there again. I was dressed in leggings with my hair in a top knot since I had just came from a spin class. It felt like she was judging me based on my appearance or something. Like a scene out of "Pretty Women". Awful awful place. And extremely overpriced. All the other antique shops on this street were very welcoming to myself and my son and they also commented on how well behaved he was. I'm still in shock on how myself and my son were just treated.

I've also never had such HOrRIBLE "Customer service" in my entire life. once made a couple of fair offers at blakes antiques on items that were unprofessionally, very rudely and PIGISHLY denied. Also I will NEVER recommend antique shopping there as I've heard some nasty things come out of the owner Linda Dicksons mouth about customers while I was shopping around. I myself will not return. Not only did you lose my interest You lost all my friends and family's too. Keep being a snot why don't you.

Over priced antiques and the owner Linda has poor customer service. I've Never been treated so poorly at a "professional business". I have been shopping here for years it's a shame to see the business go down the wrong road with uneducated management and owner.

I was accused of shoplifting and had the police called on me.This is the first bad review I've ever written. I bought a $120 coin, exited the shop and entered the next antique shop. When I exited the next antique shop there were two officers looking for me. They explained that the older woman running the shop said she saw me shoplifting in another antique shop in Stillwater (likely just because I'm younger than most coin collectors). However, the police officers said that there was nothing they could do for her.Needless to say, I'll never be back. And I'd suggest no one else do business with Blake Antiques either. I've been going to Blake Antiques for years. It's a fun shop to go through, lots to see even if I don't find anything. A few times I've made offers on items, and the people at the desk are always courteous & call the consignor. Prices tend to be on the higher end, but I've found things to buy. And it's always a treat to peruse an antique mall if the shop has nice items, like this one does.

Prior to Christmas I purchased a large beautiful piece of framed art. I was told I could pick it up on Christmas eve. When I arrived xmas eve prior to 1pm the store was closed already. I was so disappointed because I am from out of town.After xmas I was exposed to someone with covid, so I had to quarantine. Just this week I finally went to swing in and grab it and was told I owed an additional fee (over 10 % more than I had paid ) for storage. I said oh, I just spoke to a lovely women yesterday and she never mentioned that. The woman who claimed she was the owner immediately elevated her voice and started yelling at me that if I didn't give her the additional funds she would not give me the paid for merchandise. I tried to reason with her and explain the above mentioned information and it seemed to enrage her even more, so out of context!!! She took the art to the back room and screamed at me to just leave? I was shocked and getting a bit frightened by her disproportionate behavior. I finally said fine here is your 12% storage fee please just give me the art and I will leave and you will never see me again.I was so sad. The woman who had originally helped me had been very sweet and charming and frankly I was just in disbelief that any customer during these trying times should be treated in this manner.She refused to give me the piece of art. I will note she also refused to give me a refund!!!! She said she would send it to me? She refused to take my address!!!!!My only recourse is to call the BBB and my credit card company and to let anyone who cares know, That this is not a business to support.I have been there many times and have never encountered such overtly aggressive behavior. She actually tried to lock the front door and make me leave through the back. Even an older gentleman (perhaps her father) who was sitting in attendance rolled his eyes and shook his head when I looked over to him to perhaps add some reason.DO NOT SUPPORT OR GO HERE IF YOU CARE TO BE TREATED RESPECTFULLYOR WITH HONOR. JUST PLAIN SAD...

I consigned some things a couple of years ago with Linda, the owner. The terms were that she would keep them in the store for a period of time, then call me when she wanted them gone. I would then have to pick up. She sold a couple of items and sent me a check. I sort of forgot about the rest and emailed her yesterday to ask about the status of the remaining pieces (should I pick up, did you sell, what do you want me to do?). I received the rudest message ever, saying "your time is up, are you kidding me, don't contact me again". So either she has my items or has sold them and kept the money. I am shocked this woman is still in business. I feel bad for her; she obviously has a problem. Beware: do not consign with her!

The owner of this store is rude and this store is ridiculously overpriced. The owner served my daughter and when we asked as to the pice flexibility of an item, she treated us with complete disdain. This is not the first time I have seen this behavior in the store. She overprices her items in my view. With so many other nice stores with courteous staff, I plan to always shop elsewhere. I would add that she refused to call her consignor to ask about a price reduction. I would not consign with this person. She made an otherwise delightful afternoon with my daughter unenjoyable.
